TW: Drugs, Panic Attacks

So one of my biggest struggles since CF has really become a part of my life has been trying to cut back on smoking weed. I didn’t think it was that important until yesterday when I was smoking and I took in too much smoke and I had an asthma attack followed by a panic attack and coughed and tried to catch my breath for two hours. My boyfriend almost drove me to the hospital.

I guess what I’m trying to ask is if anyone has any advice on how to still get high safely with CF or how to deal with not being able to breathe (I took my inhaler, breathed in the cold air from the freezer, and steam from the kettle to no avail), hit me up?

hi, i realized i haven’t posted on here in a minute. i’ve been struggling a lot and self medicating with marijuana because i smoked it a lot before being diagnosed. it hurts my lungs a lot and i’m having trouble stopping but my partner is really supportive and i think i’ll be okay

My Medications! (12.03.19)

This is more so just to help me keep track, but also to let people know how many medications people with CF take. Please keep in mind that I am newly diagnosed, and most people with CF take many more medications than me.

Morning:

- Sertraline (150mg): antidepressant

- Symbicort (200mcg): inhaler for lungs

- Omnaris (50mcg): inhaler for sinuses

Evening:

- Novo-Ferrogluc (35mg): iron supplement

- Stmbicort (200mcg): inhaler for lungs
