Obsessed with the shift in Fowler when he found out Mizu was a woman. The line directly preceding that realization is him holding her in a bear hug with the line "Your bones break like a woman's." Which is patently one of *the* most horrific things he could say and yet...he doesn't get all rapey which is what I was 100% afraid of. He's impressed, and he understands immediately who Mizu is. He isn't insulted that she beat his ass, rather he knows she has beaten his ass and will 100% kill him. The only thing he has to bargain with is information. But even while doing that, he calls her eyes "pretty". He comments that she's tall and it isn't creepy, it's very much in the way a relative would comment on those features to a niece or grandaughter. Those compliments aren't even remotely sexual. They're intended to manipulate Mizu, because he knows that she has probably never been called pretty in her entire life. But here's the thing. I think it backfires. Fowler is cruel and viscious and conniving...but he's *honest* about who he is. As far as we see, he doesn't fake emotions in order to manipulate people. And we learned something very important about him. He had a sister that he sacrificed everything to protect, even fed her his own blood so she wouldn't starve. And now thanks to his tactic of being Mizu's guide in London, he has inadvertantly put himself in the role of her caregiver.
