Started this Saturday but didn’t finish it until today, I guess the holidays are bit tough when you’re still grieving.

“Maybe it’s safe to come home”

I get to work on my own personal art again which is relaxing. First time trying out a portrait w this color scheme and my first time using gouache paint. I don’t love it but it’s good to push myself out of my comfort zone.

Such a great turnout, I’m so happy I pushed myself to do this.

Looking forward to next years, I’ll definitely have more and better stock.

A few of the patches that will be up for sale tomorrow at Houston Zinefest. They’ll be like $15-$16 at most.

Zinefest is tomorrow, I’m all packed up and ready to go. I’m actually really nervous, but I’m proud of myself for making it this far. Will finally be able to bring out my “Morriss” sculpture I did during covid, this is my first solo art show.

Still working on finishing some of the patches, 4 to be exact. I’m also considering opening up a shop for them, they’d be like $16 each. We’ll see what the future has in store for my work.

Spent the last two days assembling my zine, it’s been a real pain in the ass but I managed to cut 800 squares out and put them together.

I also received my stamp in the mail today, I really like it.

Finished my shop banner for my table at zinefest this year, took me a while but it’s complete and I’m happy with the results.

Note to reader: it’s okay to take breaks between projects to feel your emotions, eventually everything will get completed.

some people have asked about making zines, and i've seen a lot of people in the tags talk about wanting to make some but don't know how... so here is a zine (technically two) about making zines! wowza! pardon the handwriting lol

there are other methods of making zines that require a stapler or sewing, but this one-page zine is the simplest form of it.

i hope this makes sense, feel free to ask if anything is unclear :]
