Green eyes shouldn’t actually be considered an eye color. It’s just not common enough, it’s a VERY SMALL percentage of the population, 1-2%. Green eyes are also caused by an irregular mutation. Most people have blue or brown eyes, so those are the two eye colors.
All the “green eyes” positivity is actually a bad thing, by the way. Having green eyes is linked to higher rates of retinal melanoma. You’re celebrating something dangerous that can cause suffering.
And besides, most people with “green eyes” lean closer to blue or brown anyways. They should just make up their minds and be brown eyed or blue eyed. And if it’s too hard to tell, they should get corrective surgery (because green eyes are dangerous, and associated with more difficult medical care!) or at the least wear contacts so they don’t confuse people. But also they should be required to
I hate to sound like this, but green eyes are a far more recent development than blue eyes in the mutagenic history of humans. So humans weren’t created to have green eyes.
And hazel eyes? Those are just a variant of brown eyes—come on, they’re far closer to brown than green. They just have a couple greenish traits. And there’s no way there’s that many green eyed people, or a wide variety of eye colors… It’s just not natural.
I don’t have a problem with green eyed people, they didn’t ask to be born that way—but there’s just too few of them for it to be an actual eye color. We don’t need all this “green eye positivity” or putting green eyes in media. The internet is making people delude themselves into thinking it’s more common than it really is.
‼️ THIS POST IS ABOUT THE TREATMENT OF INTERSEX PEOPLE ‼️
✅ I HAVE GREEN EYES THIS IS SATIRE ✅
⚠️ PLEASE DON’T SEND ME ANY MORE THREATS OF VIOLENCE IN DEFENSE OF PEOPLE WITH GREEN EYES?? ⚠️
💧 THIS POST IS NOT ABOUT EYE COLOR?? IT’S ABOUT INTERSEXISM AND BIGOTRY 💧

Little church of St George in Kyparissia. I couldn't get closer because of the fence you see, but it's built directly on top of a temple to Apollo, which happened a lot here (Churches being built right on top of old temples). Around the church you can still see pieces of the temple. Some have been used to build it. The entire area around is an archaeological site that's not dug up properly but there were lots of ceramics workshops, signs of fishermen activity and other merchants and stuff. Our field is like 3 minutes away by foot, and there's ancient buildings in the ground here too. Not dug up, but if they give me a shovel I can fix that /j

This is a march during the military parade in Thessaloniki, which took place yesterday during the celebrations for the Greek National Day.
Why am I posting this?
Because here are the lyrics, composed by the students of the Military School in Thessaloniki.
“You were young, so very young,
twenty one, and beautiful
like an angel in a painting.
But you were lost in an instant
on these rails where other souls
were also gone.
And you now from high above,
you are on watch for all of us.
This is why I won’t forget you,
Claudia, I love you.”
The students of the High Military School of Thessaloniki composed this march in the memory of their colleague Claudia Lata, who was killed in the Tempi train tragedy, for which the Greek people are still asking for justice two years later and the government is hiding from its huge responsibility. It might as well be the first time the army chants a march with implications against the interests of the central government, at least since I remember myself.

on march 15th, the largest protest in serbia’s history took place in belgrade, with some estimates ranging between 800,000 and 1,000,000 people on the streets.
serbian students have been protesting since november of last year, following the collapse of the novi sad train station canopy and the subsequent attacks on students who were paying respects to the victims. universities across serbia have been shut down for more than four months, yet the students' demands remain unmet.
students and their supporters are facing intense pressure and repression—masked thugs are attacking protesters, personal information is being leaked in pro-government media, and teachers who have been on strike for months have received a salary of just around 2000 dinars (about 17 euros). on the day of the march 15th protest, authorities allegedly used a sonic weapon against the crowd.
state-controlled media is ramping up its propaganda, openly targeting the rector of the university of belgrade and protesters alike—most recently, with a bizarre film that ends in a guillotine.
so much has happened that it’s impossible to cover everything in one post. for further info, i recommend checking out the following links:

Once you start thinking about humans as a species in a biome, it affects your entire way of looking at normal things.
The other day I referred to female morning joggers as an 'indicator species' in that if you see women jogging in the dark it means that the environment provides migration pathways (sidewalks, clear signs) and doesn't have any known predators of female morning joggers (guy with knife, bear, BigTruck, male morning joggers).
Though, I think that people consider framing humans as animals reacting to their environment as rude.

I just know that the dudes who make those "girls get 500 compliments a day vs. guy gets one compliment once and cherishes it for the rest of his life" memes put zero effort into their appearance. Like what exactly do you expect people to say? Wow nice plain ill-fitting hoodie, goes great with your basic-ass blue jeans and nondescript haircut. Got some real cool Grey Man vibes going on, you could seamlessly blend into any crowd ever without being seen at all.
Like nobody has any obligation to look any certain way, but you can't expect to be praised for doing something you're not even trying to do. I dress like I got tarred and feathered in a Tim Burton film costume department discard scrap pile, and someone saying they like my style is a biweekly occurrence.

Hey you all know about that fungus that possesses ants to make them climb on the tip of grass blades in hopes of getting eaten by a cow, so that the fungus can continue its life cycle in the cow's guts? Because I think that's the kind of thing that's wrong with cave divers.
We don't know what's down there. We don't know what's gotten into their heads that makes them so determined to physically, personally go down there to find out. But I wouldn't entirely dismiss the possibility that whatever has gotten into them is very invested in getting eaten by whatever is down there.
