Daughter Accepts Posthumous Hollywood Walk of Fame Star on Behalf of Ray Liotta
Ray Liotta, the legendary actor who died in May 2022 at the age of 67, was posthumously awarded the 2,749th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday.
Liotta was widely known for his iconic acting in films like Goodfellas, Field of Dreams, and Hannibal.
Liotta’s family members, including his daughter Karsen, who accepted the honor on her father’s behalf, were present when the star was unveiled. Elizabeth Banks and Taron Egerton, two well-known Liotta collaborators, were also present to celebrate the actor’s contribution to the movie business.
Despite the rain and chilly weather in Los Angeles, Karsen cheered the audience up with his humorous comments. She remembered her father and expressed her gratitude to her father’s fans and staff who continue to look up to her.
The event was inspiring as Liotta’s fans and peers remembered the late actor’s extraordinary talent and contributions to the entertainment industry. Hill was considered one of his most important roles.
“Thank you so much, Dad, for this rain,” Karsen joked on a wet and frigid Los Angeles day prior to reading a letter from Goodfellas filmmaker Martin Scorsese commemorating Liotta’s performance in the movie and his talents as an actor.
Scorsese praised Liotta’s acting skills in his letter and praised his outstanding performance in Goodfellas, which earned him critical acclaim and made him a well-known actor in Hollywood.
Liotta’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame commemorates his legacy as an actor and the impact he had on the film industry. His performances continue to inspire aspiring actors and entertain audiences around the world.
Friends Pay Respects
Afterward, Karsen offered her own honors, stating, “I’m so touched to be accepting this honor on behalf of my dad. I couldn’t be more proud of him. He was a one-of-a-kind actor and the best friend, brother, and father anyone could have asked for. I lucked out with you.”
She ended, “If you have a Ray in your life, you’re lucky. I love you so much. Thank you for your work and the imprint you left on me and all of those who love you. Everyone deserves a Ray in their life.”
Liotta’s posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was not only a moment of remembrance for the actor, but a way for his peers to reflect on their time with him.

‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ Star Jack Davenport Keen to Reprise Role in Potential Norrington Reboot
Jack Davenport, who is best known for playing Commodore Norrington in the Pirates of the Caribbean series, recently stated that he would be interested in participating in a Norrington spin-off.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly and his co-stars at SCAD TVfest in Atlanta, Davenport commented on the potential spin-off and that supporting characters from Marvel and Star Wars are getting their own Disney+ shows.
He joked that a Norrington reboot is unlikely, but called Pirates producer Jerry Bruckheimer and said he was ready to reprise his role and be a part of it. rice field.
“A snowball in hell has a stronger chance of survival than the Commodore Norrington reboot, but sure,” Davenport said with a chuckle.
Giving a shout out to Pirates producer Jerry Bruckheimer, he added, “Jerry, if you’re watching, which I know you’re not, I’m there. Yes, you can put me back in brigade, I’ll do it.”
There’s a chance that Commodore Norrington, played by Jack Davenport, could make a comeback in a potential Pirates of the Caribbean spin-off despite the fact that it may seem far-fetched given the way that superhero and sci-fi franchises have brought back dead characters.
Despite the fact that Norrington met his demise in the franchise’s third film, Pirates of the Caribbean: World’s End fans are familiar with the fact that revivals are not uncommon in this type of genre.
Helping Out
By siding with Elizabeth Swann and helping her escape from jail, Norrington ultimately brought about his own death and brought Stellan Skarsgrd’s Bootstrap Bill Turner into the picture. It’s unclear how a potential resurrection would be explained because the spin-off is still speculative, but in the world of Pirates, it’s not impossible.
As the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise navigates uncharted waters without its former leading man, Johnny Depp, new avenues are being explored to continue the successful franchise.
Plans for a sixth installment were halted amidst the actor’s legal disputes with ex-wife Amber Heard, and a new all-female installment with Margot Robbie was also scrapped.
However, the idea of a Disney+ series featuring a beloved character, such as Commodore Norrington played by Jack Davenport, could prove to be an enticing opportunity for fans of the franchise.
With the streaming platform being home to various spin-offs and expansions of popular franchises, a Norrington-centered series could satisfy the thirst for adventure that audiences have come to expect from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
As discussions and plans for the future of the franchise continue, a new series could potentially provide a fresh take on the beloved world of Pirates of the Caribbean.

Norrington Contribution
Commodore James Norrington is a beloved character from the popular Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise. Played by British actor Jack Davenport, Norrington was a recurring character in the first three films, and his role was crucial to the storylines of each installment.
Norrington was introduced in the first film, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, as the commander of the British Royal Navy’s Port Royal outpost in Jamaica.
He is tasked with capturing the film’s main protagonist, Captain Jack Sparrow, played by Johnny Depp. Norrington is portrayed as a noble and honorable character, determined to uphold the law and bring criminals to justice.
However, his steadfast adherence to the rules and his sense of duty sometimes put him at odds with his own moral compass.
As the franchise progresses, Norrington’s character arc becomes more complex. In the second film, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, he is stripped of his commission and dishonorably discharged from the navy after a failed mission.
Norrington’s descent into alcoholism and his subsequent attempts to redeem himself play a significant role in the film’s plot...Read More

Disney CEO Bob Iger Announces Development of Iconic Franchise Follow-Ups
Fans of beloved characters Elsa, Buzz Lightyear and Judy Hopps can rest easy knowing they haven’t seen the last of them. Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed that the studio is currently developing new sequels for the Frozen, Toy Story and Zootopia franchises.
This move by Disney is not unexpected, as all three franchises have proven to be huge commercial and cultural hits.
With the original film’s over $1 billion worldwide box office haul, a sequel that also set records, a hit Broadway musical, and a ton of merchandise and theme park attractions, the Frozen franchise has become a cultural phenomenon.
Meanwhile, Toy Story has been an integral part of the Disney/Pixar brand for decades, with sequels like Toy Story 3 and 4 each grossing over $1 billion in theaters.
Although Zootopia has yet to receive a sequel, the first film was a huge hit, grossing $1.025 billion worldwide and inspired a Disney+ spin-off series. This just shows the timeless charm and popularity of these beloved characters.
Disney made a wise choice to keep these franchises going because audiences have shown a lot of affection and love for these characters and their stories.
The company’s commitment to these franchises is a testament to its ability to create timeless and enduring stories that capture the hearts of audiences around the world.
Prime Movies
Disney has enjoyed great success with franchises such as Frozen, Toy Story, and Zootopia, but not all animation ventures have been successful.
The studio’s most recent release, Strange World, only earned $74 million at the global box office, a far cry from the billion-dollar success of other Disney films.
However, it’s worth noting that some of Disney’s original animated movies have performed better on streaming platforms than in theaters. Encanto is a prime example, earning $257 million at the box office before becoming a hit on Disney+.
This trend highlights the shift in consumer behavior towards streaming, and Disney’s ability to adapt and find success through different avenues.
The recent investor call with Disney CEO Bob Iger also revealed that the company will be cutting 7,000 jobs as part of its effort to find $5.5 billion in savings.
Despite this, Iger also announced plans to bring James Cameron’s Avatar to Disneyland in Anaheim, California. The new attraction, details of which have yet to be revealed, is expected to be similar to the popular Pandora attraction in Walt Disney World in Orlando.
Overall, while Disney’s recent original animated ventures may not have performed as well as its franchises, the company is still poised for success with its plans for new sequels for Frozen, Toy Story, and Zootopia, as well as its continued presence in the theme park and streaming space.
With a track record of adaptation and innovation, Disney is sure to remain a leader in the entertainment industry for years to come.
Fans can expect more information about these new sequels soon, but for now, they can rest assured knowing that the adventures of Elsa, Buzz Lightyear, and Judy Hopps are far from over.
Get ready to join them on new and exciting journeys, as we haven’t seen the last of these beloved characters just yet...Read More

Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel Reveals Production Fails in ‘Shotgun Wedding’
Shotgun Wedding, the upcoming film starring Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel, is said to be an exciting and action-packed romantic comedy.
In a recent interview with BuzzFeed Celeb, Lopez revealed how one of the film’s stunts went wrong when she nearly fell off a cliff.
As the film’s main actors, Lopez and Duhamel have demonstrated their commitment to their parts by pulling off numerous stunts on their own, including one in which they were handcuffed together.
This, combined with the high-stakes nature of the film’s storyline, made for an exciting and intense shooting experience for the actors.
In Shotgun Wedding, Lopez plays bride and groom Darcy, whom Tom, played by Duhamel, is about to marry in a wedding in the Dominican Republic.
However, the couple soon discovers that they are being held hostage in the middle of their own ceremony, creating a risky and exciting situation. The movie, which Jason Moore is directing, will debut in the summer of 2023.
Despite tight conditions during filming, Lopez and Duhamel continued to complete scenes and joked about the experience to ease tension on set.
The film promises to be a heartbreaking and hilarious ride for audiences, and a testament to the incredible talent and dedication of Lopez and Duhamel.
Dress That Caused the Incident
“Except for the one time I almost went over the cliff,” she added. “That wasn’t fun.”
Her admission surprised her co-stars, who right away wanted more details about the incident.
“So, you know how in that scene where my dress was caught on the wheel?” she stated. “One time it got caught in the wheel, and I was going over, and I’m looking at Josh. I’m like, ‘Josh, Don’t let me go, please!'”
As per Lopez, Duhamel was steadfast until the conclusion.
“He’s like, ‘I got you! You go, we go!'” she recounted, leaning over and embracing Duhamel as she chuckled.
During production, Lopez’s wedding dress became entangled in a golf cart tire, which she described as “scary as f—.” The scene is featured in the movie’s trailer and can be seen by viewers on Prime Video.
Duhamel also had a close call while filming, with a separate “near-death experience” during the making of Shotgun Wedding. The actor was caught in massive 30-foot waves while relaxing in a small cove and was saved by some coral, which left him scratched and battered. Despite the close calls, both Lopez and Duhamel were thankfully unharmed and able to bring the film to life.
Shotgun Wedding is available for streaming on Prime Video and offers a thrilling ride for audiences. Fans of Lopez and Duhamel can watch the pair’s latest film and see them discuss the stunt in the clip above.
In conclusion, Shotgun Wedding is a must-watch for fans of action and comedy. Despite some close calls during production, Lopez and Duhamel brought the film to life and delivered a memorable performance. The film is now available for streaming on Prime Video...Read More

‘Abbott Elementary’ and ‘The Dropout’ Win Big at 28th Annual Critics Choice Awards
The 28th annual Critics Choice Awards, hosted by Chelsea Handler, aired live Sunday on The CW and gave a peek into the awards season as it unfolds.
Hosted by the Critics Choice Association, the Critics Choice Awards aim to recognize the best in film and television each year and can boost several awards campaigns leading up to the Oscars.
As the evening wore on, Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans and A24’s Everything Everywhere All at Once were closely followed with 11 and 14 nominations each in the category of motion pictures.
In the television category, ABC’s hit comedy Abbott Elementary received six nominations and the final season of Better Call Saul received five nominations.
At the awards ceremony, Everything Everywhere won the top awards of the night: Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor (Ke Huy Quan), Best Director (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert), Best Original Screenplay, Received Best Editing Award.
Best Drama Series, Best Actor in a Drama Series for Bob Odenkirk, and Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for Giancarlo Esposito were all wins for Better Call Saul at the television awards.
Abbott Elementary and The Dropout won two awards each, with Abbott Elementary winning Sheryl Lee Ralph Awards for Best Comedy Series and Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, and Amanda Seyfried winning Best Limited Series and Best for The Dropout.
John Goodman presented Jeff Bridges with the Lifetime Achievement Award, while Kate Hudson presented fellow Glass Onion member Janelle Monae with the Sheehar Award.
TV Critics Votes
Since their debut in 2011, the Critics’ Choice Awards have grown to be among the most esteemed honors in television. The awards are distinctive in that television critics and journalists cast their votes, not industry insiders or the general public.
This allows for a more diverse range of voices and perspectives to be represented in the selection of winners.
One of the most notable aspects of the Critics’ Choice Awards is the wide range of categories that are recognized. Awards are given for performances in both drama and comedy series, as well as for miniseries and made-for-TV movies.
There are also categories for individual performances, such as best actor and actress, as well as awards for writing, directing, and production.
The Critics’ Choice Awards have also been praised for their inclusion of streaming and cable television shows, which have increasingly become a major part of the television landscape in recent years. This has helped to ensure that the awards are representative of the most current and innovative trends in television.
It’s worth noting that the Critics Choice Association and the Academy, which votes on the Oscars, don’t share membership, so while the Critics Choice Awards winners may align with eventual Oscar winners, they are not a guaranteed predictor of the Academy’s choices.
The Critics Choice Awards provide a valuable opportunity for films, television shows, and actors to gain recognition and momentum in the competitive awards season. The complete list of winners can be found on the Critics Choice Association’s website and below.

Golden Globe Awards: Inclusion and Diversity Take Center Stage
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) organizes the Golden Globe Awards, an annual ceremony that recognizes excellence in film and television.
The ceremony was held for the 80th time in its history, but this year’s edition was particularly noteworthy because of the racial exclusion scandals that have plagued the organization in recent times.
No one in the 87 members of the HFPA was Black, which led to widespread criticism and calls for reform in 2021, according to a Los Angeles Times report.
As a result of the scandal, several high-profile individuals and organizations, including actor Tom Cruise, returned the Golden Globe Awards, and NBC, the network that traditionally aired the ceremony, decided not to air the ceremony in 2021.
Following the scandal, the HFPA has pledged to take steps to promote inclusion within the organization.
These included efforts to recruit a more diverse group of members and increase transparency regarding the organization’s finances and governance. The association also pledged to increase funding for scholarships and grants to minority groups.
Many in the industry have called for more to be done to address the underlying problems with race and representation in Hollywood while the HFPA’s reform efforts are still ongoing.
Some have called for a complete overhaul of the awards ceremony, arguing that the Golden Globes lack credibility due to the HFPA’s controversial history...Read More

Gender-Identified Award Categories And Its Effects On The LGBTQIA+ Community: Emma Corrin
It’s the 21st century and Emma Corrin wants the award categories to reflect that.
Notably, Corrin identifies as non-binary and uses the pronouns they/them.
As such, the actor said in a BBC interview that they “hope for a future” where award shows are seen as normal gender-neutral categories.
Furthermore, this year, Corrin received nominations for their filmsMy PolicemanandLady Chatterley’s Lover. But they ultimately won a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Television Series for their portrayal of Princess Diana in 2021’sThe Crown.
Nonetheless, during that period, Corrin agreed to use pronouns she/her.
But as times modernize, many film and television awards are slowly moving away from gender-specific categories.
So, since 2017, the MTV Movie & TV Awards have looked at non-gender categories. Additionally, the Film Independent Spirit Awards announced in August that they would establish gender-neutral categories for their 2023 nominations.
Additionally, the change will involve a move from the previously identified male and female categories to Best Supporting Performance, Best Leading Performance, and Best Breakthrough Performance.
As a result, more and more award shows are turning to gender-neutral shows. These include the British Independent Film Awards, the Gotham Film & Media Institute and the Berlin Film Festival.
Corrin LGBTQIA+ Sentiment
Additionally, according to Corrin, they believe that not addressing category titles first contributes in part to the limited representation of LGBTQIA+ in the film and television industry.
“The conversation needs to be about having more representation in the material itself. In the content that we are seeing for nonbinary people, for queer people, for trans people. Because then I think that will change a lot,” they stated.
“When those parts come up, meaning more people and more actors are playing those roles. Then I think there will be more of an urgency with which these questions will be addressed.”
Notably, Corrin came out of the closet as nonbinary in July 2021. And they posted a picture of themselves sporting a chest binder. Their decision is partially because “it was a journey that was at the very center of who I am, who I was when I started talking about it.”
Additionally, they reiterated that they would “never sacrifice integrity or honesty” by placing a façade on their gender identity in an attempt to bag future projects….Read More

Cameron reveals DiCaprio almost lost the 'Titanic' role
