🚼 - Does your character have or want kids?

quiet . it’s not exactly something she thinks about as often as, let’s say, marriage; but, she’s not opposed to having children to call her own in the future, either. of course, she’d rather worry about something like that when she’s older, when she’s more financially comfortable &. working a steady career to support herself ( moonlighting as a jazz bar singer alongside working a daytime job as a waitress at a maid café ain’t exactly an ample opportunity to start raising kids, to say the least ). 

miyoung is absolutely fantastic with kids, though. she grew up practically raising her younger childhood friends, momoko &. veritas, who are 5 years her junior, since she started living in japan. &. this maternal treatment extends to plenty of her other friends to this current day, even to older family members, like daichi &. her sick bed-ridden uncle. she loves to cook &. take care of others, making sure they eat well --- a caregiver quality that she will never grow out of. she’s already a mother figure for many, a chanteuse that would often sing lullabies to those that have trouble sleeping at night, &. a selfless woman that cares for others before herself. miyoung would be a great mother once that time comes.

😍 - Your character’s lust object just passed right by them. How awkward do they get as they try to make conversation?

quiet . starting conversations with her boyfriend should come easy for her at this point. that’s not to say she still doesn’t become become a flustered, blushing mess when jun so much as call her ‘pretty’. &. damn, does that man do that often --- even during mundane settings, like when she’s deep in thought, biting her lips; or, reaching for something at the highest shelf, standing on her tip-toes --- jun finds any excuse to fluster her up, both teasing &. endeared. imagine the look on her face when those same compliments are as intense as being called ‘beautiful’ or ... ( *gasp* ) when ‘i love you’ is being exchanged. even when they’re old &. married, miyoung will never get past that honeymoon phase --- forever young &. dumb, always charmed by his presence.

quiet . this is a lot omg. so, fair warning, this is gonna be a long one ( or not, WHO KNOWS! but survey says-! )

🍰 - What is their favorite type of dessert or sweet?

quiet . CREPES...! this girl absolutely loves her crepes: homemade, or sold by street vendors, filled with strawberries &. whip cream, or bananas &. chocolate, or peaches &. orange marmalade, drizzled with sweet sugary strawberry, or chocolate, or caramel syrup on top; the possibilities are endless! but, if she had to choose an absolute favorite, it should be obvious --- given that strawberries are her favorite fruits, you could fill in the blanks from there.

&. speaking of fruits, miyoung is more likely to enjoy strawberries or mandarins as a sweet snack throughout the day rather than her preferred dessert, if we’re being completely honest here. crepes are more decadent, &. only eaten on special occasions ( or ... whenever vivi decides to drag miyoung on one of her impulsive shopping trips in shibuya; she can’t help herself when she catches a food truck selling crepes as they’re walking around ).

but in miyoung’s humble opinion, none of that holds a handle to momoko’s strawberry shortcake. momo may be younger than her, but her baking skills outranks miyoung’s in every possible category; &. she couldn’t be any more proud about that.

🐢 - What type of animal would they keep for a pet?

quiet . this may sound a bit unconventional, but once miyoung has a place to call her own ( with jun ), she wants to cultivate a personal butterfly garden. she loves butterflies; she loves butterflies so much, she has a heart-shaped box in her room filled with spare butterfly wings, in the case she has to nurse any wandering butterflies with broken wings back to health. one day, she wants to create a home, a sanctuary, for these lovely creatures.

💢 - What frustrates your character more than anything?

quiet . her inability to get past her shyness is the cause for many misunderstandings throughout her life. more often times than not, she’s misunderstood because her shyness can come off across as uncomfortable or awkward for others, giving the wrong impression that she might even dislike the person she’s talking to for the first time, which she finds more disheartening than it is frustrating; but, it’s still very much a barrier she has to get over. her demure disposition can sometimes give others the wrong idea about her character --- that she’s merely acting that way in order to grab the attention of other men, who find that kind of personality appealing with ill intentions. this thinking has caused many problems for her growing up, especially during her early years living in japan.

so, really ... her personal flaws is more frustrating for miyoung than anything anyone else could possibly subject her to.

🍴 - What is the absolute worst meal your character has ever eaten? Were they verbal about it or did they just not say anything?

quiet . easy: the first meal hikari has ever cooked for her &. everyone in their childhood friends group. he’s a rich man with little to no experience in the kitchen, having no need to cook his own meals since he had his own personal chef &. nutritionist to answer to his beck &. call growing up. so, it should come to no surprise that when he tried his hand in cooking a full course meal for everyone, it was an absolute disaster. the kitchen nearly burned down twice ( the stove still needed to be replaced the next day though ), the rice came out mushy with a soup-like texture, the veggies were still cold, &. the hamburger steak was somehow burnt &. crispy on the outside yet raw &. bloody at the same time. everything was damn near inedible.

&. yet ... miyoung didn’t criticize him once. she just smiled &. ate the raw, bloody steak without a hint of displeasure on her face; even when the texture made her want to gag, she stamped down that sensation, coughing behind her napkin to hide the unpleasant sound that threatened to crawl out from her throat. ‘mmm. this pairs perfectly with red wine, ne.’ matter of fact, she cleared her plate &. asked for seconds. because that’s just the kind of girl miyoung is. the stomach poison she experienced the next day didn’t bother her one bit.
