Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara is a famous site of Sikhs, which is located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Hemkund is a Sanskrit name, which means we mean ice, and Kunda means bowl. At this place the tenth and last Guru of the Sikhs, Shri Guru Gobind Singh had meditated in his previous life and took the present life. Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara is situated at an altitude of 4329 meters above sea level.

Hardwar was also one of the places where four drops of nectar fell during the churning of the ocean, due to which the Kumbh Mela is organized hereafter every 12 years. To start the Char Dham Yatra, you have to come to Hardwar first. To go to Badrinath Dham and Kedarnath Dham, the main dhams of Hari i.e. Lord Vishnu and Har i.e. Lord Shiva, you have to come to Haridwar first.
