You know if you had asked me 2 years ago if the living dead was real I would’ve shook my head and said no. But here I was on a hunt to get resources in this fuck up apocalypse. hand gun shoved in the holster, Tulsa basically was a dead zone at the rate when this all had started and broke out, I’ve been looking for my brothers for the past 796 days got separated when we were outrunning the dead.

At least track helps me with my Stanium real well and distance because if not I’d be eaten by the herd behind me. I yelled out to see if curly was nearby.

“Curly! Are you near!!”

Curly and I have been at this for the past two years since we were with each other when the apocalypse started. It's stupid what we were doing after all but I’m at least glad I got someone with me during this shitshow. Even if it's a curly Shepard and god he could be frustrating nevertheless at least it was someone he could stand.

I heard a gun shot and looked back to see one of the dead behind me fall over take that as a yes curly was near from a distance at least. I heard a voice call out and it brought me some relief at least

“What do you think baby Curtis!”

god that nickname bothered me but at least curly was near brought some sanity in this whole situation. In books how zombies never were out in day light is such a lie it seemed like they were more active during the day. My feet pounded against the concrete ground as the herd behind me as being taken down slowly from curly.

I got into the gas station or at least what was left, it wasn’t in as bad condition as the other ones near but the windows were still broken and so was the door. I grabbed the hand gun from the hoister I think was one of dads guns. I looked around making sure none of the incfecteds were in the building the sudden movement from a mouse made me jump slightly I bit my tongue to not let out a small yelp, I opened the bag I had on my back and started grabbing cans and a bit of bleach and just necessary stuff in general.

I think something I really enjoy talking about is Bob Sheldon sight in the fandom since I believe he is real over hated and honest I understand why people hate him but it feels kinda wrong hearing people saying “Bob is just horrible person”

yes Bob did horrible things but it doesn’t make him a horrible person in my opinion was his actions right no! Not at all. But he was still a kid and never exactly got told what was right and wrong. He wanted to someone to give him footing as Randy said something similar to him in the car when talking to Ponyboy. Doesn’t condone drowning pony whatsoever! I think from different characters perspective everyone saw a different Bob Sheldon.

Randy saw a teenager who needed someone who could tell him what was wrong with his actions and not his folks who would give him on a pat on the back for whatever. Bob was his best friend someone who could he be near.

To Cherry Bob wasn’t just violent and drinks all the time she acknowledges his flaws but he wasn’t just any boy to her she saw the love and kindness in him. 

Ponyboy originally saw an entitled, privileged teenager and is what all he saw Bob was a soc not the own individual.

While after looking in the year book he looks past how instead of just being a soc he sees Bob just as an individual remembering his conversations with cherry and Randy figuring Bob had his own struggles and vulnerability.

Sorry about the long rant but like I wanted to get this out of my system :,)

i really like when people give sodapop flaws/let him be emotional. i think the light that ponyboy paints soda in (because yes, ponyboy is a biased narrator and frames his favorite people as perfect) is one that doesn’t showcase many of his flaws, but honestly? nobody’s perfect and neither is soda.

i’ve made and seen posts about sodapop being an imperfect boyfriend and i still stand by that. sodapop was a great boyfriend probably, im not saying he was terrible, but he had his flaws. he can be very impulsive and it leads him to do stupid, probably borderline dangerous things and brushes it off with “don’t worry too much, baby” or “you don’t gotta be so much of a square, sandy girl”. he can be emotional, which in and of itself isn’t bad, but being the constant peacekeeper and learning that you can’t be angry or it makes everyone else upset makes him bottle things up, and it comes out months later when he finally just loses it. he’ll snap about things they’ve happened literally months ago that he initially brushed off. he doesn’t tell people when things bother him, and when he does, it’s usually in one of those emotional outbursts where he just screams and cusses you out. he apologizes after and feels really bad, but when it happens over and over and over again, it’s hard to just tell him that it’s okay because it’s not okay. that didn’t just happen to sandy either, it happens to steve, darry, sometimes ponyboy, just about anyone. soda has a very long fuse, but when it runs out he just explodes. he’s not perfect, whether it’s with sandy, steve, his brothers, coworkers, the rest of the gang…he’s not perfect. he’s an emotional mess, he’s just better at hiding it. he’s impulsive to a point of fault, where when he gets the urge to do something, he just does it without hesitation and doesn’t really think about the aftermath. soda gets nasty when he gets angry—he knows right where to get you so it’ll hurt, even if he regrets it almost instantly after, the damage is already done by that point.

i dunno, i think it’s fun to think about sodapop’s flaws because regardless of the light he’s painted in, he’s not perfect. he’s not a perfect brother, or friend, or boyfriend, or coworker, or whatever. nobody is.

Fandom and intrests are so ofd in my head because I’ll say I’m in a fandom bc I enojoy the thing but not really interact with the content of that thing, which was dally just because I felt bland and stupid being like “oh yeah uh, my fandoms? The Outsiders….what else? Nothing else, just the Outsiders.” Because I mean sure, I like other things but I think (and everyone apart from me) I relised that being in a fandom is more so being an active member of that community because you have to enjoy something to that point and idk I think I’ve always felt lame admitting that I really hey, only have one bit intrest, I mean I like fight club and music but I hardly look at anything for them, maybr a drawing idea of the protagonist of fight club and Pony togther, but that’s the only time I’ve ever really been like, thinking THINKING about anything else, that’s fandom wise (psychology in my mind is deff not a fandom, and I don’t post about it because it feels awkard) idk I’m just rambling bs atp
