Portrait practice x2. First (left) is more my habit of relying on line and an under-drawing. Second is just blocked in values. The second one didn’t even take as much time but it certainly looks better even if it’s not my normal m.o.

Just a few drawings I didn’t delete upon completion - actual gesture drawings of cats and not just trying to conjure an adulterated idea of one from memory. Let’s see how these look in a couple weeks. I love cats more than I love life itself, but I never really sat myself down and learned how to draw them properly.

Someone posted a beautiful photo of their rescue, so I referenced it for some Copic practice and did it no justice. I’ll probably try again. I need more dark colors…
