Concept for all you writers out there. Wolverines (the animal) naturally secrete a foul smelling oder from their anal glands when provoked or frightened, now imagine Logan comes home to live with Wade and he absolutely stinks. Like seriously, not even the fanciest of soaps keep the smell away for long. And then all of a sudden, one day after a few months of living together the smell suddenly goes away. Wade doesn’t know why but yippee I guess, no more stink, and then one day he does Google it to figure out what that smell was and realises the smell stopped because Logan finally felt fully comfortable living with Wade.

And maybe he makes fun of him a little bit or he never tells anyone and uses the smell to gauge Logan’s actual emotions.

A question that’s risen in my mind recently: can Logan ever get sick?

This came to my mind because well I’m a sucker for sickfic. A character in pain and then getting appropriate care and comfort to both heal and build stronger bonds with their loved ones? Perfect. But you can’t really write a sickfic for Logan, right? Well, maybe.

See in your stomach you have natural bacteria, the good kind. Gut flora is necessary for digestion and your health gut health overall. Logan of course has these, but they can be killed. Antibiotics. Of course they kill bacteria and can wipe out the average persons gut flora. Logan’s would likely be super strong, but if he was constantly pumped full of an incredibly potent one (i.e. Vancomycin 3.0 the strongest antibiotic there is) then it would theoretically overwhelm his body temporarily.

As seen when his adamantium skeleton was ripped out, under immense stress and damage his healing factor can be messed up, so it’s reasonable to suggest if he was captured in a form and tortured while having the steady stream of antibiotics the stress on his mind and body would fuck with his healing and wipe out his gut flora.

For the average person recovery from having their gut biome wrecked would be about one-two months, possible longer. So for Logan this would probably be about one week at most, but that still one week of sickness for a man who hasn’t really been sick since 1845, which would mess with him severely.

Basically yeah, he can get sick but of course as with everything Logan related he’d gotta suffer majorly to suffer more to recover.

I don’t think anyone cares about this or wants it but if any fic writers crave the angst of a sickfic with Logan but have believed he can’t get sick, I bring the answers. Of course you can always just say ‘fuck you he’s sick my fic my rules’, that works too.

It is absolutely insane to me that some people think Charles is this UwU cutie pie innocent sweetheart. Baby he had a kill count before he even got out the womb, Magneto took the adamantium from Logan and in response Charles mind-fucked him so hard he got put into a vegetative state and then became a whole new entity that was so powerful it took basically every single marvel hero to take him down, because he thought Logan was dead. Not to mention that he is terrifying, he could be in a bad mood and cause an extinction event in response.

But in all fairness he is a cutie pie and a sweetheart. I love him. But please, let him be the bad bitch he is meant to be.

My reasoning? I want a character to relate to. Plus all his favourite foods are processed foods which very commonly is the preferred safe foods of those with ARFID as they are near guaranteed to have a consistent taste and texture.

If film Logan is under two hundred when he dies but comics Logan is supposedly over two hundred just as a baseline then did the added height and thus added amount of adamantium lower his lifespan? Is being short an evolutionary advantage for Logan?

I can answer this too. Deadpool’s healing factor works different to Wolverines, unlike how Logan’s is constantly producing new healthy cells Wades just produces more and more cancer ridden cells. What does this mean for his aging? Basically, very very slow. See the exact same cells are being constantly produced over and over again, the same cancer ridden cells that are basically already dead so his body is aging incredibly incredibly slowly since his body kinda just keeps in one state.

My evidence to support this theory is that in a comic Wade is still alive after 800 years. 800. And we have seen him looking old multiple times so he is aging. I’ll admit his maths is much harder to do, largely due to the fact that we do not know his age. Like we don’t have a set age and birth date, unlike with Logan. Granted comics Logan is suggested to be over two hundred while in the films he’s under two hundred, but at least I have exact dates for film Logan, none for any Wade.

So Wade can live to 800, we know that. Could he live beyond that? Yes. I believe so. He lives to 800 while trapped in a fridge and constantly going through the cycle of starving and resurrection (which I don’t think even that killed him) so imagine if he was in a better situation? It’s possible he could live on, what’s the limit? Who knows! Could be a thousand!

So enjoy that fic writers, Wade is guaranteed to outlive not only Logan but ALL of his loved ones! (Unless it’s pheonix force Logan, whose just op lol)

Assuming in Deadpool & Wolverine Logan’s body is that of a 55 or near enough year old man and he has been alive 225 years (he says he’s over 200 years old and I’ve heard that he was 225 (and I’ve already done the math around that)) then that would mean Logan ages at a rate of 0.24% of a year for every one year that passes. Meaning he will be alive one year but his body will only age 0.24 years, so at 225 years his body will be that of a 54 year old man.

And if we were to assume that Logan will die between 86-96 (factors include: adamantium poisoning, smoking, alcohol and bodily damage that will stress his healing factor and thus make it hard to determine an exact death age) then Logan will live to around 350-400. He’s still got another 100 years at least assuming no unforeseen new threats arise such as the mutant gene suppressing/mutant killing foods present in Logan, which further stress his healing factor and would definitely lower his life span as seen in Logan.

I did not need to do this but it was 2 am I had a stomachache and so this happened.

Trans Logan is plausible. Like, physically.

I believe Logan’s appearance can and will be influenced by how he views himself, I base this on his beard.

Note in the above images the way that his beard grows, there’s a gap on his chin. And it’s not that his hair can’t grow there as in the film ‘The Wolverine’ and ‘Logan’ he clearly had a full beard, so why? Why does it grow like that?

My theory is that Logan’s appearance can be influenced by how he views himself, if Logan has preferred and gotten used to his mutton chops then he will regenerate in that style. In The Wolverine he views himself as an animal, he’s also depressed and doesn’t care about his appearance which is why he grows a full beard. And in Logan he feels old and grows a beard and grey hair to match that, plus his healing factor has been weakened so his hair is growing more ‘normal’ now as it doesn’t have any energy to spare on regenerating hair to be pretty.

This also explains why we don’t get Logan with very long hair, despite in the comic Weapon X in under an hour after being fully shaved he’d regrown all his hair and then some. So if his abilities are causing hair to grow so much so quickly then why after not cutting his hair for a while does it generally stop at his upper back? Because he doesn’t view himself with long hair.

So theoretically Logan could do the necessary surgeries to transition and through pure force of will it would stick as long as both his conscious and more importantly subconscious know and are sure he identifies as a male.

Love how Deadpool & Wolverine has caused a burst of interest in Logan. Especially how he’s a whore and gets passed around the mansion like a blunt, they’ve got a schedule for who has him what day. But now Wades cheated the system and he is the only person on the schedule.
