bad life decisions had never been associated with ramona harrison until recently. why she had even contemplated going on a reality show to cover her own back as far as romance was concerned would forever be a mystery to her. it was a world wind and although the woman felt more liberated than before, she wasn’t working and felt like she had ruined her reputation as far as her reputation was concerned. a real housewife, she was not. a few years ago, mona would have scoffed at anyone who even contemplated watching such a thing and she had managed to go to the extreme by making an entire season about her and her sexuality. it was a toxic environment but not as toxic as the prison she had created for herself. however, without her job, she felt trapped in a mediocre cycle. sipping on the last of her pinot grigio, she chuckled and turned to the other blonde. “are you done? they were never really my thing.” that was an understatement.
❝ I find it really weird that pickles were once cucumbers… ❞   she’s not exactly speaking to anyone, just… announcing it awkwardly while reading a book. Her mind had been unusually unkempt due to the looming thought of a drought (work wise). The after effect of the holidays were always her downtime, which meant her hyper personality could run a muck.   ❝  Why would someone take a perfectly beautiful cucumber and stick it in a jar for a long period of time to become a monstrous version of its former innocence? Do you ever just… wonder about random stuff like that? ❞  she finally turns to the other, before taking a long sip of her poorly disguised wine- in -a -water bottle.
❝ Plus it’s one of those words that if you say it over ten times it doesn’t sound like a word anymore. Pickle…pickle…..pickle………...pickle.  ❞

it was hard for ramona to let go of things, especially when it came to her having lack of control over situations. the woman was destroyed after her supposed reality nightmare but it was flipped into a positive once she decided that it needed to be. the tall blonde took a moment to look around as she calculated where to sit but her examination of the perimeter was shortly disrupted as she liquid hit her back. “ fuck ! ” she was one that tried not to swear, out of good habit more than anything else but her patience was beginning to run pretty thing. ramona harrison never had to struggle but she would often get upset about the little things. upon turning around, it didn’t take her two moments to register the other’s familiar face. “it’s fine, i don’t think you can save that one...” rubbing it was just going to make it worse. “perhaps i should crouch down under the dryer for a while, would be more effective.”

“ - listen, i don’t spend my whole day with old white guys who try to explain my own career to me, just to have the same thing happen on my free time… and i ESPECIALLY wont stand here, and listen to you preach disgusting falsehoods - which are really just poorly disguised hate.” she hissed to the stranger at the bar next to her, before picking up her drink and walking towards the other side of the bar. in her frenzy of rage, she didn’t even notice the person in front of her, as she slammed into them from behind, spilling her whiskey right on their back - eyes widening when she realized what she did, the former first daughter gasped. “ oh my goodness, i am so sorry,” she spoke, in a hurry, “let me get you some napkins, i - i can’t believe i did that..”

hello, all !! i’m back again as my busy weekend took precedent and wasn’t able to be online but i’m so excited to present my first child to you which is ramona harrison : i do wish that tamsin had more resources but i’m just going to have to deal with it.
Tumblr media
「 ☆ ━ tamsin egerton, cisfemale, thirty. it seems like everyone knows about ramona ‘mona’ harrison, the passionate lawyer and reality star that i actually heard is pretty erratic. she has been living in the city for twenty years, and they always remind me of business suits and statement necklaces. actually, they’ve sort of ruined fight like a girl by zolita for me, since they’re always playing it. / eleanor, 20, gmt, she/her.
homophobia tw
like most of these former rich kids, ramona was born into old money. her family had never struggled but her father seemed to thrive on working himself too hard anyway. her mother had worked for his telecommunications company before ramona’s birth then she fell into the doting housewife / socialite type that took a back seat as far as her husband was concerned. she was slightly younger than him, maybe that was the reason why he was given such a long leash to do what he pleased; she felt in debt to him. although her mother didn’t work, it didn’t stop the family from hiring as many helpers as possible; cleaners, au pairs, nannys, what exactly did her mother do?
as a child, ramona was rather quiet. she was the obedient and observant type that never asked for anything; she was spoiled so never had a reason too but she still had respect for those that she was surrounded by. her father did push her a lot to do well at school, even when she had just started but mona was a harrison and she was going to succeed. picture perfect, the family was not but they always left that impression. the little girl enjoyed playing dress up and it contributed to her acting skills and understanding social queues. yes, she’d say some things that weren’t related to the conversation but it was all about improving on where she went wrong so that she could continue to socialise with the adults. this made her rather conservative, as her family was and caused her to work even harder at being socially accepted.
when the chance came for her father’s company to expand to the big apple, they all moved and were comfortable too. her mother got more involved on the socialite scene, her father delved into his work and she went to convent of the sacred heart. that probably wasn’t the most suited place for her...
from christina applegate to jennifer aniston and gillian anderson, these were some of the women she loved, maybe a little too much as it went beyond adoration... of course, she denied the rumors that she liked girls; she wasn’t able to admit it at school because she had witnessed others being harassed for it and didn’t feel like she couldn’t take a stance and her parents were extremely conservative, her grandparents being irish catholic so she felt like that wasn’t even an option. this lead to a lot of internalised homophobia on her part. she wanted to be liked, to make everyone like her but that wasn’t going to happen if she didn’t act through her life.
mona threw herself into her studies, almost making it an excuse as to why she never brought any boys home. she hooked up with a few to keep up an image but that’s as deep as it was. whilst her parents did give her a substantial amount of money when she was in law school, she saved up a lot and was able to pay most of her fees back with their help. she was smart and was going to be a great asset to a corporate law firm. her parents still continued to be rather generous to her and did commend her for her work ethnic but her mother couldn’t understand why she worked as hard as she did when they gave her more than enough.
she was quite happy with her mediocre life, that was if they excluded the shots of her out partying. of course, her parents knew that she was gay but they would rather convince themselves otherwise. damage control became their prerogative when it came to their daughter to cover it up. she may have very well been an adult but she still represented them and her father’s business; mona needed to be careful.
last year she decided to make the decision to go on a tv show like ‘the bachelorette’ to find a potential husband. it made her parents happy; they were disapproving but her being on a reality show was better than her  making out with a different girl in the club every other night. it was a bad idea but she was so convinced that she could pull it off. of course, it didn’t end up that way. after stories were submitted to the press, the reality show producers had exactly what they needed to have the most dramatic season yet. she ended up being exposed on the show and after that, she thought that was it for her. she did break down and come clean, that wasn’t supposed to happen but she didn’t expect others to be so supportive...
despite her parents cutting her off, the support she got from the lgbt+ community was amazing and people did really lift her up from that. she hasn’t been back to work yet as clients are rather fussy about who does their work but she’s filling her time with tv interviews and exposing herself to more as far as her sexuality goes. things could have been handled a lot better but she does feel like a massive weights been lifted... it’s just a shame she waited to do it on a tv show!
mona is a bit posh and does keep people at a distance. she makes decisions hastily that can end up being a mess, just like her adventure on reality television, but she has a big heart and doesn’t want to be malicious in any way. she’s realised that going into her thirties wasn’t the time to make a public name for herself but there’s nothing she can do about it now !!
