This was in my mind for 3 days for now and I finally got my lazy ass to share it: What if soap was in a gang like friend group before he went to the military?
Imagine that. Soap having 5 friends all so fucking simular to the 141. Looks and everything except the scars. And EVERYONE can see it except soap and his previous friend group. They are all still friends. They called themselves 'all for everyone' or A.F.E. for short and were like a second family to soap. They still are.
When soap first enrolled in his school at 5th grade he instantly became best friends with 5 kids that were here before him. All of them were 5th graders like him except the 6th grader that looks a lot like price but doesn't really have the iconic beard that price has. That's the cousin of the 5th grader that looks like gaz only a little darker with longer braided hair.
The already formed gang 'adopted' soap and he became their baby brother. They went on all sorts of adventures and did a shit ton of mischief mostly to the shitty teachers. They even had a hang out spot in the woods close to town where they would play all day. They did everything together.
They feel comfortable enough with eachother to let the other friends do dumb shit like slap their ass for a joke, kiss them on the forehead or the cheek (you gotta kiss the homies goodnight) and they never felt weird about it. They even got permission from soap to call him Johnny or John. That's how tight they were together.
3 of them smoked while the other 3 didn't. The smokers were the ghost copycat, the price copycat and the gaz copycat. The others didn't smoke because they didn't want to. That was fine with the others. He has a groupchat with all 6 of them and they rented eachother often.
They were a family to Soap when his didn't give a shit about him.
So when he gets a call from the Alejandro copycat calls him when he's on break one night and tells him that him and the Rudy copycat are getting married and that he's invited to be the one to walk the Alejandro copycat down the aisle he's fucking extatic. He asks if he can bring a couple of friends from 141 to the wedding and the Alejandro copycat agrees.
Soap goes to price, Ghost and gaz while looking more giddy and exited than usual. When he's asked what he's so exited about, gaz buts in while looking at price asking if they had a new package of c4s delivered and soap tells him straight on why he's so giddy.
When soap is finished gaz just looks shocked, price just looks amused and ghost is just confused. Price asks where soap is going with this and soap just tells them straight on.
"Would ye' lads come with me to my friends wedding on leave?" While giving the best puppy dog eyes he can muster. (Ghost swears he didn't get a nose bleed and turn into a tomato under the mask but all of them would like differ)
Price consideres it for a little.
Before he could say anything soap says that there would be a designated smoking spot, a food buffet and that they would meet soaps friends that were like a family to him before he met the 141 or joined the army. And that it was very important for him to go there because he would be the one walking the Alejandro clone down the aisle (he does have a name, I just haven't come up with it yet)
Gaz is intrigued because he wants to know who was soaps bestfriend and brother in crime before him (and also the food because he's broke as shit and became sick of the food on base) so he said yes without hesitant and looked at price pleading with his puppy eyes.
Price was intrigued by the designated smoking spot and he couldn't say no to someone who wanted to make their friends happy (he thought of the possibility of showing lawswell pictures of the wedding and bragging that he was more liked by the boys than lawswell) so he said yes and asked when the wedding will be.
Ghost wasn't really thrilled but was curious about soaps friends and cmon he could not say no to Soaps puppy eyes. (Soap did confirm that he could wear a simple balaclava but not the full on skull mask which was fine by ghost.) Also he didn't want to be left alone on base the entire time. Who would he talk to late at night if neither Soap, price or ga where there? He also said yes hesitantly.
Soap had said that the wedding wasn't until 2 weeks so they would have a bachelors party for the Alejandro clone in the first week. And the wedding would be on the second week. So off they were to Glasgow. They would stay at soaps house till the wedding was over. Price did the paperwork to get them all on leave for 2 weeks.
Ghost wasn't really thrilled, he downright hated going on leave but he kept saying to himself that, it's going to be okay, it was only going to be for 2 weeks and that nothing would be bad. He had soap price and gaz with him. And soap also mentioned that his friends respect boundaries.
Imagine their shock when they get introduced to the whole friend group by soap.
That's all I could probably make it into a series. If you guys want.

quick ghostsoap roommates au. idea word vomit
soap has always known ghost to be a bit odd, what with his comings and goings at strange hours, the weird abundance of money, the paranoia of a doomsday prepper, the mask(s)… the list goes on, really. but soap knows he has his own oddities and so long as ghost is decent company and pays his half of the rent on time, there isn’t much of a reason to be bothered
what soap hadn’t known about his roommate, however, is that ghost is a contract killer. a hitman. his roommate assassinates people for money and soap has been living with him for years and had no idea—but somehow, finding out isn’t nearly the worst thing that’s happened to him
no—the worst thing is that it’s after he discovers ghost’s real profession (when simon had said he’s a “contractor” upon move-in, in what world should soap assume that to mean the highly illegal, killing people sense?) that soap realizes he’s developed feelings for ghost

Alt. Happy Ending / Main Sad Ending
tw- past character death, starvation, memory loss
Due to popular demand, an alternate Happy ending has been made becuase of your delicious tears.
Unedited.
It's been a few months since Ghost last visited Soaps grave.
They moved out of the base they were staying during Soaps funeral and traveled back to the mainland.
The taskforce was back into business and things were hectic, missions being assigned left and right and most were back to back without any rest.
It was only when things were beginning to settle down did they make plans for their leave. Ghost opted to go back to Scotland to visit Soap and Price volunteered to go with to watch over the sprout.
When they touched down, Ghost separated from Price to visit the cemetery as Price secured their lodgings.
On his way, Ghost looked around for flowers to give to Soap. He managed to find a bush with Forget-me-not'. His eyes began to tear up and he tugged one off from it's stem.
When he finally arrived to Soap's burial site. He noticed the ground was more dirt than the luscious green grass that surrounded the headstone.
Ghost huffed furiously at the thought of someone messing with Johnny's grave.
He stalked closer to the headstone and noticed the grass was pulled, some with the roots tossed Con the ground and holes littered the ground because of it.
Then he saw it.
A mound on the ground.
He broke into a sprint and stopped right before the mound and looked into the hole in it.
Empty.
Ghost's hope shot up. Johnny might be alive!
He circled the mound, noticing how dry the dirt was. Which meant he must've sprouted recently.
Ghost tilted his head towards the side of the headstone when he heard rustling and sounds of grass crinkling.
He hurried to the side and looked over to the back of the headstone.
First thing Ghost noticed was the greenery, It was bright and plentiful unlike the front.
Second was the Sprout sitting on the ground. Clothes dirty and stained, and torn at the edges. Their kilt was in the same state, and their feet bare from shoes and socks. Hair rested at their chin, matted and ungroomed, knotted and torn short in some places, and shone oily.
The flower that sprouted from their head was red and white that border the edges, a Chrysanthemum.
It was Johnny.
The flower in Ghost's hand dropped in disbelief and tentatively called out to him.
"Johnny?"
Soap stopped what he was doing and his head turned to Ghost with a questioningly grunt.
Ghost's heart dropped at the sight of him. Johnny didn't look like a fresh sprout at all.
His cheeks were sunken in, skin dirty and littered with bruises and cuts, eyes were dull and not a lick of remembrance when he looked at Ghost.
Worst of all he was munching on grass.
Johnny must've sprouted after he left. He was alone and with no one to help him. The grass by the front of the grave had been eaten up and he didn't bother venturing away from his grave.
Without proper food and company, Soap hadn't grown properly. Because of this Soap was boney and no memories of his past.
Ghost shook his head to bring himself back to the present.
Soap was still staring at him confused.
Ghost raised his hands in a mock surrender and slowly moved towards him.
Soap just tilted his head to the side. Ghosts heart ached at that. Soap didn't even have the instinct of being wary of others.
Ghost slowly sat next to Soap and tried to tug out whats left of the grass out of Soaps mouth.
Soap whine and his eyes teared up but quickly grew happy again when peanuts were shoved into his mouth instead. His teeth had some trouble adjusting to the hard texture but ultimately enjoyed the crunch.
Ghost tossed out the chewed up grass and turned back to Soap.
Soap was leaning up to Ghost on his knees with his mouth open and eyes wide and sparkling.
Ghost smiled under his mask and began to feed Soap peanuts one by one to try and buy some time for Price to arrive.
30 minutes had passed and Ghost ran out of snacks for Soap to feed on and resorted to the petals on the flower he had brought.
"Ghost?"
Ghost got up and dragged Soap up with him and around the grave.
"Price! Price!" Said person turn and looked down at them.
Price's jaw dropped at the sight of the other sprout.
"S-Soap?!" He said disbelieving and got onto his hands and knees to get a better look.
Ghost nodded and Soap curiously looked at the newcomer.
"I think Johnny sprouted after we left"
Price's brows furrowed and his lips pursed in guilt as his eyes watered.
He flipped his hand palm up so the two can climb on. He pulled them up and moved them towards his chest in a mock hug.
"Im sorry for leaving you here all alone Soap."
Soap just smiled hugged him as if he understood.
Ghost tugged on Price's thumb. "Lets go back and bring Johnny back to health! He'll regain his memory if we take care of him properly"
Price let out a sad laugh. "Yeah... lets bring you back home Soap, I know Gaz will be happy to have you back."
Soap chriped happily, a fuzzy feeling settled in his chest. He didn't know them but he knew to trust them. Like how he trusted his instincts on staying put by his grave and wait. It brought him people who gave him this fuzzy feeling he wanted to keep chasing after.

As you can see I ran out of steam at the ending, had no idea how to continue lmao.

tw-character death
Saw cute sprout!ghost, then saw animatic. very cute. Soon ANGST.
Unedited
When Ghost first awoken, he noticed his pot wasn't in Soap's room but in an office.
Ghost grumbled as he tried to wiggle himself free. The soil was dry, it hadn't been watered in awhile.
Where's Johnny? He promised he would stay with him until he came back. Ghost wanted his sergeant to be the first thing he saw not an empty office.
But Ghost understood why he wasn't here. He didn't blame him, just a tad disappointed. They were soldiers that could've been pulled at any minute.
Ghost hopped off from his pot and shaked himself like a dog to get rid of the excess dirt that clung onto him.
He looked around and sat on the edge of the desk and waited for someone to come in.
Sure enough, Price opened the door a few minutes later.
"Price!"
The captain tensed and his head shot up, only relaxing when he sees the sprout waving at him.
Ghost lowered his arms and went quiet when he saw the captain.
Price's eyes were swollen and bloodshot, like he was crying. Looked like he had lost alot of sleep too from his eyebags.
Did something happen while he was out of commissison?
"Price whats wrong? Where's Johnny?"
Price tensed as he pursed his lips together in thought. He slowly shut his door and slowly walked towards Ghost.
Soon enough his knees hit the floor and his hands flew to hover over Ghost.
"Simon..."
Uh-oh thats not a good sign
"Soap..." Ghost's hands grabbed onto Prices pointer fingers to help ground him. Unknownly his hands were tightly gripping Prices fingers and trembling in nervousness.
"He's gone Simon" Price gasped out as sobs racked his body and he let his head thump onto the edge of the desk.
Ghost started to panic and grab onto the hair that hid under Price's hat. "Who's gone Price?!" He tugged onto the hairs.
Price seemly ignored him. "It was a mission gone wrong. Intel was wrong and they were ambused. At most their injuries weren't too servere but it came at a price."
"Price..."
"Soap..." Price's voice started to fail him as his crying robbed him of his breath.
"He's dead Simon." He finally managed to rasp out.
Ghost tugged harshly on the hairs in his grip. "NO! I dont believe you! Show me!"
Ghost let go of Prices hair as his head moved to look at him.
Suddenly they were at Soap's grave. Ghost couldn't tell when they had even left, the news had left him in a daze and now he was staring at a headstone with a name that he never wanted to see on it.
If Ghost could come back, then so could Soap.
He would return the grave the next day with a water can and a shovel that were his size and wait.
He waited for a sprout to grow from the dirt. Just in case, Ghost watered the dirt around the bural site to see if it would help.
But nothing happened, and that continued on over the week.
He was optimistic when grass started to grow around the headstone.
He continued to be hopeful when grass started to grow.
In his excitement, he even roped a pot and began to drag it daily to the grave for if Soap were to finally sprout he can quickly take him back to the base.
But as time passed, and the grass has continued to grow. No sprout was in sight.
It's been more than a month and any sprouts would been up and grown into a seedling by now.
The sun was setting and the night began to creep up. Ghost whimpered. "Johnny...?"
"You promised you would stay with me Johnny, so why aren't you here right now?" Tears began to leak from his eyes.
"Ghost..." Ghost turned to Price who was standing behind him.
"You can't keep doing this, this isn't healthy."
"But! But he can still come back, I did so why can't he?"
Price shook his head. "I wish that could happen too, but even if it did, he would be here right now."
"NO! Just a little more time. We just need to be patience with Johnny like we always have." Ghost argued.
"Simon..." Price bent down and reached for him.
Ghost made no move to fight him as his hand closed around his body and lifted him up.
"Soaps gone. He's not growing Simon." Price said.
Ghost looked back at the grave, eyes darting around the greenery searching for something. His gaze turned back to Price when he didn't find what he was looking for.
He deflated in his hand, head hanging low and tears started to stream and damp his skin.
"He's really gone isn't he." Voice low and thick with sorrow.
Price nodded sadly and moved to put him close to chest.
Ghost whimpered. "I didn't even get to tell him goodbye. Didn't get to even tell Johnny that I loved him."
Price let out a shuttering sigh as he craddled and comforted his distraught lieutenant. "I know son... I know..."

Honeypot!Soap
posted this on my twitter and completely forgot about Tumblr 〒▽〒
Thought of it, then saw a poly!141 tweet and just couldn't stop my thoughts for running ever more wild.
Soap was put into intelligence and did Intel gathering mainly espionage/honey traps. Seducing people for Intel or hits then extracting himself out. He was originally pushed towards this because of his natural charisma and was trained to further hone it.
Soap didn't like doing it despite being damn good at it. But he had unknowingly signed a contract and while it took time but he managed to claw his way back to the 22-Regiment and then enter canon stuff.
If he were to become a honey trap or any other sort of Intel gathering again, you can definitely count on Ghost being jealous. Gripping his rifle so hard and struggling not to put a bullet into the person/target for flirting or touching Soap while he's on look out.
Note: Sorry if it looks abit wonky, I can't anatomy lmao
Keep read for close ups
#soapghost#ghostsoap#john soap mactavish#simon ghost riley#god has anyone thought of this yet????#I have IDEAS for this as a fic#like I srsly love my ideas for this au#Its a slow kinda like thing I want#might draw it but it'll be spoilers if I ever do somehow write it and im a terrible writer#and I don't want that lmao

IDEA/STORY THING IDK
Soap is a retired knight. He was gravely injured while protecting a village from feral vampires. For his service he was given land with a grand villa where he could live the rest of his days. He is also courted by many noble women (and even approached by some notable noblemen) but he rejects everyone because all of those who court him want to use him in some way. He grows restless living his life as a nobleman when all he wanted to do was fight for his kingdom and make his family proud.
But because of his lame leg he can’t fight the way he used to. He can’t ride horses properly or for long periods before his leg starts to hurt to the point it feels like he’s being stabbed again. He reads but reading adventures makes him long for the past. Romances make him lonely and reminds him that he may never find love, true love and not someone pretending to love him. He settles on mysteries for a bit but he grows bored with the very dull life he is now stuck in.
But reading was his only escape. That is it was until he discovered his love for art. One evening while his sister was visiting she took note of some doodles he made in his journal and told him that they were very good. This sparked Soap into getting into drawing and painting. After some art lessons from a renowned artist that lived in the heart of the kingdom Soap was soon on his way to becoming just as famous. His artworks became highly desired because of his skill and because he is a hero who risked his life for others.
Soon he had hundreds of commissions. Some ranging from portraits to bringing to life someone’s idea. But he was especially praised for his portraits and how he managed to capture someone’s best qualities. Soap would get to travel all over the kingdom, no longer stuck in his villa. Depending on how well someone paid him, Soap may stay for several days to perfect his work and make them absolutely perfect.
He became comfortable enough that he could pick and choose which commissions he would accept. But after word spread of the vampire threat growing more and more severe, the roads became unsafe for travel. And no one was going to risk coming to Soap’s villa to get themselves painted. So, once more, he was stuck in his home. Stuck hearing about the honorable knights and soldiers fighting the vampires.
Then the fight came to his home. Vampires attacked his villa and everyone was trapped in the main dining hall. They were doomed, crying and praying to their gods, when a knight appeared. Alone this man killed over twenty vampires. Those who saw him fight swore he was faster and stronger than any man that has ever lived. Soap, struggling with his mixed feelings about this man, (From this man living his dream and saving his life) offers to paint the man to thank him. Though to some it was such a horrible trade (saving someone’s life and in return you getting a painting) but the mysterious knight agreed. They come to an agreement that Soap would paint a series of different things for the knight and in return the knight would protect Soap’s land and the people who lived on it from the vampires.
His first painting for the night was one of his horse. It was a beautiful blue roan with a white blaze down his face. Soap asked the knight him he was interested in breeding him but the knight said no and left. The second painting was of his war-dog. A mutt that had some wolf in him. He was very intimidating and Soap struggled to stay in the same room with him. But the knight found great amusement in this. The third painting was done in a meadow on his land. The knight’s horse grazing and the war-dog running about.
As Soap painted more and more paintings for the knight, he found himself slowly falling for the man. A man whose name he didn’t know. A man whose face he had never seen. But their several conversations and jokes made up for that. Soap found himself completing each painting at a rate slowly than the one before. He was afraid that each one could be the last and the knight would leave and he would never see him again.
One evening Soap was finishing a painting of the knight’s sword when he finally asked if he could paint him. The knight rejected it so quickly and coldly that Soap feared that he would leave immediately. But he didn’t. He went on patrols around Soap’s land, giving him the idea for the paintings he wanted before leaving. He made himself scarce and it hurt Soap. He would long for the knight to return, for him to talk to him and laugh with him. Soap feared he had ruined his relationship with the knight.
But then the knight came to him one evening. It was very late and the sun was barely peaked above the horizon. The knight asked him if he still wanted to paint him. Soap agreed eagerly and set up his studio. Soap primed the canvas and turned to the knight. The knight, with shaking hands, reached up and took off his helmet. Soap found himself unable to react or think.
Pale skin. Red eyes.
The noble knight who he had fallen for was a vampire.
#amazing#but what if he was the same vampire that fucked up his leg#jkjkjk but srsly tho this is amazing

Oh my god, then Soap would never let them groom him ever again, if they try to he’d bite them. He would get all panicky and zoom to the nearest clean body of water to wipe off the slop and clean himself the best he can. Then proceed to hide from them and ignore any attempt of apology until he fully dries off.
@natelia-aldelliz had a werewolf au thing and it wouldn’t leave my head. So I drew them. Note, I’ve never drawn animals before and have 0 idea how to draw them.
Here Soap is a Scottish Fold and Ghost is a Northwestern Wolf because its the biggest one around.
I also have this hc that when they’re wolfs they can’t tell that Soap is a cat and not a puppy. Soap gets annoyed when they ruined his well groomed coat, will only be appeased with kisses and food or groom his coat for him. This is also where this drawing came to me.
