We were gathered outside of Hiccup's hut when he opened the door. "All right, now let's get the Riders and see if we can ditch-"

Spitelout cleared his throat. "Going somewhere?"

"Uh, well-"

"Never mind," Spitelout said. "I heard it all."

"We heard it all," Tuff said.

"Yeah!" Ruff agreed.

"And we're coming with ya, Chief," Spitelout clapped a hand on Hiccups shoulder. "Your father would want it this way."

"You're sure?" Hiccups asked, smiling at his friends.

I grabbed his arm. "I was going anyway."

Hiccup laughed as he grabbed my arm back. "I'd expect nothing less from you."

~ Chapter 43: Let’s Go

The bright colors of the sunrise quickly gave way to the soft gray of the late fall rain clouds as I hugged my dragon and examined her for new scars. When I arrived back at her neck I took note of the saddle. It was recognizable as not the one customized for my size but as the one that had sat on Hookfang's neck for so long. I looked around to see a Viking ship headed our way through the morning haze.

"I hope you're that excited to see me," said a familiar gruff voice from behind me.

I was crying and silent laughter shook my body as I threw myself into Snotlout's arms.

Snotlout laughed as he lifted me into the air and spun me around. As soon as my feet were on the ground, his lips were against mine. His beard felt so nice against my face.

"I'm sorry it took so long," Snotlout said, holding me close. "There was so much to be done..."

I shook my head. "Don't apologize. You're here now."

Chapter 73: Return

"Dagur." I said, watching the stars. The storm had broken for the first time in 9 days and the clouds were just beginning to disperse.

"What are you doing?"

"Watching for my husband." I smiled.

3 years later

"Miss Mouse?" A four year old boy said beside me as I watched the stars. "Why do you watch the sky and not the water?"

"I'm watching for dragons, Havid, not boats,” I said, pulling my purple wrap around my arms again with a slight frown.

"Dragons?" Havid said incredulously. "You believe in dragons?"

"Of course, Havid." I pointed towards the sky. "There are a few to watch for. The first is Razzle, a beautiful purple nightmare scared from her great many battles, and her other half, Hookfang a red nightmare who carries a mighty warrior. The night fury Toothless, a large dark creature with a metal tail and our chief on his back. The blue deadly Nader, Stormfly, the mount of our cheiftess. Meatlug, the brown gronkle who carries one of Berk's mightiest scholars. And the zippleback carrying twins who you'd think were born of Loki himself."

"I thought you were the chieftess of Berk," Havid said. "My mom called you the Valkyre of Berk."

I chuckled. "No, Havid, I'm no cheif. Our cheif is my battle brother, Hiccup Haddock the King of Dragons."

"Woah..." Havid's eyes shined for a second before he looked at the ground. "My brother says dragons don't exist because no one's seen one."
