disco elysium is truly one of the games of all time

on one hand, it was in development for years and is packed with over a million words of dialogue, hours upon hours of voice acting, some of the best art I have ever seen for a game in my life, an incredible soundtrack, and a genuinely thought provoking and fascinating story, all while making each playthrough unique to each player.

on the other hand, there’s a random audio mixing issue that blows your fucking eardrums out and everyone who plays the game seems to forget when that happens so they get hit by it every time
