The man who found her is holding her hostage and refusing to take her to her vet for medical treatment. This Tumblr is to help get my cat back.

I am enraged. She went missing on March 3, 2018 and now a man has come forward claiming to have her. However, he refuses to return her to us. He also refuses to take her to her vet for medical treatment. He’s harassing us through an anonymous email address on Craigslist. This is all happening in Long Beach, California. Please reblog, share, talk about this, and help us get our baby back.

My cat Calypso has been missing since Saturday, March 3, 2018. She was last in my car, which was parked in a CVS parking lot (596 Long Beach Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90802.) She was in the car because my girlfriend and I just moved to California and we were heading to a hotel. We were gone for seven minutes and returned and she was gone. Now, a man who's maintaining an anonymous identity online has found her.. but he's refusing to give her back. He's refusing to take her to her vet for medical treatment. He's telling us he will give her to a new family. My girlfriend and I are artists who just moved to California to start a new life for ourselves with our small family of just the three of us -- she, myself and baby, Calypso. Then, this happens. We have to reunite with our baby. Some people view animals as lesser than or as inadequate, but Calypso is family. She is our child. No one should live in a society where snatching someone's child is okay; regardless of what skin that child wears. Please.. help us reunite with her. I will be posting the email conversation and his anonymized Craigslist email soon.

I've been posting flyers of my baby Calypso everywhere in downtown Long Beach, but at this point I believe she is being held hostage by a disgusting piece of filth who is also harassing my girlfriend and me over email. He's refusing to take my baby to her vet for her medications because according to him, "that place will be crawling with cops." His sociopathic ass wants to give Calypso away to a new family. He's emailing us through an anonymized Craigslist ad. We just want our child back. I'm so fucking heartbroken and disgusted.

Attention, California!

This is Calypso. My cat. She’s gone missing. She was last in my car in the parking lot of CVS Pharmacy on Long Beach Boulevard and E 6th Street in Long Beach, California. She was in my car for 7 minutes as I ran into CVS to get something. She was in my car because I was heading to a hotel, as I have just moved to California. She is a mostly white calico cat with orange and grey patches on my face and a dark grey tail. I’ve been receiving emails from a man online who is holding Calypso HOSTAGE and refusing to give her back to me. He’s REFUSING to take her to a vet for her medication and treatment sessions, because he’s paranoid about cops. He’s messaging me through Craigslist so his email is anonymized. He���s harassing me; he’s telling me he will give Calypso away to a new family because he wants her to have a good life. This man is a thief and I believe he may have stolen her from my car to begin with.
