Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory: Wonka’s Master Plan
Tumblr media
The 1971 film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory Captured the heart of millions with its amazing storyline, deep symbolism and meaning, and of course the chocolate room. I must admit, watching this movie as a kid, I wanted to live in the chocolate room and never leave. The film became a huge success because of the various story telling elements.
Recently, I stumbled upon a theory behind the golden tickets and how Wonka intentionally planned who would receive the 5th and final one. The theory goes that Wonka planned on a false finding of the 5th golden ticket and sent his spy Bill, the candy shop owner, to give the last golden ticket to “a local kid, a poor kid, an unselfish kid.” (Bradley, 2017) That child would happen to be our star boy Charlie. The theory also suggests that Wonka knew where all five golden tickets went to and that Wonka had multiple spies to make sure Charlie gets the last golden ticket.
I believe that if this theory is true, then Mr. Wonka’s plan for the golden tickets would add on to the movie’s meaning and teaches the audience a valuable lesson. The lesson is that good children who are kind hearted and hard working will receive good while those who are lazy and bad won’t receive anything good. The ultimate goal of the film was to teach the audience and Willy Wonka’s master plan would do so.

Spider-Man 3: The Film to Top Avengers Endgame
Tumblr media
Yes you heard me correct. Spider-Man 3 will be the next big movie that has a shot of beating Marvel’s Avengers Endgame in Box Office records. Even though the movie is set to be released in 2021, anticipated rumors and theories about the film have grown all over social media. So what will give Spider-Man 3 the edge it needs to beat Avengers Endgame?
The most obvious rumor every Marvel fan knows is the return of both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. If you were a 2000′s kid and grew up watching marvel, then you know who these two actors are. Both Maguire and Garfield played Spider-Man before Tom Holland was casted. The rumor is that in the film, we may see Maguire, Garfield, and Holland in the same movie, all three playing Spider-Man. If this rumor is true, then Spider-Man 3 will have an edge that Avengers Endgame doesn’t have and that is the nostalgia factor. 2000′s kids and Marvel fans grew up with both Maguire and Garfield as Spider-Man. For them along with Holland to be in the same film and fighting together would really be a dream come true to see Maguire and Garfield back in their roles as Spider-Man.
As a Marvel fan, I can’t wait for Spider-Man 3 to come out. I grew up with both Maguire and Garfield as a kid and I believe Holland does an amazing job portraying the roll of Peter Parker. It’s going to be interesting to see what will happen and what surprises are to come when the film is released.
What theories and surprises do you think will happen in Spider-Man 3?

Onward: The Pixar Theory’s Biggest Curve Ball
youtube
Pixar is one of Disney’s most successful branches that captures the heart of millions with their fun and emotional films. We all grew up with at least one Pixar movie. From Toy Story to Cars to Monster’s Inc. to Ratatouille, Pixar films were apart of our childhood and grew up along by our side.
On March 6, 2020, Pixar released its newest edition to the Pixar world, the film Onward. Many die-hard fans after watching the movie think about how Onward fits into the Pixar Theory. The Pixar Theory is a theory about how every Pixar film fits in the same universe. The theory was created due to the multiple easter eggs scattered throughout the films.
With the release of Onward, fans are having trouble figuring out how Onward fits into the timeline. Popular YouTube channel SuperCarlinBrothers created a theory as to how Onward fits into the time and I believe its the best theory so far. The video is posted above if anyone is interested and feel free to comment how you think Onward fits into the Pixar Theory timeline.

The Nightmare Before Christmas: How Did the Citizens of Halloween Town Die?
Tumblr media
Happy Monday everyone! Halloween is only five days away and to get in the spirit, lets talk about the citizens of Halloween Town from the iconic Tim Burton film The Nightmare Before Christmas.
We all enjoyed the different characters throughout the movie, but have you ever wondered how everyone died? For example, the theory about the protagonist Jack Skellington is that he was burned to death. We create this assumption based on the beginning of the movie where Jack is actually set on fire. Another interesting theory is about the film’s antagonist Oogie Boogie. Boogie was skinned alive and we can tell because at the movie’s final fight scene, Boogie would eventually lose his skin. Of course we can’t talk about The Nightmare Before Christmas without the movie’s female lead Sally. The theory about Sally’s death is that she was dismembered. We come to this conclusion because Sally’s entire body is sown together and we can even see Sally take off pieces of her body.
There are even more theories about how the other characters in the movie died. While it may not be the first thing we think about when discussing the film, it’s still a great topic to talk about with friends.
How do you think the citizens of Halloween Town died?

Jurassic Park: The Case of the Missing Props
Tumblr media
We all know Jurassic Park is notoriously known for having multiple cinematic and continuity issues. One of the most common errors die-hard fans have noticed is disappearing props. Throughout the movie, props seem to either vanish from the movie entirely or disappear and reappear moments later. A prime example many fans caught on to is when Dennis Nedry’s bag disappears in one shot and later reappears in another. Another example is in the scene where the baby dinosaur is born and the robotic arm behind it suddenly vanishes. Finally, and this is probably the one error majority of people don’t notice, is the missing raptor at the films final fight scene. At the end of the film when the t-rex is fighting the raptors, the t-rex grabs one of them and for ONE frame, the raptor disappears. Even with all its errors, Jurassic Park is an iconic film known by many and is a great movie to show students studying film and can learn from it.
