Every time I see Santi on my TV I get mad 😭 Honda really switched mechanics and stuck Mir with him (I know why it happened and Joan wanted the change) but still… just imagine the chaos, the looks, the questions. We were robbed of a whole week of fun gossip.

I think what’s frustrating about Pecco this season is that, yes, a lot of the mistakes are on him, but the bike hasn’t exactly been on his side either. The whole vibe around the team felt off at the beginning of the season for his side , and then you have races where he finally finds pace, finally runs up front, and suddenly the bike fails and he has to retire like today. Of course he looks desperate how could he not? It would drain anyone’s mental health.

I don’t believe he’s ‘bad,’ because he’s not. We’ve seen moments of brilliance when he’s allowed to ride like himself instead of being reduced to a shell that bends to what the bike demands to nos crash. It suck cause there’s being moments where th Pecco I miss, shows up the one that makes racing exciting by pulling some agresivo moves or random passings, the one that’s actually capable of pushing Marc into a real fight. And that’s what’s missing this year: without a competitive Pecco, the season feels flat, almost dull.

There’s some other riders Bezz who shows flashes too, but Aprilia isn’t fully there yet. So it all feels like watching someone we know is capable of so much more slowly get pulled under by circumstance, bad luck, and pressure. It’s not that he’s not enough it’s that the situation doesn’t let him be who he really is on the track.
