the entourage of smooches quickly toss the grinch into one helluva giggle fit —— - it was a surprise and delightful sudden breakage to the silence that hung heavy in the room.  he liked solitude ,  we all know that ,  but what’s better than sitting in silence with a loved one ?  profusely touching and expressing your love to them !  but getting back on track here ,  the grinch agreed to that statement wholeheartedly ,  but he struggled to follow it.  that’s why nobody’s gracious offerings were welcomed with open arms and big smiles.  the grinch laughed with half protests ,  half hugging the little creature closer as his face warmed up with each kiss sprinkled all over.

“  n - nobody !  cut it out — !  ”    he giggled ,  his fuzzy hand finding its way to the fluffy cheek of their face ,  gently holding them back from peppering anymore smooches.  his pearly white grin beamed at them ,  his heart fluttering with joy he never knew he missed so dearly throughout his lifetime of loneliness and isolation.  the grinch let his head hang forward for just a moment ,  letting out the rest of his laughter before he looked back up at nobody ,  pulling their head close to his own and giving them a big ol kiss on the lips — - it was hardly a kiss ,  actually.  his grin was too strong and wide to properly pucker up ,  but their lips were smushed together ,  and that was okay for now.

“  WHAT ?  what ??  what is SO important that you have to interrupt me with what i’m doing and can’t wait patiently ??  ”    he gripes ,  carefully lifting the chunky ,  protective goggles off his face as he turned to meet his intruder with an all - too - assuming scowl.

if grinch wasn’t such a POOPY BOOMER i think he’d listen to weird iconic-for-like-a-week rap/meme rap and would poorly try to sing along with it and when people he knows (no one absolutely no one) says his rapping sucks he’d just be like NO IT DOESNT!!!!!!!!! but because he’s insecure right down to the bone he’d never sing in front of anyone ever again

HAPPY NEW YEAR !!

i wasn��t here to say it at the right time so i’m 2 hrs late HJSKDS  but YEAH !!   i spent the first few hours of the new decade bonding with my mom’s bf and watching the grinch and analyzing it ,  how are you guys ?

the cat’s heart and mind were a’buzz.  they did it!!  oh, how  exciting  this was!  greeting the new year with his things and new friends! they were welcomed– albeit begrudgingly– into the grinch’s home after he had insisted that the other not be alone to greet the new year.  the cheers of the things running up and down the cave alongside the excited barking of max chasing after, and his gloved hand in the grinch’s ( which he hadn’t tossed, surprisingly )  felt so… warm to the hatted feline.  this really felt like home…

and while the grinch was, well, maybe still  less  than thrilled about the sudden visit, but surely the spirit had touched him too? cozy at home with the people who cared about you. …maybe even loved you.  

“ ah, grinch? thank you for letting us into your home, my friend! but this is not all–  it’s not the end! ”   the cat chitters to his host, his eyes all aglow as his free hand taking off his hat in an almost  meek  manner.  one last tradition to share… one he, if he was honest, maaaay  have thought about prior. already feeling lightheaded, the giddy feline brings the grinch close as if to tell a secret.

“ one last thing. it’s um, for luck! to you and your health! for you and…from myself. ”  he giggles a little, looking downward for a breathe. making sure the things aren’t watching,  the cat tenderly cups the grinch’s cheek with one hand and leans in, placing soft kiss on the other’s mouth.
