since moving here ive noticed europeans have no concept of how few americans ever leave USA. every american tourist youve met is of an economic crust that is vastly unobtainable to the other like. 85% generously. no matter what you have believed i can guarantee this. even getting to canada isnt really a possibility and the mexico-US border is highly controlled and militarized.

to put it into perspective. a ~2 hour flight from london to warsaw is like. 30 to 45 USD?

and a 2 hour flight from one US city to another would be about 130 USD

it was very cheap to fly here. i make over 100k USD now and i dont know if ill ever be able to afford leaving. if that gives you an idea of how prohibitive travel is here. i havent even touched on how the US has Zero guaranteed holidays by the govt. many people here go years without ever having an entire week off of work

this has had a like. massive impact on American Brain and they dont even know it because travel isnt even a consideration economically. they dont even know how much more vacation time european countries have guaranteed

fucks me up that by total coincidence the sun and moon’s size difference is exactly matched to their difference in distance from us, thus making our beautiful total solar eclipses where you can see the silver threads of the sun’s corona possible because the moon just covers the sun completely

I would still use my turn signals in the Mad Max Wasteland. They'd call me "Signal" because I'd hit my blinker before ramming the enemy hot rods into the side of a desert ravine. I'd use my turn signal every time. They would respect me for this.

Also I took it out the window of a car going 100kph, so, uh, yeah.

Things I did in 2024 that I'm proud of!

1. I made a body horror zine with some very cool and talented friends! It's free! You can download it here!

2. I painted up three more of my Grinning Beast masks! 2/3 have gone on to find new homes, and number 3 can be yours… if you desire it…

3. I started making hand-made pins! I'd love to do more, they're really fun, and people really seemed to like them.

4. I participated in Art Fight for the first time! I did 11 whole attacks, which surpassed my original goal of 5. Let's do it again let's goooooo

5. I drew a lot! It was really nice!

6. I made a massive amount of progress on my owlk cosplay! Still a long way to go, but look how far it's come!

Other things I did this year that were cool:

was a corpse in a murder mystery play

visited Ireland

rolled credits on a dnd campaign as a player for the first time

played some video games that were absolute bangers (lorelei and the laser eyes, mouthwashing)

did my first cosplay photo shoot

started streaming again
