sometimes it really gets to me how rarely Indian people are represented in media, especially South Indian people.

and we’re so used to the lack of representation that we’ll take anything we can get, even extreme stereotypes like Raj from Big Bang Theory and Ravi from Jesse.

it’s so disheartening too how we’re not even included as “asians” in slang but in all forms of identification, “asian” is what we check off, despite asians consisting of more people numerically than every other box put together.

indians are 20% of the population, i just get so upset at all the little kids that grow up with internalized racism because they never appear in any media and consider their ancestral lands useless or irrelevant. and for the indian-americans who never see themselves *anywhere* (like me) who always have to empathize with many Disney princesses from a variety of beautiful cultures that are also not their own in a bittersweet way.

we have culture millions of years old, we have so many mathematical and scientific advancements, we have many different languages and religions; I just want more people worldwide to see that! we aren’t a minority dudes, India is literally the most populated country in the world.

that got a bit ranty but I do love my culture and I want to share it as they share their culture with me, I don’t want the sharing to be one-sided

OBJECTION! Art of the first Ace Attorney game because my friend finally finished it! For some reason, my headcanon is that they're in LA in the country of Japanifornia & Phoenix is half-Japanese half-Hispanic/Indian (I can’t decide because on one hand I want Indian-American representation and he is portrayed as pretty tan by both the fandom and the canon, and on the other hand I think a grand total of 5 Indian people live in LA 💀), Gumshoe is Hispanic, Maya and Mia are Japanese and Edgeworth is European (British, perhaps? To create some more distinction between the von Karmas being from German/Japanese origins) I also spent a while on Gumshoe's expression of admiration for Edgeworth because I'm halfway through AAI1 and wow, I love their dynamic so much Also random thought, when and if I have the chance if it doesn't exist already I really want to do a live action remake of the Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Trilogy because there is so much potential to explore the relationships of Maya and Mia (Mia left so Maya would have no competition to become Master of Kurain but Maya has said she didn't care about that, she just wanted her sister), Phoenix and Edgeworth (obviously), Gumshoe and Edgeworth, Phoenix and Maya (they're practically siblings at this point, Nick's her big brother and I want to see them get up to everyday shenanigans), Phoenix and Mia, and so on And of course, the LEGENDARY Turnabout Goodbyes. I didn't add Manfred because there wasn't enough space and the detailing on his jacket scared me lmaoooo Thanks to Capcom for creating such great characters and if you've read this far thanks for reading my infodump nerd-out lollll <333
