you long-suffering, endlessly patient angels get two memes today bc i deleted everything in my inbox on my rp blog and i made these memes to top off a solidly productive day! also, if you ever feel guilty about “not being productive” or having to delete drafts and memes in your tumblr life, DON’T! you’re wonderful and valid and your personal comfort and peace of mind is far more important than an overwhelming inbox or draft count! anyway, these are also self-serving, but also i feel no shame bc there’s an extreme lack of this very good vibe in my line of work, so here u go besties. [ UP ]:     sender extends a hand to the fallen receiver to help them to their feet after a fight/sparring match.

[ ARRIVE ]:     just as the receiver is about to lose hope and become defeated, the sender arrives at the last minute to help them fight their enemies.

[ EXTRA ]:    sender hands the receiver a spare weapon during a fight to give them a better chance after they break or lose their own.

[ WALL ]:     sender slams the receiver against a wall during a fight/sparring match.

[ COVER ]:    sender lunges forward to throw their body over the receiver and shield them from harm during a fight.

[ POWER ]: sender and/or receiver use their powers during a sparring match in order to develop and enhance their abilities.

[ UNLEASH ]: sender, while fighting with the receiver during a physical confrontation, uses their powers in an effort to gain the upper hand.

blinking a couple of times at her, the question caught him off guard. " uh--yeah. I mean--I can try." scrunching his mouth up and to one side, " I'm not as good of a swordsman as my brother, but..." still, he was a competent one. and getting better. drawing the pommel of his saber from his belt, looking it over before flickering his eyes back to her, " do you...have one?" he asked, feeling a bit hesitant. he could let her use his but...it'd feel like giving someone his arm. sure, someone could use it in a life threatening scenario. but you were suppose to mediate with your weapon, sense their crystal through the force.

sliding one foot back, dropping himself into a proper stance first. " first thing...open yourself up." raising his hands up and lowering them, in a sort of pushing out motion. " reach out. listen. if you start trying to fight without opening yourself up to the force, it's like...trying to fight without one of your senses."

" okay, so..." blinking when he looked next to him, expecting to see her standing there. eyebrows furrowing and looking over his shoulder, " are you...hiding behind me?" that's great, he thought. his first encounter with a nightsister and she was using him for cover. fighting the urge to roll his eyes, even if the temptation was strong. opting to close his eyes instead, letting out a breath and emptying himself of the force. only to breath in again and draw it back into him, focusing on it, listening. drawing his saber from his belt, igniting it to bring the violet blade hum to life.

letting the force guide his movements, raising his blade to deflect a few of the incoming blaster bolts, nothing he hadn't done more than a dozen times in training. sending a few of them back to the troopers, thinking of some ways to switch to a more offensive approach. the only problem being, he couldn't just abandon her to face the blasters on her own. " any thoughts here...or are you...gonna hide?"

thinking of how yoda tells lu*ke "your weapons, you will not need them." when he goes into the cave. then luke fights a va*der and kills him, only to discover that it's him inside then helmet.

then in rotj when luke wins the duel and cuts off vader's hand, he understands what yoda was telling him and the cave too. that he can't beat vader with his weapons without turning into va*der himself. only after luke throws his weapon away does he turn ana*kin back to the light
