SOME MORE GAKUEN BABYSITTERS HEADCANON BECAUSE UGH!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hi! It's been a while since my last post 😢 But now I'm back with some more of my headcanons, but this time, they're gonna be about the series' teenagers, specifically the six first-years in Gakuen Babysitters!
This post is mainly gonna be about the six's choice of major at university, so about 4-5 years from the story's timeline. Please enjoy!
Ryuuichi majors in Psychology, and specializes in Child Psychology. He has a talent for understanding children's emotional expressions, and as someone (and a brother to) who had gone through a major tragedy, he wishes to help small children process the world, all the ups and downs, around them. Everyone thought that he would choose Elementary Education though.
Hayato double-majors in Physical Education and Human Biology, the former because he's Hayato, and the latter because he knows he's good at natural sciences, as inherited from his parents. In the university's baseball team, he is a player (because he's the ace), a coach (because he learns this stuff), and a manager (because he also studies Nutrition, Physiology, etc.)
Maria majors in Educational Administration. Everyone assumed this is because she likes order and rules, but as someone with excellent academics yet limited social skills, she wishes to help change the organization of education she grew up in, into one that helps students become more well-rounded individuals.
Yuki majors in Elementary Education, a little bit influenced by both Ryuuichi and Maria. Though more importantly, this has everything to do with her experience with the toddlers in the daycare, especially as she could see the way they grow up to become their individual selves.
Tomoya majors in Law (because he's a siscon). But really, apart from his decent academic skills, he has the charm and the charisma (and the looks) needed to be someone who convinces others for a living. From his childhood experience, he naturally turns towards cases of child neglect, among others, wishing to be someone who could be there to support these children.
Chuukichi majors in Computer Science. Firstly, because the career path often pays well, and he can find more intern opportunities to continue helping his family financially. For another thing, he hasn't forgotten his childhood wish to build a game, and he would want to achieve that dream, both for his sake, and for his siblings' faith in him as well.
This takes a little longer than I would have guessed, but here you go! Some of my headcanons about the first-years' university majors. Hope you enjoy reading all this, and please look forward to more!

“Because I have you, I can fly high.
Because I have you, I can step forward.
Someday, when we achieve this dream together,
I know we will be proud of who we are right now.”
“When my passion turned into something I dread,
or when things that should have been simple overwhelmed me,
I couldn’t show my face, and I shut myself out to run away.
But you didn’t give up on me, who had given up on myself.”
“Because I want to smile with you, I continued forward.
Because I want to be your worthy rival, I wiped my tears aside.
And someday, when all of this becomes the past,
as we look back, these memories will shine brightly.”
These are the lyrics to あなたがいる (Anata ga iru) - wacci, aka Bakuten!! ED. I swear to God, if Misato and Futaba don’t get together in the Bakuten!! Movie, I’m gonna riot.

Chapter 125: Learning Numbers with Kotarou and Kami-cha
While Ryuuichi is left in the classroom trying to tutor Usokawa on Math (and totally not Hayato escaping from doing the tutoring), Hayato goes ahead to the daycare room to watch over and play with the kids.
As the other kids (and Usaida) take their nap, Hayato notices Kotarou still awake holding a book, and so proceeds to read to him 😄

(Bonus) one overly proud Ryuu-niichan:

Hi! I’m back with some more headcanons about Gakuen Babysitters’ little kiddos (because they are quite literally the cutest babies ever) when they reach 1st-year high school. Remember this will be 13-ish years after the manga’s timeline. Hope you enjoy!
Of course, they all join the Babysitters’ Club. There’s a new full-time guy there, as well as new children (who I am gonna go into detail in a future post 😁)
Kirin joins the Drama Club, for obvious reasons. Kumatsuka-sensei still supervises the club, and she makes sure to shut off any rumors of favoritism by demanding even more from her daughter. Kirin fully understands this, and tries her best, sometimes to her own detriment. (That’s also a story for later) Between her academics and the extracurriculars, she’s just amazing.
Taka joins the Baseball Club, also for obvious reasons. He’s not the ace the way his brother was, but contrary to belief, he does not mind that too much. In between fights (which occurs no less), he still idolizes his brother, and tries his best to match him.
Takuma joins the Soccer Club. He’s nothing special, but he’s positive and highly sociable. That and his good-looking face taken after his father earn him the level of fangirls surpassing that of the legendary Yagi Tomoya, but he doesn’t even notice it.
Kazuma joins the Home Economics Club. He’s hardworking, soft, gentle, simply everything you would expect from a shoujo manga. That and his face (of course) also get him his own league of admirers, but unlike his twin, he actually knows he’s liked. Giving flustered rejections, sometimes multiple times a day, become part of his high school life.
Kotarou only joins the Babysitters’ Club. He takes care of people well, and his perceptiveness means that he can understand even the most stubborn toddlers. He’s not a convincing monster (at all) when playing Hero Rangers, but luckily Taka is often there to play the role. Out of all the games in the daycare room, his niche is still reading storybooks.
Kotarou keeps all of the old Teary Panda-chan books in good conditions in the daycare room. The books contains all the fond memories and happiness when the Kashima brothers found a second family at the daycare. And he would want the new children to feel that happiness as well.
This is also getting long already. I want to make something purely about clubs and all. Hope you guys enjoy this! I’ll also post about the high schoolers’ headcanons as well, so stay tuned!

These two are about to pull a Yuri!!! on Ice in the Bakuten!! Movie, I can feel it.
Sports anime: The two are the closest of friends, who help each other achieve their dreams and step forward.
The two guys in question: Well true, but we also have OFFICIAL Valentine’s couple merch.
Also, the lyrics to “Anata ga iru” by wacci (Bakuten!! ED) is amazing. 50% inspirational 50% full-on gay.

Hoshi no Aida has to be one of Centimillimental’s most underrated song. A perfect mixture of hope, devastation, and regret all in a song, accompanied by this amazing MV, this track deserves so much more. 😢
This is my translation of the chorus:
“So please wait for me there.
Across the sea of stars,
I’ll keep looking for you.
A pain forever I will hold on to.
So please wait for a little more,
Even when the fire of life withers,
I’ll always yearn for your eyes.
Till my last breath,
I will forever love you most.”
I relate this part so hard to Given’s Yuki and Mafuyu, specifically, what Yuki would have wanted to say to Mafuyu but never could.
Brb, I’m gonna go cry. Go give Centimillimental a listen, he’s seriously amazing!

I’m currently so obsessed with Gakuen Babysitters, and there are some headcanons I want to share with everyone! These are gonna be about the kiddos (except Midori because she’s a year younger) when they reach 1st-year high school (Realistically, 13-ish years after manga’s timeline) Hope you enjoy!
They all go to Morinomiya High School. (somewhat canon already? ref. chap 84)
Kirin studies in the advanced class (class A). She’s a hard worker and during Junior High, she asked Inomata-san for extra tutoring so she could (and actually did) get into class A. She has some academic expectations for herself because her mother had excellent scores and work ethics, but she’s still an outgoing student who gets along well with her classmates.
Kotarou and Taka, coincidentally, got placed into class C, just like their brothers. Kotarou’s seat is by the window, so once in a while he gets a little distracted in class. Taka’s seat is to Kotarou’s right, 1 table higher.
Originally, Kazuma also got placed into class C, while Takuma got placed into class B. Takuma’s cheery and sociable nature got him a number of friends also instantly, while Kazuma would generally seem fine as he has Kotarou and Taka around. Kazuma’s seat is right next to Kotarou, behind Taka.
Nothing would’ve happened until Kotarou, with his usual perceptiveness, noticed (several times) Kazuma going to class B, wanting to have lunch with him, only to turn around immediately when he saw his brother laughing, surrounded by his new friends.
(I’ll leave the rest of Takuma and Kazuma’s story for my next post >< )
In general, Kirin is a well-rounded top 10 student. Kotarou do well in liberal arts, language, and modern Japanese, while Taka is like his brother, though not as smart. Kazuma and Takuma are both upper average students.
Though Kotarou almost always seem out of it and sometimes actually get distracted by the scenery outside the window, in general, he’s an attentive student in class. His brother always tried his best and got good grades even when he had to take care of him, so Kotarou wants to follow in his footsteps and make his brother proud.
On the other hand, Taka would almost always give up when a lesson becomes too boring, except for in Chemistry. 13 years or not, Hebinara-sensei is still too scary.
I actually have a lot more but I guess this is getting long already. If you happen to enjoy this, thank you so much and I’ll try to post more. 💖
