»Vital Information for Your Everyday Muse!»
Tagged by: the-corrupted-cure
Icon of your muse: Dollmaker, go!
Tumblr media
What is your muse's blood type? With him being a Reploid, it's coolant, not blood, so he doesn't have a type.
How do you think your muse handles rejection? Not as well as Xander, which is to be expected, given that he's only over two years active, but he also won't dwell on it. He knows there are other matters that are more important, even before he takes his place as Xander's unknown replacement.
What makes your muse jealous? The freedom that everyone else in Beacon City has.
What's a bad habit your muse has? He tends to lose himself in his thoughts, and it often takes Ciel or Isaac physically touching him to snap him out of it.
A prized possession of your muse: Unbeknownst to his family, he's been keeping a daily journal since just a few weeks after his activation. For safety's sake, and because he does want something to call his own, the journal is saved in his own processor.
Any medical conditions? At present, no.
~Questions for the Muse to Answer~
What's your favorite color? "Light to medium grey and orange. I haven't quite settled on one."
What's your favorite food? "Say what you will about me considering that I'm growing up in the French district of Beacon City, but I may or may not have an unhealthy love for burritos."
Skiing or snowboarding? "Given the opportunity? Both."
Worst injury you've ever received? "None yet, and I hope to keep it that way."
Early riser or sleep in? "Sleep in for now, but I have a feeling I'll need to get used to early rising if I have to take over for Xander for any period of time."
Video games or books? "Books, though I occasionally pick up a game just because."
Something that makes you cry? "The directions my thoughts take when I get a little too introspective."
Someone you hate? Why? "It's not hate, but I am rather...displeased with Lieutenant commander Zero for commissioning me when his concern stemmed more from paranoia than anything solid. Then again, with Omega out there, maybe it wasn't so much paranoia as it was making sure I was active long enough to not be a true newbuilt if something came up."
Phobias: "Being found out as nothing more than a replica and destroyed for it."
Favorite soda? "I don't really like soda."
Favorite drink in general? "Tea. Preferably hot."
What did you have for breakfast? "Toast with a bit of berry preserves and two cups of tea."
Song you are listening to right now? "Earthshine by Rush."
Worst job ever? "The people who have to gather the manure from the livestock Gardens for use on the farming Gardens. Even if you turn off your olfactory sensors for that, the smell probably lingers."
Best job ever? "The Shadow Guard. I mean, c'mon, the covert protection of Beacon City's leaders, the stealth units so good at their job that you don't see them unless you've done something you shouldn't?"
Ever been thrown out a window? Why? "Why...would I have been thrown out a window? Isn't that generally detrimental to your health?"
Do you regret what you've done? "I haven't done anything to have regrets."
Any roommates? "My papa, Isaac, and my two older sisters, Ciel and Alouette."
~Choose Between~
Dogs, cats, or both? "Cats, I think. They seem less obtrusive."
C4 or dynamite? "I'm not familiar enough with either to make that judgment call."
Catchphrase or one-liners? "Catchphrases. It's sort of like your mark on something."
Day or night? "Night. Less people out and about, so I can hazard slipping out onto the balcony of our apartment and get a breath of fresh air, so to speak."
Star Wars or Star Trek? "I haven't watched either yet, but by the names, I think I'd be a bit more interested in Star Trek."
Cake or pie? "Ooh, pie. Definitely pie."
Zombies or vampires? "Vampires. They can only come out at night, so I can kind of sympathize."

Askbox Roulette!
Result: Hansha and Xavier; a confession
"You've been really quiet, Xander."
Hansha blinked as his gaze moved from his teacup to the bioroid sitting across from him. "Sorry," he replied, one hand coming up, his fingertips brushing over the bridge of his nose. "A lot on my mind," though the exact nature of what was bothering the unit likely wasn't what Xavier would have expected.
"Should I...just go?"
"No!" and the exclamation was more because Hansha hadn't expected the other to want to leave so soon after arriving. "No," he repeated a moment later, calmer this time. "I shouldn't be dwelling on other matters when I have company."
Xavier nodded at that, his thumbs running along the lip of his own mug, and a somewhat strained silence fell over them. When the bioroid broke this second wave of quiet, his voice was far softer and just the slightest bit tremulous. "I'm sorry."
"You've nothing to--"
"Not this. I mean...for...for what happened with Omega."
It didn't take long for Hansha to understand where the conversation had (somehow) gone, and he shook his head. "I'm not the person you should be apologizing to," and from what he'd gathered of the events, Xavier had no real need to apologize to anyone.
"Xander, this is your City, your haven for everyone after the Elf Wars, and I--"
Hansha held up one hand to silence the older unit, shaking his head as a heavy, too-tired sigh escaped him. "I...It's going to come to light at some point, maybe soon, maybe once we figure how to fix things and get everything back to normal..."
The Reploid wasn't sure why he was confiding in the young bioroid. Perhaps it was just his own foolishness, too young to truly know better, or maybe he saw it as making sure the truth wasn't hitting everyone like a train out of nowhere.
"Xander, what...?"
A slight shake of his head. "Xander Light only to those who need to think I am who I was built to look like. My real name is Hansha Amiot."
The stunned, wide-eyed silence that followed had been expected and yet was somehow more oppressive.
It was a long while before Xavier finally managed out, "What?"
"Half a year ago, Sage was able to track and capture Cora. She was supposedto be brought back under guard of the Rekku, but...Xander had a different plan in mind. Something went wrong in his plan to heal her, and he's been...indisposed since. I was activated about nine or ten months before Omega's assault on the City, commissioned by Lieutenant Commander Zero as a body double in the event that Commander Light did something stupid to address the issue with Omega." Instead, Xander had attempted to heal Cora using his own defenses and had landed himself in a coma, and Omega was still somewhere out there in Beacon City. "I'm barely past eighteen months active right now."

"Askbox Roulette!"
Result: Sakura and Hansha; Hansha chained to a wall
"Not exactly your proudest moment, ey, Commander?"
Hansha glanced up, his systems still coming online after an unexpected (and wholly unwelcome) blackout, and there was nothing but confusion in his gaze as he looked to see who had spoken to him. Vocal recognition came up empty, and he was halfway through a visual ID scan before he realized that he had no connection to the City Extranet.
"What do you want with me?"
Sakura grinned. "Well, a few things. Mostly answers. Some...let's call it emotional conflict resolution. Nothing big, though, not in the grand scheme of things and your position in the City."
"And you think you're just going to get away with kidnapping the Commander of Beacon City?"
"Oh, don't be so serious, Xander. Really, given your son's pranks, this is small cookies, no big deal." Grabbing a chair from a nearby desk--had the shackles been a spur-of-the-moment addition to the room, Hansha wondered--she settled in the seat, crossing one leg over the other before leaning forward, moving just a touch closer to him.
It took all of the young Reploid's self-control not to recoil, not to flinch back and away from her.
More than a few things about his behavior had registered as off to her, the younger Fiore twin idly wondering if it had anything to do with the scramble dart that had offlined the android.
Well, those questions could be asked later. "I've got a few hypotheticals to throw at you."
"We could have discussed response theory over tea like normal people," Hansha fired back, just a touch of annoyance eking into his voice.
He earned a shrug in response. "I have a feeling that you'd have cut my visit short had this exchange happened on your terms, Commander Light. Now, to the matter at hand..."
Hansha wasn't sure if he more wanted to just get away from this stranger, given the way that she'd just grinned at him, or if he wanted to punch that smug grin right off her face.
"How do you feel about love, Xander?"

"With the announcements going on this morning...I think I finally understand why the Cardinal Guardian was so set on having me built."
A long silence.
"I hope Commander Light doesn't do something stupid."

¿: a random fact.
“Whenever I get the all-clear from Lieutenant Commander Zero that I can go ahead with alterations to my physical appearance, I’m having Papá do a full switch of my hair. I want mine longer than how Commander Light wears his, and I’m going to either get the new threading black or having my nanites recolor the fibers.”

¿: a random fact.
“While I may have been built as a perfect replica of Commander Light, my personality data has nothing to do with his, so while I know that there will be things I have to learn how to do should I be needed to fill in for him, I’m not him in that sense.” The newbuilt smirked. “That said, I’m no real fan of the color blue.”

((Though I haven't seen too much of Hansha yet, but it's seriously interesting to see a portrayal of a Copy X as a newbuilt that needs to stay hidden so as to not spoil the surprise - and one so different from the one in your fic. Though I can't comment too much as you haven't really played him proper on Tumblr, I do look forward to interacting with him when he's finally out and about~.))
(("Thank you for the compliments, and I'm actually quite glad that Mids opted to show me for the way she truly envisioned me, rather than that...tyrant using the face he wears to bend the world to the whims of--"))
[[Hansha, dear, don't spoil the surprise. There's still more of Redemption that needs to be written.]]
(("Sorry. Anyway, thanks again! And I do look forward to interacting with everyone once...well, once I'm able to come out of hiding."))

Would you rather have to remain a secret and be in the topmost position in the world eventually, or would you rather be able to have the freedom to make your own choices in life and be an ordinary civilian?
He stiffened at her question, honest fear in the newbuilt's eyes, and he was seemingly rooted in place as he stared at her. Just how had she known about that part of why he had been built?
"I'd..." and he fell silent as Isaac moved into the room, likely roused from his light sleep by Hansha's sound of dissent at the Greyface's presence.
"Hansha, into the other room." As a safety precaution, given the nature of the City's security and the probability--Isaac would argue eventuality--of Greyfaces moving about too close to the Amiot residence, Zero had helped them build an interference device that would ensure Hansha wouldn't register to security scans without actually registering as a false read to the officers.
The Reploid considered the Greyface for a moment longer before answering, "I'd want my life to be my own, to be myself rather than a figurehead, as--" and he swatting Isaac's hand away as the human tried to pull him away. "I don't want to be a double of the Commander, but if it comes down to it and I'm needed for this City to remain strong, to make sure my family is safe, then I will sacrifice the name I was born with to be who I was made to be." With that, he turned and moved for the smallest of the three bedrooms and, from there, into the closet that served as his shelter.
"You," Isaac said, pointing to the Greyface, "are going to stay here until the authorities arrive, and you are going to say nothing of why you came here, and then you will leave with them. Are we clear?"

(anti honesty) What do you think of Beacon City?
“It’s a hornet’s nest of lies and delusions, a fancy little cage to keep the humans complacent. And I think it’s broken, from the ruling Council all the way down to the way everyone is so willing to just accept that it is what it is.” A smirk that’s all wrong graces the newbuilt’s face. “All I have to do now is wait until our precious Commander is…taken out of commission before I can move in and fix things. And I’m certain the Cardinal Guardian will see to it that I am not questioned. After all, am I not Commander Light?”

The newbuilt leaned back in his chair, careful to avoid leaning too far back and tipping over (again). “As true as that may be, Counselor, I sincerely doubt that it’ll be overtly relevant, given who I’m around on a regular basis. If you are so set on getting an answer…I do suppose that it would be dependent on the nature of their attraction, given that it’s not always physical attraction that people deal with.”
“Matters of the Heart”
32. Is it possible that two people who are attracted to each other can be “just friends”?
"I’m sorry, but my professional focus is on law and governance, not relationship counseling."

"Matters of the heart"
34. Have you ever gone out with someone just because you couldn’t say no?
"Not that I'm old enough to even consider something like that, I could only wish," and Hansha gestured to the room around him. "Welcome to my entire world."
