New Save File: Bedrock Strait, Oasis Springs My goal this year is to make over an entire save file, starting with Oasis Springs. Kicking it off with the owners of a trailer park in Bedrock Strait (+ family from other places).

Darlene Fowler

Darlene took over her father's trailer park when she was twenty-three. It was supposed to be for only six months or so, until someone offered a good price for it. But somehow, it's almost fifty years later and she's still here. Sitting in her robe on the porch, smoking her Marlboros, listening to her fox terrier, Betty, yapping at the TV that's blaring next door. The only thing that gets her forgotten heart beating is when a certain gentleman caller comes a'knocking.

Cameron Fowler

Cam was the result of a whirlwind romance between her mother and a travelling salesman who was passing through in the summer of 1983. When she asks her aunt Annabeth about him, all she's ever been told is that he was a no good hippie with dirty feet. But, as they say, history has a way of repeating itself, and she ended up pregnant at 16 by a no good wanderer of her own. She moved out of the trailer park as soon as she could and very rarely visits. As the years went by, all her efforts to keep herself out of any more trouble have earned her a name as the town loner.

Nate Fowler

Nate is a young man of very few words. After a childhood of being repeatedly dumped on his grandmother's doorstep with nothing more than a note, Darlene finally cleared out an old trailer round the back and let him have it. It's not much but it's finally a home that's his. He spends most days fixing up the place and doing odd jobs around town. And if he does need company, Madison next door is pretty quiet and she doesn't mind navigating the broken floorboards to get to his PlayStation.

Annabeth Silva

Annabeth Silva (née Fowler) has fond memories of growing up with her older sister in the trailer park. It was always such fun to meet people from all walks of life (apart from the ones who left generations of baggage behind after them). After her father died, she took off to explore the world, experience more cultures, and have as many adventures as she could. Along the way, she found the two loves of her life: cooking and her husband. Now they're here to settle in Bedrock Strait and she can get back to her roots.

Hernán Silva

Hernán was quite the ladies man in his day. The women of Selvadorada flocked to him. Or at least that's what he tells every single customer who visits his burger grill at his trailer each day. If you're not careful, you might catch the hint of bitterness in his voice as he talks about all the ones that got away once he got married. If you're even less careful, you might stick around too long and hear about the ones that didn't. Rumour has it, one of them lives in the very same trailer park.

Bastian Silva

Bastian spent his younger years in Selvadorada but always believed he was meant for better things. His mother begged him to move to Oasis Springs with them but he finds it too small and outdated. Unfortunately, moving to the Del Sol Valley, buying a bachelor pad, and working in real estate have done nothing to dispel the nickname of "Mega Douche" he was given in high school. And when he comes by his parents' trailer every so often to brag about the latest condo he earned "comish" on and to flash a new watch, the only person who welcomes him is his mommy.

Landgraab High School Yearbook, circa 2014

This is an illustration of some of the teenage townies from the Sims 4 in a school yearbook. This is based on my own story I’m making inspired by these characters, which is why some of them look different to their original Maxis counterparts (I gave them in game makeovers since they’re important characters).

The main characters of this story are Cassandra Goth, Hugo Villareal, Wolfgang Munch, Morgan Fyres, and Malcolm Landgraab. Luna Villareal, Sofia Bjergsen, Yuki Behr and Darling Walsh are all important to the story as well. And of course all of the family members of the characters mentioned are very important. The story is a coming of age mystery drama with a little bit of romance and comedy. It revovles around the daily lives of these teen characters but takes a turning point when Bella Goth goes missing, which leads Cassandra and other characters to start an investigation looking for her. There is of course the whole matter of Jacques Villareal and Nancy Landgraab running a whole underground crime ring as well, so things get pretty crazy and dark secrets about the families are revealed as the investigation continues.

I’ve been really obsessed with drawing these guys lately, but I’ve barely had any time to play the actual game, so most of the story is in my head or written hastily in my notes app lol. Let me know if you guys want to see more Sims art inspired by my townie story! I’d love to delve more into each character and their relationships with one another. Maybe even make some comics?

Myles and Rose met at their summer jobs, sorting files at Fareer Data Corporation, and realised they were going to be living in the same dorm at the University of Britechester. After a summer of being the office clowns and hanging out after work, they were best friends.

When people ask if they're together, Rose tells them about the time Myles got drunk, bought her a rose, and started reciting poetry. Except the "poem" was just the lyrics to Wonderwall. Safe to say, it's been purely platonic ever since.

Rose dreams of one day opening her own restaurant in her hometown of Tomarang. Her favourite weekends are spent trying out new recipes and dropping off the results at friends' houses.

She's spent her gap year experimenting with spices, learning Simlish, and picking up as many odd jobs as she can so she can go to UoB and study Culinary Arts.

Myles grew up in one of Tartosa's wealthiest families. But after discovering an immense talent for partying in high school, he failed most of his classes and was cut off by his father.

He's spent a year retaking his exams and bartending (+ still partying) so he can go to UoB to study Fine Arts.
