Who: Anitta and @roman-werewolfy
Where: The Lone Wolf
When: The night before the snow flies
Things were getting...boring. This was the cycle. She ended up somewhere, she went about her business, then things slowed down and she didn't know what to do with herself. She didn't know how to spend time with herself even though the life of an original was to be alone. Even with her siblings and their truce with the Morgraves, tenuous as it was, originals were still alone. Always.
It helped to be around other wolves at least. She tended to frequent those spaces since they felt more like home. Or at least more comforting. Home was a strange concept these days. Other wolves did the same without really meaning to she noticed. Packs were always forming everywhere including Raven's Peak. She had left that life behind a long time ago.
"It never ceases to amaze me how many new ways humans come up with to drink liquor," she mentioned to another wolf that was often at the bar next to her she'd noticed. Handsome but with an air of neglect. "You notice how they mix pretty much anything together to get drunk?"

"Given we're stuck here," Chuck answered with a shrug, "I'd go with just ordering another coffee." She finally let her eyes land back on the woman. Another vampire. She could smell it. Well that could get hairy if they were stuck here too long. Chuck of course had years of experience denying cravings.
She sighed deeply as she dug in her pocket and grabbed a pack of gum. Nicotine gum specifically. "Here," she tossed the pack at the girl, "This helps too."

Lennon anxiously tapping her fingers against the table she was siting at, turning her head toward the window in attempts to distract herself from the empty cup of coffee that sat in front of her. By the look of it, no one was going anywhere any time soon. Controlling her hunger was easy on a normal basis, but this storm was anything but typical. The caffeine helped, though her drink was something she'd finished almost an hour ago. She needed to focus on anything at this point, even if that meant forcing herself to engage in small talk. "Sooo, how soon is too soon to order another coffee?"

Chuck hadn't taken any jobs in weeks now. She wanted to make sure she was around for Vicente if he needed someone for the change. If she had been left alone when she changed, there was just no telling what she would have done. There was plenty of blood on her hands during that time but all of those were intentional. And regardless of what she felt about Noah now, he really did help then. After being in Raven's Peak so consistently she had settled into a rythym that included getting a cup of coffee occasionally. Sitting watching people out the window. The same as she was doing today though it somehow felt more sinister.
"Probably," she answered the woman who attempted to leave but almost immediately came back inside. And none too gracefully. "Doesn't look like anyone is going to be going anywhere for a little bit."

It hadn't seemed so bad when she'd gotten her things together and left for work that morning. Just some snow, no big deal, she was used to this kind of winter weather by now. She would probably have to deal with some car accidents due to people not knowing how to drive in wintry weather - or just the general risk in attempting when the weather got dicey. Hopefully nothing too crazy.
At least, the plan had been to grab a coffee and pastry, enjoy the morning for a bit at Cup O' Joy, and then set out for the office. That plan changed rather quickly when the winds started picking up, temperature dropped, and the snow started building. Had she lost track of time, or had the weather really turned that quickly? She made an attempt to depart from the establishment only to be nearly thrown over by the wind, feet slipping out from under her. Arms pinwheeling, she grabbed onto the handle of the door to keep herself from falling straight onto her ass, skittering awkwardly back into the building and pushing the doors closed firmly behind her.
Tumblr media
Brushing snow from her hair and clothes she glanced up at anyone who might've caught the rather ungraceful attempted exit. "Perhaps it's best to just hang out here a while. Hope it clears back up?"

"Oh it's fine," Mollie shrugged as she followed the girl to the counter, "I was actually going to ask you the same thing." Being stuck in the same spot with really no information or plan for what to do was stressful for anyone. But the staff had to feel responsible to a certain degree. Mollie knew she would if they were stuck at the apothecary.
"At least there's other people here, right?" She tried to keep it positive even though she was starting to worry more and more. "Could be worse. Could be stuck somewhere alone."

Arden had been watching outside the store window's for a while now, a normal shift had taken a turn until the weather had other ideas. The snowfall was almost peaceful until it wasn't just snow, the shine of the layer of ice glaring back at her before she finally backed away. "Well this shift got longer than I thought it'd be when I got dressed this morning." She said though the blonde could list a few worse places to be stuck during a storm, at least if she got hungry she could dig into some of the snacks she kept handy. Arden walked over to the counter, hopping up on it before taking a look around the store. "Hey — sorry, I didn't think anyone would be approaching the counter. Are you holding up okay?"

The storm didn't feel normal. So far it had been and she was starting to think that everything in the last year had just made her paranoid. The demons and the fog making a snow storm feel more sinister than it truly was. But the longer it went on, the longer she wondered. She had really only meant to stop at the store for a minute to check on Kai and then...well there was no leaving now.
"Jay," Mollie smiled over at him from where she was staring out the window hoping for a break in the weather. "I'm alright. Worried about Marisol. She's stuck at my house right now but she said she's fine when I talked with her earlier. What about you? You feeling ok?"

They had been trapped in here for hours and Jay couldn’t sit still. He hated to think of himself as trapped, but that’s exactly what he was. What they all were. The storm showed no signs of letting up, the snow kept piling up outside, and nobody knew how long they would be in here. What if they were stuck for days? What was he supposed to do? Immediately his thoughts went to Jensen, making him frown. He moved again, putting more distance between them. And what about the werewolf, Jay thought, his gaze flickering to her for a second, her scent unmistakable. Did people know? What were they supposed to do about that? He didn’t think on it long, on any of it, because there he spotted Mollie. Finally, a friendly face. Jay approached her with a kind smile. “Hey, Mollie. You holding up okay?”

"Of course," Mollie answered the woman as she rounded the counter to come stand beside her. Helping people was really why she kept her parents store running in the first place. It was her favorite part of the job.
"Lots of these will do some healing or help you find happiness but it really depends on what the focus is. Amethyst will clear away negative thoughts," she held up a purple bracelet, "It's quite popular. But black tourmaline will help with fear and anxiety." Even if someone wasn't a witch, all of the charms in the apothacary would still work. Mollie had made sure of that.
She gave the girl an appraising look with a tilt of her head, "You must be new in town? I don't think I've seen you here before?"

Before she had moved, her friend had tried to get her into crystals. stating that they could help. Not that she was opposed to the idea, but with juggling a divorce, a toddler, moving, and trying not to lose her own mind she didn't give it much thought.
She had been thinking more about it lately though. Unfortunately most of what she had learned from said friend had gone out the window. She thought about reaching back out but the fact her husband was friends with her ex had her nixing the idea.
She looked at the bracelets grabbing one reading the tag, "Excuse me," She said looking up at the person near her, "do you know what ones are supposed to help with healing and happiness?"

She both heard and felt him move but didn't move herself. If he wanted to kill her for everything she had done, this would be the moment to do it. And she wasn't going to stop him. Maybe then he'd finally feel like they were even and stop trying to create his own personal hell. Of course, was she any different? Most of her vampire life she had been punishing herself for something she hadn't even chosen. It wasn't this life that she regretted, just her maker. And even that she didn't really regret so much as hate she had to live with it. And live with how little he cared about her. But the rest was a far cry from where she had been as a human.
"Yes, it's real," she whispered without moving. She remembered the change. How much everything was after that. Sights, smells, textures. It was just all at once. She got used to it and so would he if he chose to stay with her. No, she couldn't think about it like that. This couldn't be about her. He had to make this choice for him. "And if you feed, then it's permanent. Until some hunter decides you're done. But if you don't feed, then you get to die. Up to you." She tried to keep the inflection out of her voice but it still sounded so sad. Where were these emotions coming from? She never used to be like this and now every time she was around him this is what came out.
The tears she had cursed just the other night when they had shared a dance were falling again and she wiped angrily at her face, still not daring to turn around. If she looked at him, she would tell him things she would rather keep to herself. At least until he made his choice.
Tumblr media
This wasn't what was supposed to have happened. He wasn't supposed to be here, anymore. Vicente wasn't sure what all was expected, but certainly not this. The dark realist inside said it would have been a vast of nothingness -- just nonexistence entirely, which was a frightening concept enough. But they all knew that demons existed and they came from exactly where the storybooks claimed they would... So the odds that he would wind up there, to suffer torture and misery for the end of time, was highly likely, too.
And yet here he was, as alive as ever. Practically buzzing inwardly. With thoughts and feelings and faculties as before, and yet somehow everything felt so different.
"My choice?" This wasn't his choice. She knew that. However... As his hands flattened to the bed and he stared down at himself and the lack of fresh bruises and breaks and open wounds... What she meant, he understood. The woman had forced his hand before. That choice he'd made, it was brought under duress. He would have never given himself up so easily unless there was no other options and that's where he had been at, because she had to tell her family -- the people she loved and cared about -- of the danger lurking from thus hunter. She'd taken the choice. And now... Had given it back?
There was so much to process. Perhaps too much. It made his head hurt, almost immediately. Because it battled with other things, like some empty gnawing at his stomach. And the need to seek her.
Maybe, even, a part of him couldn't believe this was real. Was this hell? Had hell turned him into a physical manifestation of the very monsters he chased through life? Because as Noah had been so kind to remind him, he was no less a monster as they.
Tumblr media
As her back turned to him again, Vicente was there. It was almost the blink of an eye, the way that space was cleared and he was there, pressing in behind her. His face breathing down the back of her neck. "Is this real?" his voice was quiet still, fingers fanning through some of the tendrils of blonde hair in stark confusion. He smelled them-- she smelled real. In fact, he'd never smelled her so clearly before.

With her position at White Willow questionable now, Willow was working almost double at the diner. Other than classes, she was always working. It helped keep her distracted but it also she needed the money. Who didn't these days.
"Not officially but you get the right waitress and that just might work out for you," she answered the person that had just walked in knowing they weren't really talked to her. Or anyone it looked like. She grabbed a menu and silverware and nodded toward a booth, "Actually come to think of it, both of us working today could probably hook you up. You want a booth or a table?"

After the events that had happened at the clinic, Micah and Baylie had agreed to meet to talk things out. It was probably best that they did it in public, not that she thought anything bad could happen, but who really knew? The thought of bringing Kian with her crossed her mind. But, with the weather the way it was and not knowing how Micah would react, she decided it was best to keep him at home with the nanny.
The thought about cancelling on Micah had crossed her mind, as she was on her way. But she wanted to try to make an effort, even though her head was telling her to do otherwise. She walked in, glancing around for the man before glancing back outside at the weather, grimacing. Even if Micah didn’t show up, at least she got a good meal. She wasn’t even sure if she would make it home, but she could go to the clinic for a bit waiting for the storm to pass.
“I wonder if this place has alcohol,” she muttered, more to herself than anyone else. It could at least ease her anxiety a bit.

Willow snorted. They did need someone like him but, in her opinion, not nearly as much as he needed them. People that only saw the good in the world tended to have it stamped out of them pretty easily. And the world needed the good. Which means it also needed people that saw the bad. Not something worth arguing over tonight though and she was far too drunk to really care about that right now.
"Well at the very least we can agree that the food is delicious and the drinks are flowing and I need someone to dance with while he's off getting pointers from the band," she tilted her head with a soft whine, "You gonna leave me hanging Jess?"
Tumblr media
He could just hear the thoughts churning in her head, but Jesse was quietly thankful that Willow seemed to understand now wasn't the time. She was going to give him a break tonight and he appreciated that. Even if she pressed him further, he wouldn't be able to answer what he was thinking or feeling -- it was all confusing.
Tumblr media
"I wouldn't underestimate the guy," Jesse commented, finally picking up another finger food from his plate, "he's just got a more positive outlook than people like us n' sometimes, that's just as valuable. Not everythin' gonna be doom n' gloom all the time." As he chewed on the end of the food, his eyes moved to hers. "We need someone like him."

Willow sank onto the couch next to her friend and tried to figure out how to mask this whole thing. It used to come second nature to her. She could hide anything from anyone. Now, she was just too close to a lot of these people for them to believe any of that. It was her own doing. She might have screwed up by staying here so long. She was going to hurt someone.
"It'll be fine...I-I'll be fine. I'm not the first person to go through a breakup. Not even the first breakup I've been through." She shrugged and picked up one of the bags to sort through with no intention of actually eating any of it. For better or worse, lack of hunger was always something she felt at this point in her cycle. She wasn't high right now, but she was definitely thinking about it. Her make up was likely heavily smudged and she rubbed at her eyes to try and wipe it. "Nothing really to talk about."
Tumblr media
When Willow came into view, Ria saw just how hard things had been for her since they'd last seen each other. It took everything in her to not walk up to her best friend and pull her into a tight hug. The dark circles under her eyes and the way her shoulders slumped could only mean one thing, and Ria hated to think that Willow had made those choices, but she wasn't going to judge her for it.
"Thankfully the food isn't in a rush to be eaten, and I have no other plans. So, we can hang out here not talk, or we can talk. We can do whatever you want. I'm here for you, just like you're always there for me." She said as she put the bags containing the snacks down on the coffee table and sat down on the couch. "You don't have to deal with shit alone, Willow, you know that. I'm just sorry I wasn't here sooner."

Anitta still had issues with witches. Even an eternity later. There were no specific ones that she could name but the bottom line was really her wolves. Her family. What happened to the other species wasn't within her control. Though it found her really interesting how integrated the species were in Raven's Peak. It had always been a haven so to speak. But never quite this...comfortable. So comfortable in fact that witches were in a werewolf bar.
"You could say that," she smiled almost wickedly sliding another drink across the table to the woman. "I just had something I wanted to ask you."

Not usually Aisley’s spot, but she’d promised Micah she’d come see his place, and since she had to come into the university on a ridiculously cold day, she decided she would drop by for something to drink before heading home. Sitting at one of the small tables, she sipped on her whiskey as she watched the people wander in off the street or shrug into coats to head back out into the weather. They seemed an eclectic bunch, though she could sense the underlying thread of wildness in several that spoke of wolf or fae heritage.
Sensing more than seeing someone drop into a chair at her table, Aisley calmly took another sip of her drink without looking around. “I certainly hope you’ve come to provide some excellent conversation.”

"I don't know," she shrugged and let her gaze lose focus as she remembered the conversation with Elizabeth, "It was during the fiasco with the demons so. It's likely it has to do with that. Of course," she came back to herself and glanced down at her glass wishing alcohol had the same affect on her it had when she was human, "What happens with the vampires isn't really under our purview. I know some of them are easier to work with but Noah himself, it'd be unlikely he'd accept our assistance."
She watched her brother with a soft fondness on her face. She had missed him. This life, regardless of what they had done to deserve it, could be very lonely. At least for her. She often felt on the outside. They were all equally cursed but she felt more responsible than the others. It was her job to take care of her siblings and, in her opinion, she had failed spectacularly. Her father had used that against her and it had replaced the digs he typically made at her being only half related to them. "I love the hope you still carry Atlas. I wish I shared it so completely. The most I can say at this point is that I have faith in you. That should be enough but I suppose we'll see."
Tumblr media
The news about Noah took Atlas by surprise. "He was? By who?" Surely that wasn't connected to the fog. But, how could they be sure of that when they didn't understand what had been going on as of late. Things in Raven's Peak were seemingly changing daily. The old rules, what they had always known to be true, it didn't matter anymore because something more was going on. It was frustrating to not understand the cause, but Atlas was confident that with so many of the original families back in town, together they could figure it out. Or, at least come closer to getting answers.
"Maybe not, but if there are some Ravenlock descendants running around, maybe if there are a few of them, they could conjure up that kind of power together." It seemed like a stretch, but if the Morettis and Morgraves were back, it wouldn't be strange for some of the Ravenlocks to have found their way to town too. They might not have been the same witches from back when the stone was broken, but they still had Ravenlock blood. It was worth a shot, even if it was a shot in the dark. "That's understandable, but maybe it's something to try. This town has already taken so much from all of us, I don't want to allow it to take any more."

"Agreed," she watched the side of his face with a furrowed brow as he looked to the other vampire. Would he kill him then? No. Surely there were ways to make him forget without resorting to that. While typically the spilling of blood had no affect on her emotions one way or the other. People lived and then they died. Lately it had frustrated her. Annoyed her even. Did they have to always be the bringers of death? Vampires were dead and not really her problem. But wolves? The were still warm. Their hearts still beat.
Really what he chose to do with the vampire wasn't her business. Leave vampires to the vampires really. "There are pure wolves in these woods as well," she offered by way of an excuse. A normal wolf really wouldn't have the speed or desire to catch a vampire but, if they were making things up now they might as well use what they have. "Not completely believable but...probably more believable than a cure for a werewolf bite." Her eyes finally left him to look at the vampire with as much indifference as she could muster to cover the anxiety she was truly feeling.
Tumblr media
Even if she tried her hardest to disguise her disgust, Noah knew the way she felt about him and vampires as a whole. There was a time when he would've been beside her in that. Drinking blood, if he stopped to think about it, was revolting fundamentally. But it was a curse that had been bestowed upon him, his cross to bear. It was, and had been for a long time now, his only way of life. Life - or whatever it was he was leading these days.
Granted, Noah didn't really care how Anitta felt one way or another about him. Clearly she didn't respect him nor care for him in any way. So his gaze shifted from her stony expression to the wound on her arm once she swallowed the blood from his palm. It only took a moment for the wound to change, to close and begin to heal. Rapidly.
"That is one word for it," he murmured. It changed things...didn't it? It felt like it did. But maybe it didn't have to. At the very least, though, he needed to talk to his siblings.
Slowly his eyes travel back over towards the young vampire, seemingly still dazed from the events that had unfolded. "We can't let this get out," he says slowly, chewing thoughtfully on the inside of his cheek. He could take care of Elias, make him forget everything that had happened with a little compulsion - but he wasn't the only one that knew Elias had been bitten. So when he turns back up, good and well... The targets painted on their backs were already big enough, as it were.

"Nor wolf," Anitta laughed. She was not the artistic type but some of her writings and the information she'd cataloged on families had ended up in those situations. There had even been a few situations where she'd stolen it back. it was more important for the wolves to have that than the humans. "Of course, there are still some cultures that believe in us completely. It amuses me how we've lived on with some humans and others have relegated us to fable. Myth. There are days I feel like a myth to be quite honest but...I suppose that just comes with the territory." She lifted her cup to her lips but set it back down almost immediately. The feeling of unease being back in this town settling over her again.
Tumblr media
Her shoulders relaxed as Anitta acknowledged the beauty and good that the Originals had brought to the world. Elizabeth couldn’t always be sure how her fellow Originals would react to their long lives. Sometimes the years weighed heavily, but she truly did love most of the experiences she’d had over the years.
Hunters notwithstanding.
“I do love wandering through a museum and coming across a piece of my work,” Elizabeth chuckled. “Or something Victor carved and created during a particularly inspired moment. It amuses me to read the history of the work, and the guesses people make about the artist. Sometimes they’re quite fanciful, and other times they come closer to the truth than they might have guessed.” Mischief danced in her laughter. “Granted, they never do jump to vampire, so I’d say we come out ahead in the game.”

Willow tried not to scoff to loudly. They were being polite, and she appreciated it, but she didn't really look all that impressive compared to everyone here. But that really didn't matter. Or so she kept telling herself. "Thanks," she managed with a shrug.
"Yea but," she sucked in a deep breath and pursed her lips as she looked up at the building thoughtfully, "Maybe it needed to be. You know? Like after that festival and what a shit show that was. I dunno. Maybe we needed something...out of the ordinary." She looked back at them and her smile was more real this time. "I think so, got my fresh air. You want a drink?"

Chuck huffed out some bitter laughter. "Yea, well, even high standards don't really save you from much." She licked her bottom lip and tried to look anywhere but at Mik, it wasn't fair to bring down his happy mood with her bullshit. Though he always said they were friends, right? Not that she really knew what that meant. If she had to guess what a friend was like, she would describe Mik. But trusting people had burned her almost every time.
"Since when am I the friend that says stupid shit like that unless it's true? Have you met me?" She shook her head at him in mock disappointment. At least in that, she knew she was consistent. She wasn't going to sugar coat anything. "And I'm usually right about that stuff."
Tumblr media
“My apologies, I should have said high standards.  What is with everyone having high standards all of a sudden?”  For Mikael, he tended to bat eyelashes with anyone willing to give him any form of attention and/or affection.  Probably why he ended up in the mess he did, but he was trying to do better now.
“You’re too sweet.  You have to say that because you’re my friend.  But I do hope you’re right.”  There was a chuckle that fell from his lips as he shook his head.  “No, trust me it can’t be that.  Like yeah, I am a witch but I’m not really connected to my powers.  Like, I have them and can do simple things.  But never been you know, all deep with the elements and all.”

"Your one night stands don't usually involve catching feelings," she corrected. Maybe what they had done wasn't all that different but how Mik was talking about him sure was. She couldn't remember him ever talking about anyone like this really. He might have talked about his ex like this but that was a nut that Chuck was still trying to crack. She knew something had happened. That much was apparent. But he wasn't sharing details.
"I dunno," she took a deep drink from the bottle in her hand and then leaned forward to put it on the coffee table, "In my experience, men are pretty selfish lovers. Hopefully your experience is better."
Tumblr media
The ‘No’ came quickly out of her mouth, but Mikael said nothing about it.  Perhaps, she was always meant to be a vampire.  Hard to say, but since she wasn’t providing anymore feedback, he figured it was safe to assume she did not want to discuss it much further.  Perhaps something to discuss on a different day.
“I mean, it really isn’t a lot.  Nothing, I haven’t done before with one night stands.”  Mikael commented with no shame.  “I mean I do, but I also think maybe the connection is just in my head.  Maybe it was just a few fun nights together.  I dunno,” he admitted to his friend.  “But yes, he was a hell of a lay.”
