This is why I created a list of the best compressor plugins for rap vocals. The goal of this list is to help you eliminate guesswork.
I want you to be able to choose a vocal compressor with confidence every time you’re mixing.

Is It Hard To Learn How To Mix Music
In today’s tutorial we look at a common question asked by music producers, which is; is it hard to learn how to mix music?
Back then it was hard to learn the art of mixing because there was no Youtube, communities, blogs, etc.
All we had were magazines (which came once a month) and forums. Forums are where you would learn a thing or 2 if there was no fight because a lot of people used to argue which just caused confusion.
Another way to learn was to be an intern at a local recording studio, grow into an assistant for the engineer(s), and then finally learn how to mix.

Here are my vocal parallel compression secrets that I use to make vocals sound big, wide, and full in a mix.
I also reveal some hidden techniques that will help you compress poorly recorded vocals without exposing the imperfections of the recording.
This can help you get a bad recording to cut through the mix.
Also, don’t think that parallel compression is good for drums or bass only.
Most frequently parallel compression on a vocal is used to solve problems. In some cases just to add attitude, warmth, and character to the vocals.
