Northern Lights release debut single, "Ashamed"

The band that consist members of Outline In Color, Miss Fortune release the single on their facebook page today (4th March 2015). The single is produced by Camerom Mizell from Chango Studios. Check the single below:

In Hearts Wake announce new album titled "Skydancer"

The album is the second-half project of the "Earthwalker" album. The band kept this secret from their label and fans for 18 months. The album will be release on 1st May 2015. In their previous album "Earthwalker", the band secretly put Breakaway lyric booklet at the back of the CD case as a clue for fans to discover the new album. Jake Taylor (vocalist) said in a documentary that one of their fan accidently dropped the CD case then found the booklet and ask the band on the facebook.

The band said that the cover of the "Earthwalker" like represent earth/mother earth, the album little bit relate to feminism and nature (divine feminine), For "Skydancer" like represent sky/god, the album little bit relate to male power and leadership (divine masculine). The vocalist explained why one of the album represent man and one represent women in a documentary (watch below).

In a statement on Facebook, the band have said, “Today we can finally unveil the secret that we’ve been keeping for the past 18 months. We will be releasing a new full length album titled “Skydancer” on May 1st. “Skydancer” was recorded alongside “Earthwalker” and is the second half of the album project we created in Michigan, late 2013. Everything from the concept, lyrics, tracklisting, album cover and artwork is aligned between the two records.”

For now only Skydancer and Breakaway is the only single that they release off from the album. The music video for Breakaway will be release on 5th March 2015. The album will available for pre-orders tomorrow (4th March 2015) on unfdcenteral.com/skydancer.

The album will featured Jonathan Vigil (The Ghost Inside), Marcus Bridge (Northlane), J Hurley and Ben Marvin (Hacktivist). The band recorded a documentary for the album which the band members explain about the album and in the making. The documentary can be found in their website for "Skydancer" project.

Violet band breaks up, members parting ways

Violet is a posthardcore/rock band from Derbyshire. Their latest release is an album called "The Love The Lust". Right before the breakup, their bassist, Zach Phelps left the band and not so long after that, the clean vocalist, Jordan Samuel parted ways with the band which makes the band had to carry on shows without them.

Two days after the announcement of departure of Jordan Samuel, the band updated their facebook page stated that the band is not in a good shape and they decided to broke up but some of the members will continue making music. The played one last show in their hometown and sold cheap merch.

Outline In Color's bassist form a band with members from Miss Fortune and Elenora

The band called Northern Lights and a metalcore outfit with electronic element. The band were managed by Eric Rushing and Mike Milford of The Artery Foundation.

This doesn't mean they leave their bands, Michael Skaggs is still with Outline In Color same goes to Josh Kikta (Miss Fortune), Mikey Sawyer (Miss Fortune) and Nick Taylor (Elenora). Michael Skaggs said in a interview with Youth Music that Ghost Noise is his ex-client and he interested to add Ghost Noise in the band.

The band currently in studio with Cameron Mizell (Memphis May Fire, Storm The Sky, The Words Alive, Palisades, Woe Is Me, etc). The band release a trailer for a new single titled, 'Ashamed'. Listen to the teaser here: Ashamed

Acaedia Genre: Metalcore Hometown: Miami, FL

How did you become a band? Where did the band name originate from?

Ray: When I parted ways with Abiotic, I didn’t do anything music related for a while to focus on my personal life. It was only natural that my passion for the art would eventually exhort me to get back at it again. Javi was aware that I was interested in starting a new project, so he contacted me and asked if I’d be interested in working with him; he had a lot of material he had been working on that he was aching to record. The rest of the members, Abel, Eddy and Jesus, were all really close friends that Javi and I deemed a good fit to join our musical endeavors, and it turned out we were right.

In regards to the band’s name, Acaedia is another form of the word Acedia (pronounced uh-see-dee-uh), meaning spiritual or mental sloth. The name describes a state of indifference about one’s position in the world. I chose this name because I feel humanity lacks care or interest in the virtues our societies foster, and that, among other aspects, is something our lyrics tend to encompass. The reason the name is spelled weird is because that’s just what I do. I can’t help complicating things.
