Palestine campaigns with under a thousand donations
Trying a new tactic with the fundraisers on my pinned list. These campaigns appear to gain a lot more traction when the number of donations hits a thousand, so here's a way to highlight those that could use more. These have all been vetted by Palestinians on Tumblr. Just like the main list, I'll keep you all updated with how things progress, and as always, if you can't donate, reblog.

Treznor's lore gave me Niru brainrot (unsurprisingly) so scroll by if you don't wanna read that shit
~~
I just wanna specifically touch upon the part of Treznor's lore that said that there's just a whole bunch of souls being bound and tortured into submission of Thoran/Quedam's cause cause there's a lot there to think about.
Niru's necromancy has been demonstratedly for "good" quote unquote within his/his family's lore. His resurrection of his family, his assistance in rebuilding Izold, his work within the Realm Of Denial; all these could be argued as at least -somewhat- morally "right". Or at least, non-evil.
Niru sees resurrection as a second chance, as a saving grace, or even a path to peace. He uses souls that want that second chance, that want to hold onto the material world, whatever the reason may be. He, Shem, and Daimon venture into the Realm Of Denial specifically to help the lost and frightened souls within. His whole deal is finding ways to heal beyond death.
Now imagine, if you will, that a necromancer must be able to, on at least some level, hear or otherwise sense a soul that they could work with. Imagine one day hearing just a whole mess of souls all in one place and feeling something is horribly, horribly wrong.
The cries of these souls are not lost, they're trapped. They're not crying for salvation, they're crying in agony. They're not crying for a second chance, they're crying for it to end.
So, I posit to you this: Niru works with Treznor's resistance on the side. Being so "close" to Thoran (i.e: being the graveborn's almost sole medical officer), he can't do anything overt, and he certainly can't physically free any of the souls already being tortured. But what he can do, is get to new souls before Thoran does. Which is why he works within the Realm Of Denial.
Niru has a pretty good idea as to where the main "pipelines" of souls are, the places where a wayward soul would drift sooner rather than later. If he can free the soul directly within the Realm, Thoran/Quedam would be too late to snatch them from the aether, meaning the soul could pass untortured.
It's stressful work, and there's times where he definitely has to choose his battles, but every soul saved still is a soul saved.

well i was trying to organize some headcanons i came up with, but instead i added more and somehow it’s even more disorganized than what i began with. how. how did i do this.
#i don't even know how many of these are any good#most of my headcanons are just. the fevered scrawlings of a madman#and then i try to make sense of them later#i have a tendency to ramble on for paragraphs and paragraphs#and a lot of the time i realize it's actually all garbage and i have to delete it all#and you can tell that i do this because i sometimes don't catch myself and i post rambling garbage nonsense anyways

Mauler headcannon that Sunflowers are symbolic for growth in face of adversity and looking towards the sun where life and death may come from and with it a hope for a future. Sunflowers are very significant because of how sturdy and resilient they are. Though they are fragile when first sprouting, they grow and grow as time passes and become stronger as they plant their roots deep and look to the sun. They are the Mauler’s cultural flower.
Sunflowers hold a special meaning. They symbolize the strong bonds and deep feelings felt between people. They can be for many different kinds of relationships. To weave sunflowers in hair while braiding is an act of showing how much that person means to you. To gift someone sunflowers tells the person they are special and dear to them.
Whether they be friendship, familial, or romantic, to gift a sunflower to someone or even decorate someone’s hair with them is a show of much that person means to the other. How deep the bond goes and how significant that person is to the other’s life. To be able to touch another’s hair and braid it is a sign of trust. And to be trusted to braid and place sunflowers in their hair shows how deep and significant the bond goes.
Even the gifting of seeds shows a genuine care and affection in the action.
To reject another’s sunflowers is that. A rejection. The saying “I will never put sunflowers in your hair” is the ultimate verbal form of rejection.
