Have you seen the doors film?
The Oliver Stone movie? Hate it. It’s mostly lies, and makes Jim out to be a real asshole. (He was far from it.)

I am thinking about reading a book about Jim (not the whole band) and I was wondering which one was the best
A Feast of Friends. It’s a book of interviews with Jim’s closest friends and it really shows the real him! I’d recommend it in a heartbeat.

You wish you were Pamela Courson? If you really did your homework on Jim, his true love was Mary Werbelow who he was very serious with prior to him becoming famous. They were nearly inseperable for 3-4 years and their breakup was so hurtful to Jim it prompted him writing "Crystal ship" and "the end". In a interview with Jims Bodyguard you see Jim wasn't as smitten with Pam as everyone believes. He bought her a house to get her out of his hair. Besides, he didn't really feel close to any other.
I know full well who Mary Frances-Werbelow is, but thanks. Anything else you think I don’t know?

Thank you for answering my questions! I just thought of one more. I saw an interview with Penny Courson once and she said that Pam had visions and hallucinations that Jim was coming back - she said after Jim died Pam really didn't live - I think her exact words were "it wasn't really a life. it wasn't really an existence." I have mixed emotions on Pam's death - i'm glad that she got to be with Jim again. I'm not sure how she would have handled having to live without him for so long.
Of course :) I know the interview you are talking about. I honestly don't know what to think about it because I've heard so many conflicting stories. I think most people didn't know Pam that well so it's hard to really know the truth about her. Like I said I'm sure she was devastated and missed him terribly but I also have seen pictures of letters she wrote to men she was seeing after Jim died and she sounded pretty normal. I don't want to say I know what she was like after he died because I wasn't there but I think she wanted to move on but felt very guilty. I do hope she and Jim are together now though, wherever they are.

This is a question really regarding Pam --- I read somewhere that she dated someone after Jim died - even lived with him. Do you think there were any geniune feelings there? Did she fall in love with anyone after Jim? I know many people believe she committed suicide at 27 - the same age Jim was when he died - so she could be with him. She just couldn't live with him. Sad and kinda romantic at the same time.
I think Pam tried to move on after Jim died and there probably were feelings there but I don't think she felt as anywhere near as strongly as she did about Jim. I don't think she committed suicide - I think it was an accident. I've even heard she was doing a bit better before she died. But she was definitely devastated (and even guilty) over Jim's death and I think she missed him terribly.

I love Jim as well! The man was amazingly talented. It's a shame he died so young. I have a question about his personal relationship. Do you believe he and Pamela Courson were truly in love and were soulmates? That witch Patricia drives me crazy. She's a diluted groupie. Still there are huge arguments as to who Jim loved. The romantic in me believes he loved Pam with his whole heart. Sure there were others but he was a rock star.
I don't even take Patricia seriously. From what I've read she was nothing but a nuisance who Jim wanted nothing to do with. I think Jim really did love Pam, but I also think he was very independent and didn't want to be tied down. From what I've read they both really did want to make their relationship work and that's why they kept trying even though they fought and broke up a lot. The only person who I think Jim might have loved as much as Pam is Mary and that's because of songs like the end and the crystal ship. But in the end it was Pam he wanted to be with.

Just a note to say that this is a stunningly beautiful site. Well-done. And, I think we've all wanted to be Pamela Courson at some point. Best, Amy
Thank you! Yes I think anyone who loves Jim would want to be Pamela. She was the luckiest.

What a beautiful site. I've done a lot of research on Jim Morrison and even written an article on him. I think your site has some of the loveliest photographs I've ever seen. Very good work. Cheers, Amy
Thank you! I love Jim so I just want to do him justice.

What's your favourite doors song?
The Crystal Ship. It's beautiful and it always makes me cry because I feel like it's about Mary and I can feel how sad Jim was when they broke up.
