Gonna make my favourite band obvious with this…

Icarus by Starset is a Jimmy Solidarity song, and I see Limited Life Jimmy in it the most. “Your wings you never could change, always the victim.”

Something Wicked by Starset is a Double Life Pearl song, it references Macbeth with “Something wicked this way comes” just like how Pearl did. “An enemy I can’t condemn” is Scott, a lot of the other lyrics for the vibes extremely well. “I’ve lost myself, I have come undone.”

Destroyer by NUTRONIC is a Renchanting song, I see it as being from Martyn’s perspective. “Your reign is never ending, my destroyer.” In the same vein, it’s a little newer but What Have You Become? by MNQN is a Martren song, “A selfish mutation”, “Some foreigner in my skin.”

Otherworldly by Starset is a general Skizz song, and I can also associate it with Impulse and Skizz’s dynamic. “So lift me up, I’ll never let you down.”

Trials by Starset is a very hivemindey-sounding Doc song, the whole thing just screams Doc’s vibe. “The steel in our hearts will be monuments.” I also consider Starset’s Perfect Machine to be a Doc song.

Monster by Starset is a sculk Cub song, perhaps about being overtaken by the sculk/Evermoore fog and becoming a “monster”. “I’ll drop the darkness in and watch it grow.”

It’s not really answering the question but I’m so insane over Starset that I have a whole list of Starset lyrics that best fit each hermit. Some of my favourites are the Trials lyric I quoted above for Doc… “We’re motivated by the scars that we’re made of” also from Trials, is the Scar lyric… “I’ll send out my soul, to worlds more beautiful” from Ricochet is the Gem lyric… “Burning through space, I see your face, I could beat kryptonite” from Leaving This World Behind is the Keralis lyric (oooh and I also associate this song with Keralis and xB’s Hermitcraft 8 escape)… The Otherworldly lyric quoted above for Skizz… and “So come one and all, step right up and I’ll perform a trick before your eyes” from Disappear is the Zedaph lyric.

I consider this a “Starset bombing.” Get Starset bombed :P

I’ll say this at this moment because it’s likely no more episodes are coming out, (I’ll keep my eyes out) but I have officially completed my challenge of watching every single Hermitcraft season 9 episode. Start to finish, all 26 hermits plus Empires members when they were on the server.

Rules were, if it’s labelled as an episode or adds to the episode count, watch it. No skipping parts, unless it’s a group thing I’ve seen a million times, where I’m confident I’ve seen it all (Hermits who minimally cut group events, such as xB or Joe, are super helpful). TCG specials don’t count, second channel anything doesn’t count, xB’s decimal episodes don’t count, stream vods don’t count. The episodes of Empires members when they were on the Hermitcraft server count, but when the crossover was still on empires, they didn’t count. Hermits’ videos on the Empires server did count though. Moderately speeding up the videos is allowed, especially when many days behind.

What am I doing now that I’m done? Watching more Hermitcraft.

Sifting through season 8 to be precise, I’ve only really seen the beginning and end of that one. (Not watching everything again, just picking and choosing episodes that look important.)

This is probably the longest running and most insane chokehold any series/fandom has kept me in.
