Song Picks of the Week
Stockholm Syndrome - One Direction
If there is one song on the new One Direction album that should become one of their singles, it is definitely "Stockholm Syndrome." With a rock vibe and a sound like no other song I had before, in my opinion, this has the potential to trump their past hits of "What Makes You Beautiful" and "Best Song Ever." As they are in their transition away from pop, this song is a perfect way to show that they are growing as a group.
Bad Thing - Kiesza feat. Joey Bada$$
I was wary of Kiesza as I was not a huge fan of "Hideaway" but as I listened to some of her other songs, I was wrong. She has such a unique sound and in minutes her songs were stuck in my head. This one in particular, "Bad Thing," has a hip-hop feel that is an awesome sound for her voice. I call this one as her next hit.
Wrapped Up - Olly Murs feat. Travie McCoy
Olly Murs broke through the US music scene with "Heart Skips a Beat" and "Troublemaker" but he has kind of faded since then. His song "Wrapped Up" with Gym Class Hero's Travie McCoy seems like Olly's way of saying "America, I am back." With a sort of Michael Jackson meets Usher and Justin Timberlake vibe, Olly Murs' song is bound to be played on the radio soon.

Song Picks of the Week
Iggy SZN - Iggy Azalea
Iggy released a new song this week and the internet went crazy. With her single "Black Widow" at its peak, a new song was the cherry on top for all of Iggy's fans. Just like all of her other songs, this song is on point.
Guts Over Fear - Eminem feat. Sia
With Eminem's raw voice and Sia's smooth vocals, this song is a win-win. Eminem is a complete pro at what he does and brings newcomer Sia into the mix, making a song that is destined to be a hit.
I'm Not The Only One - Sam Smith
Sam Smith is a genius when it comes to making soothing and relaxing music. His voice and the music are a perfect combination that, like his hit "Stay With Me," makes an amazing song that will never get old.

Song Picks of the Week
Style - Taylor Swift
With the release of Taylor's new album, the music scene has been shaken up (in a very good way). Personally, there are only a few songs off of "1989" that I like, one off them being "Style." This song still has a bit of the old Taylor Swift in it but with some new style.
Ready to Run - One Direction
With the anticipation of One Direction's new album "FOUR" coming out in only a few days, the band decided to release a few songs early with a preorder (this song being one of them). The song "Ready to Run" has a similar vibe to their hit "Story Of My Life" but is a refreshing sound for the band. I am waiting for this one to be their next hit.
The Heart Wants What It Wants - Selena Gomez
Making somewhat of a comeback, Selena Gomez did it strongly with this new song. I was never a huge fan of hers but this song has me hooked. Not only is it super emotional and seems so genuine, but it is totally unique to her style. I love it!

Song Picks Of The Week
Sledgehammer - Fifth Harmony
Fifth Harmony is owning the girl group scene right now. With their last single "Bo$$" as a hit, they were bound for success with their next single "Sledgehammer." I seriously cannot get this song out of my head, it's so catchy.
Froot - Marina and the Diamonds
After a long hiatus, Marina and the Diamonds is back. Marina and the Diamonds came back with the song "Froot," which pays homage to the older music, but has a new and improved vibe to it also.
Lips Are Movin - Meghan Trainor
Meghan Trainor is just blowing up in the music industry right now. After her "All About That Bass" song literally went viral, she has become a sensation. Her new song "Lips Are Movin" has the same sass as her previous single but with some extra flare. It's pretty awesome.

Song Picks Of The Week
Life Of The Party - Shawn Mendes
What fascinates me so much about Shawn Mendes is not only his pure talent, but also the start to his career. He became famous through Vine, a social media app that allows you to post 6-second videos. Shawn's talent has grown so much since he first started and this song definitely proves it.
Baby Don't Lie - Gwen Stefani
Gwen Stefani is back and is putting a different spin on her music. I like to say that this song has sort of a Lady Gaga vibe to it, but it is still unique to Gwen. Without a doubt, this song will bring her back into the spotlight once again.
Outside (feat. Ellie Goulding) - Calvin Harris
The combination of Ellie Goulding and Calvin Harris is bound to make magic happen. With her unique voice and his seriously awesome music, this song will soon be playing all over the radios and at parties.

Song Picks Of The Week
Out Of The Woods - Taylor Swift
With Taylor Swift's newest album coming out in only a few weeks, Taylor released a new song to tease her fans. This song has a completely different sound for her, as she wrote it with The Bleachers and Fun. member Jack Antonoff. Not only is the song crazy different and catchy, but it is apparently about Taylor's ex (surprise) and One Direction member, Harry Styles.
Good Girls - 5 Seconds of Summer
This Australian band is coming into its own with their music video for their latest single "Good Girls." Bringing back the sound of our middle school and high school alternative phase, this band knows how to rock out. Their songs will be stuck in your head within minutes of listening to them.
Wild (feat. Big Sean) - Jessie J
I believe that Jessie J is the most underrated pop star today (I honestly do not understand why she is not more popular). Jessie J has the most insane vocals and catchy songs and I have to say I am one of her biggest fans. With one listen, you will be too.

Song Picks Of The Week
Jealous - Nick Jonas
To all the Jonas Brothers fans, there's a little light at the end of the tunnel. Although without his two older brothers, Nick Jonas' new single "Jealous" is awesome. Nick has already proved to anyone who doubted that he could be successful on his own that they were wrong. Take a listen!
Ugly Heart - G.R.L.
Girl groups are slowly making their comeback, and G.R.L. is at the top of it. The girl group that consists of members from all over the world have put a new spin on the typical girl group style. While the song is super catchy and easy to listen to, it has a hip and funky twist that I have never really heard before.
The City - The 1975
The 1975 has slowly been taking over my iTunes library. Not only am I a huge fan of British music, but the band has some interesting tunes. One of my favorites is "The City" because of its unique vibe and sound!

Song Picks Of The Week
Yellow Flicker Beat - Lorde
A new Lorde song was all her fans needed and this one definitely hit the mark. Not only is the song super fitting for Lorde's style, but it sounds like the perfect song for The Hunger Games movies.
Steal My Girl - One Direction
With a new album coming out soon, One Direction released their first single "Steal My Girl." This song is incredible, as it gives off more of an indie vibe than a boy band vibe which is the direction that these guys should go in. Although controversy has surrounded this song because the beginning sounds similar to Journey's "Faithfully," it is an amazing transition song for the group.
L.A.LOVE - Fergie
I never thought I would see the day when Fergie made a come back, but that day has officially arrived. Forget "London Bridge" and "Fergalicious," Fergie is back and better than ever before. I'm just waiting for this song to be the next hot single all over the radio.

Song Picks Of The Week
Elastic Heart - Sia (feat. The Weeknd and Diplo)
The music for The Hunger Games movies has always been on point and it just got better with the addition of Sia's song "Elastic Heart." Not only does it fit with the movie so well, but the song itself is absolutely amazing. What makes it even more amazing is that it features new, yet popular artists like The Weeknd and DJ Diplo.
Brooklyn Baby - Lana Del Rey
Lana Del Rey has always been a favorite of mine. This summer, her second album "Ultraviolence" was released and we were graced with a multitude of new and incredible songs. One of my favorites is "Brooklyn Baby," because it gives off a different vibe than any of her old songs.
Up We Go - Lights
I found out about Lights a while ago when her song was featured on the television show Degrassi, but she just came back into my mind lately and I had to see if she released any new music. Her new song "Up We Go" is definitely one of my new favorite songs. It is super upbeat and a mood booster. Be sure to give it a listen!
