I know we all like to go "lol Johnny can't sit normal anywhere" but I offer up for your consideration that he can't/won't sit "normal" because he has chronic pain. And most likely anxiety/ptsd.

As someone who has chronic pain myself (in my neck/upper back/shoulders), sitting/standing "normal" is simply not comfortable. Putting weight on the bad side sometimes makes it temporarily better. Like Johnny bearing weight on his left arm when he's lounging around. Or the opposite. When he holds his weight across his shoulders, leaning on a wall, so that arm hangs.

Sitting/standing "weird" is sometimes the only way to be at ease too when you're someone who doesn't like to have a door at their back, or feels exposed without a solid object behind or beside them. Sitting on the back of the couch or other raised surfaces so you have a larger field of view.

He's mastered the appearance of just being the cool dude who lounges all over. But I think those habits are rooted in more.

okay but i love that you cant get the secret good ending if you coddle johnny. you have to go "you fucked up, dude, and it might have ruined whatever friendship we were genuinely building. you dont get to do these things with no consequences." for him to actually change. it changes some later lines, too. like if you dont be straight with him then later, after the kerry gig, hes a fucking asshole about it, and implies that he's gonna try and control your body again if the urge takes him. but if you had that talk where you yell at him for a bit, then he's worried about you, and regrets agreeing to the concert because he's noticed that youre getting sicker. i just... i love that enabling him isnt the answer.

vixen (aka vix, my V) does have a backstory and a literal fic ive been writing up for her for months now, but i cant convince myself that people would be interested at all. its like, i dont know, if youre not known in the cyberpunk community or if your V isnt recognisable enough, you’ll just be pushed aside as yet another failed creator. or better yet, those who are known are obviously going to have that attraction, think theyre the only person in the world to exist. its the sad truth about most fan bases, and its why i usually just give up trying to create.
