Given that Brienne is only 3 when Jaime kills Aerys, I don't think Tywin would wait until she's old enough before insisting that Jaime marries someone else (from maybe a more influential house)

(that's actually what I might plan for one of my newest WIPs: after a few years going around the 7K - with Galladon, who Jaime has saved from drowning and taken in as a page/squire - he returns to the Rock and takes his place as heir, and marries the lady Tywin wants him to marry)

Let's say Jaime gets kicked out of the guard after killing Aerys II. He becomes heir again, based on the books. I've seen a lot of fanfics about Jaime and Brienne having an arranged marriage, but I doubt that would happen in the books canon. What I'd like to know is if it does happen, for what reasons?

i'm not really keen on arranged marriage aus so i'm probably not the best person for this one, sorry!
