The best deconstructions come from pure contempt and hatred for both the genre and audience both. The greatest examples of this are funny games and don Quixote.

Funny games (1997) is basically spends it's whole time saying the horror genre is fucking stupid and horror fans are moronic degenerates sickos.

It does this by deliberately doing things just to fuck with the audience and piss off horror fans, showing why tropes in horror movies are completely idiotic, and giving one of the biggest middle fingers in movie history with that remote scene. Despite this it has higher reviews then most horror movies that have come out in the last 3 decades since its been out

Don Quixote does the same thing but this with not only knight tales but the whole concept of chivalric romances and escapism. No where is it better shown then don Quixote himself (who is meant to be the every fan of chivalric romances). The whole book is literally dedicated to show how much Don Quixote is a pathetic worthless dumbass, by constantly belittling, embarrassing, and constantly having him get his ass kicked at every turn just to show you how much of a loser he is (and therefore the audience), and finishes off by having the biggest go fuck yourselves endings to anyone who wanted a happy ending, and yet it is the most famous non religious books ever made.

If this doesn’t prove that hatred and contempt is how the best deconstructions are made I don’t know what will

Honestly when people say their art needs to get "more weird" they usually mean that as in "less commercial/less broadly appealing" and I think the answer to this is not to insert artificial Quirky Weird Style Stuff into it I think you just need to get uncomfortably earnest. What's the thing you really want to draw but feel shy about putting the effort into because it'd be too sincere an admission. You need to draw that. I want to see it
