Omari AU Hero’s Theme Concept

I originally wanted to answer this with some Hero vs Mari sketches, but I couldn't find the time to actually draw it so have this instead! It's under the cut

Hero's voice was hoarse and downright exhausted. While it was not a strange occurrence, the fact that he didn't bother putting up a front told Mari that this was his breaking point. The weight of hiding the truth of what happened 4 years ago, combined with having to support her as well as other things had finally taken their toll on him.

And here he was, standing in front of the giant window in his and his brother's shared bedroom, clutching around an ice pick. Mari didn't know when and how he got an ice pick, but its sharpness didn't go unnoticed.

Mari wondered, what kind of face was Hero making right now?

"If only we had called the ambulance…if only I didn't suggest that…that horrible and messed up thing…I wonder…"

Blotched, red eyes full of tears greeted her as Hero turned. His eyes were blown very wide, almost manic yet desperate at the same time.

Mari took a step back.

"...I wonder if I'd be free from this guilt…? From…SOMETHING…"

The already dark room darkened. Mari could see black tendrils slowly closing into them, getting into her personal spaces. Stealing oxygen from her lungs.

She tried to run, but Something blocked her way; its always closed, crying eye seemed to judge her as she jumped back in surprise. Closer towards Hero, who had somehow stood behind her, a desperate glint in his eyes.

The ice pick glinted under the moonlight.

"Mari…you won't leave me, will you?"

Ah.

Mari wondered what kind of face was she making right now?

Hmm, I'm still pretty new to a lot of stuffs, seeing that it's been only a month since I joined this fandom. I know there are tons of amazing Omori AU out there and I can't wait to consume them all ndvjdbsbd

To answer your question, I think as for now, it's the classic OMARI AU--I love seeing everyone's takes in this scenario!

Omari AU Hikki’s Theme Concept

Oooh this is interesting! There is this apprehension in the song and it makes you feel like you're being judged (by who? who knows!). This could prolly work for Yama/Hikki and Mari fight.

yes yes, a lot of people already do this bUT I WANT TO JUMP INTO THE BANDWAGON TOO LOL

OMARI AU except Mari is not a shut-in and goes to college with Hero. She still has Whitespace and Headspace, but it's not as dreamy and complex as Sunny's (I think Mari is not as creative as Sunny when it comes to this stuff)

Anyways, I'm torn between Mari and Hero covering up Sunny's death exactly as canon and Mari and Hero burying Sunny instead--so he's declared "missing" instead of, y'know?

also J know a lot of people named whitespace Mari as Hikki or Hikkiko (bc hey, it's HikkikOmori!), but imagine: Mari naming her alter as the name of sunny's violin brand (i'm thinking of Yama from Yamaha WHEEEZE)

dont get me started on her wep. At one hand i like the idea of Mari using jump rope as a whip but i also like the idea of Mari bonking her enemies with a giant-ass shovel--

need to think about this a lot more but yeah, might draw some sketches in the future bc I dont have the energy to actually write this stuff

kinda related to the last post but I've been thinking about Hanahaki!AU in Tales of Vesperia setting lately.

"What if Yuri got Hanahaki after leaving the Knights? How would the story play out?"

I've already laid out the details and written down some stuffs--just need a little more smoothing and I need to play the game again so I won't miss anything. But yeah in this AU around 5% or so people in Terca Lumireis can have Hanahaki. And hey! Because surgeries for blastia heart exists then in this world surgeries for hanahaki also exists.

It's a onesided Flynn x Yuri (Fluri) story, definitely. I love this pairing so much, so ofc I have to slap some tasty a n g s t ✨ to it.

Gonna post the 1st chapter to AO3 as soon as I'm finished with the first arc; right now I'm writing the scene in Heliord. Idk if any of you will be interested tho, so I guess we'll wait and see?
