MyBallroomLife.com (MBRL) is a website created by GMHC in support of the House and Ball Community (HBC) and the annual House of Latex Ball. The members of the site can read about the latest in ballroom, vogue, politics, culture, music, entertainment, video showcases, agency workshops, groups, community postings and ballroom discussions. In addition, the site also provides a resource guide and STI information page that provides viewers with a Directory on local clinics & shelters, community based organizations, and information on sexual transmitted infections including HIV/AIDS. The website offers a video blog (The Luna Show) that follows ballroom’s own the Legendary and Hall of Famer Luna Khan as he interviews HBC members on social issues and personal history. MyBallroomLife.com offers GMHC an innovative way to distribute social marketing campaigns such as their Community Promise Spotlight Stories which highlights personal testimonials from members of the HBC as well as I Love My Boo and Kiss and Tell campaigns.

Luna had the pleasure of having a conversation with Gerard H. Gaskin. He's an amazing photographer who has been photographing balls for the last 20 years. Finally his book, 'Legendary: Inside the Ballroom Scene' will be out later this year. About the photographer: Gerard H. Gaskin, a native of Trinidad and Tobago, earned a B.A. from Hunter College in 1994. As a freelance photographer based in Jersey City, New Jersey, his work has been widely published in such publications as the New York Times, Newsday, Black Enterprise, OneWorld, Teen People, Caribbean Beat, and DownBeat; other clientele include record companies Island, Sony, Def Jam, and Mercury.
His work has also been included in the books Committed to the Image: Contemporary Black Photographers (2001) and New York: A State of Mind (2000). Gaskin has received a New York Foundation for the Arts fellowship, a Center for Photography at Woodstock artist residency, and a Queens Council on the Arts Individual Artists Initiative Award.
Gaskin's photographs have been seen in solo and group exhibitions across the U.S. and abroad, including the Brooklyn Museum, Queens Museum of Art, and Black Magic Woman Festival in Amsterdam. His work is held in the permanent collections of the Museum of the City of New York and the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, among others. Gaskin's work was selected from two hundred entries in the sixth biennial First Book Prize competition.
