All of these pictures (and most Minecraft Screenshots found on my page) are all taken within the lovely little server, DezoCraft!

DezoCraft is a new and growing Minecraft Java Edition server, which features lots of unique content for players of all kinds. The images in this post were taken in Fox SMP, which features unique kits, ranks, perks, collectible items, and the SMP’s most notable feature, Tameable Pet Foxes, which gives the mode it’s name!

I’ve played on DezoCraft’s server since beta, and try my best to help it grow and improve. If you are interested in joining, the server IP is Play.DezoMC.net, the server is completely public for Java Edition, just make sure to follow the rules!

I noticed some people asked for the Minecraft seed from my last post!

Unfortunately, I dont know the seed! 

The screenshots were taken in a server, so the seed used is unknown to me! I believe I took these screenshots in DezoCraft, it’s a newer minecraft server that’s trying to grow, and it’s a great place and if you want to experience the seed, the IP is Play.DezoMC.net! I can confirm, the seed for Dezo is one of the best I’ve ever played on <3 

UPDATE: DezoCraft has reopened!!

(Dezo is one of the only servers I play on, and basically the only one I use shaders on, so I’m almost positive that is where the screenshots were taken!)

PSA: Love for Small MC Servers

I have come to realize that many people don’t give smaller Minecraft Servers the love they deserve. 

Many small servers that I have played on, hold some of the best experiences I’ve had within the game as a whole. When joining a new server, you cant expect there to be 50 or even 20 people online at all times, sometimes not even 10, thats why its considered a new server. Instead of leaving a new and possibly growing server, help it grow! Just think of it, if you stay in a small server, and give it a chance, it may reach higher ranks in the future, and you can say “I’ve been here from the start”! What a great feeling that would be, right? Being able to say you’ve watched the server grow for months since the beginning, not only that, but imagine how accomplished and happy the server owner + developers would feel knowing that someone has been there for so long, watching and waiting for every new thing! In fact, being there for so long would most likely give you recognition, you would many new friends, and may even become a staff member yourself! 

So here’s my note for you, help small servers, give them a chance, it may benefit you more than you think!

Mossball's Top 5 and Why! (Mobs)

[ As we Minecraft Players know, there are many mobs within the world of Minecraft! Some are great and useful, and some are just really cool! This blog will go over five of my personally ranked favorite mobs, and why! Who knows, maybe you, the reader of this post, will share a favorite mob with me! Now, lets get into it! ]

#5 Sheep 🐑

Starting off we have the four-legged cloud, now, this mob is simple and common but earns its spot on my list—Here’s why!

Minecraft sheep are just really cute, seriously, look at that fluffy little derp face.

So many colors! These creatures can match any build you make if you have the proper dye, they can even be rainbow! How cool is that?

Sheep are completely docile, and very useful! Sheep will never attack you, even when you shear them for their fluff! Wool has many uses, whether you’re building, or making carpet or a bed, sheep will always have what you need! Next time you bring beds along to defeat the Ender Dragon, thank the sheep that so kindly let you have its wool!

#4  Fish (Especially Salmon) 🐟

Now, this one might not make alot of sense, but I have my reasons!

The minecraft salmon is actually pretty cute, and they can make ideal pets, especially if you aren’t big of four-legged creatures! They are completely docile, and can be fun and relaxing to watch in lakes, rivers, or even an aquarium!

Easily transportable! If you ever find a want to have a pet salmon of your own, or need a fish for your pond, fish can easily be scooped up into a bucket, and once placed in their new home, do not despawn!

 No nametag? No problem! Once you placed your new friend in a bucket, you can name the bucket at an anvil! Once placed, your new pet fish will have a name, no nametag needed! (May vary depending on version)

#3 Dolphin 🐬

Want loot? Dolphins got you covered. Feed these aquatic friends some fish, and they’ll be your guide to some treasure! Dolphins know all the best places to find hidden chests, make sure to follow their lead!

Dolphins make great swimming partners! When a dolphin swims by your side, they will grant the "Dolphin's Grace" status effect that allows you to swim faster, this can be both useful and fun!

Dolphins are pretty fun to watch, just as in real life, Dolphins can be pretty entertaining. Besides making interesting noises and leaping from the water, Dolphins will also chase after your dropped items in the water, so make sure you don’t drop anything important!

#2 Bee 🐝

One of the cutest minecraft mobs, hands down. Since their addition to Minecraft, I have never met someone who doesn’t like Minecraft Bees. They are just so cute, and don’t even get me started on the baby bees. They are just a 10/10 on the cute scale.

Liquid Gold. Bee’s of course, besides being adorable, are very useful for their honey. Drinking honey in of course restores hunger, but can also be used to remove poison effects, which obviously can come in handy. 

A Sticky Situation. By harvesting honey from bees, you can craft Honey Blocks. These can be useful for breaking your fall if you happen to walk off a cliff while playing Pokémon Go.

#1 Drowned ⭐

I’m not sure why exactly, but Drowned have always been my favorite mob.

I genuinely consider Drowned my personal favorite mob, to the point where I’ve even made a pond to keep them as pets. When playing in a hardcore world they may be annoying, but I feel they deserve more attention. 

Drowned are the only means of acquiring Tridents, which to many are a very sought after item in any Minecraft World because of the unique enchantments and immense power they can have. 

Some Drowned may also spawn with another unusual and rare item, the Nautilus Shell, which will be held in their off-hand. Besides making an interesting collectible, these shells are also essential for crafting a conduit.

From being the main source of Tridents, and a means of collecting some pretty cool shells, Drowned deserve some more appreciation! Next time you see a Drowned, remember all the things that they have, that us players collect!

Hypixel (Blog/Personal Review)

⚠ Note that the following information is based on personal opinion and experience, and may not be accurate for all players. I respect your opinions, please respect mine.  ⚠

[ Hypixel is probably by far, one of the most popular Minecraft Java Servers in existence. Nearly every Minecraft player has probably played there at least once, however, with so many things packed into one server, there may be some debate on what makes and keeps Hypixel in the highest rankings. ]

After some research on some player opinions from other sources, some say because of the Friendly Community, others say because the content it holds is unique and in general more fun than most servers, some others say because of the huge, outstanding builds featured around the server itself. These ideas leave room for debate, which I will go over in the following. 

•• ━━━━━ ••●•• ━━━━━ ••

I . Community 

Now, as most of us are aware, no server or community is perfect or ‘the best’, not even Hypixel’s. If you’re coming into Hypixel for the first time, do not expect a warm welcome. With the vast amount of players on the server, upon joining, most players will fail to acknowledge you even exist unless you have gained recognition through continuous hours of playtime or just happen to be a famous content creator.

Now, as I mentioned previously, no community is perfect, and you will find toxicity and negativity in many places on the internet. However, negative experiences are even more common the larger the server becomes, and where its popularity originated.

In case you are not aware, Hypixel’s content offers a wide range of multiplayer minigames, PVP, and etc. This type of content of course, tends to make players very competitive, and on such a large server, the race and pressure is on to fight your way to the leaderboards. Some ‘friendly competition’ isn’t a bad thing of course, but many of the competition and community in Hypixel fails to fall into the category of friendly. 

4/10 Not the best place for making friends 🙁

II. Content

Hypixel may just be the number one place to play mini games such as Skywars/Bedwars, and may have a larger variety of minigames compared to other servers. However, several other servers in this time also have the same or very similar content, so in some aspects it may not be as 'unique' as it once was.

In servers with a smaller player base, where toxicity is less common, minigames and pvp may actually be more fun. I’ve even supported this idea through personal experience, as playing minigames on a few smaller servers did prove to be more enjoyable. 

Many things on Hypixel are very simple, and can get boring which probably explains somewhat why it may be necessary to have 50+ different minigames on the server. I’m not saying having variety is a bad thing, as it does fit the interests of several types of players. However, if you are not much into high pressure, it might not be the best place for you.

6/10 Large variety, but can get boring quickly. 🤔

III. Builds

Honestly, I cant really say much about the builds on Hypixel because I admit, they are very cool and complex, and far beyond anything I myself could build within Minecraft. 

9/10 Agreed, Hypixel has exquisite builds 👍

My final opinion/summary

I understand why many people like Hypixel, it does have several reasons for its popularity, however, I think the majority of this popularity comes from other sources such as YouTube and Content Creators. It’s not a new thing for things to gain attention after getting input from certain people, however, that leads to over-popularity of something that in truth, isn’t something to write home about. This is my opinion. If you are reading this and think differently, I respect that, I’m not at all saying Hypixel is a bad server, I simply believe it may be popular for the wrong reasons, and for me, there are better places to spend my time.

Final Rating: 5/10 - Neutral Feelings 😐
