📌 Mod Announcement 📌
Hey everyone! Just a heads-up that I won’t be online from Feb 15 to March 10 because I’ll be taking my board exam (aka the ultimate boss battle of my life), and aiming for at least a 95% out of 500, so pray for my sanity.
If you do catch me lurking on here during this period, kindly (or not-so-kindly) tell me to get the frik out of Tumblr—seriously, I’ll need the reminder.
Appreciate you all, and I’ll see you on the other side! 🫡💙✨

I might not be online as much starting this month, but I’ll try to pop in whenever I can—hopefully every night (IST)! And I might be more active during the time period: Mid March to May.
I’m still around, just a little less active. See you when I see you! 😌✨
I think I'll be able to be active most of the time for roughly another week <3

"Ana..." he whispered, his voice trembling as a wave of emotion surged through him. He could barely speak, his throat tight with the weight of everything they had been through.
Gently, he shifted Rooke in his arms, cradling her carefully as he stepped closer to Ana. He knelt beside her bed, reaching out to take her hand, his own trembling slightly as he grasped hers tightly, as if afraid to let go.
Ana was lying on the hospital bed. Jarvis still couldn't let himself call the doctors to tell them the news... he was still grieving, then, he heard his daughters voice. That sweet Angelic voice, he walked towards the corner of the room where Rooke had had her baby sister in her lap and moved his hands forward.
"Need a hand?" Was all he could let out before he broke into tears. Rooke, sat there, slowly handing her sister back to her father so she could calm down, had an oddly blank face. For someone who had just lost their adoptive mother, she wasn't worried or... grieving, just sad that the week had hurt her mother this much. As Jarvis rocked his daughter, he unknowingly walked out of the room. Rooke, then took a chance. She walked over over to her mother's bed with her chair in one hand and placed it down, while simultaneously sitting on it. Removing a few strands of hair away from her eyes.

"I love you too, Rooke," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "More than I can ever put into words."

"Rooke, listen to me."
He wiped the tears from her face, his hands shaking slightly as he spoke, his gaze soft but unwavering. "You’re not nothing. You are so much more than you realize. You saved us—both of us. You gave me back my wife, you gave yourself back a mother, and you’re giving your sister the love and care she needs. That’s everything. And if you think you’re not important, you’re wrong. You’re everything to me. You’re everything to Ana. To your sister. To this family."

"Rooke, look at me," he whispered, his voice soft but steady. "You didn’t scare me. Not even for a second."
"I was scared. Terrified. But not of you. Never of you. I was scared of losing Ana, of losing both of you. You’re my family. And I will never, ever be mad at you for doing everything you could to save her. Everything you did was out of love, Rooke. You’re so strong."

His voice cracked as he spoke, gentle yet firm, his heart in every word. "Yes, Rooke," he whispered. "Your mama’s back. She’s alive, and she’s going to be okay."

He was beside her in an instant, his hands shaking as he lifted her up, cradling her fragile form gently against him. Her body was trembling, her face pale, her breath shallow but steady. He pulled her close, his arms strong around her even as his heart twisted with both gratitude and grief for what she had endured.
"Rooke... you did it," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion, choking on his words. He could feel the pulse of relief in his chest that Ana was alive, but the cost of it all—Rooke’s pain, her sacrifice—was too much.
