The Bakers' wardrobe

Mariella & James, besides being a young couple, take great care of their physical and especially worldly appearance. Their clothes often seem to match in pattern and colour, but this is no coincidence: they both like to be admired when out with friends or at galas. Mariella brought made-in-Italy elegance and fashion with her and James is no less; since he married an Italian, he takes better care of his choice of clothes! Mariella, being a housewife, takes great care to make herself and her husband appear in perfect condition(apart from their home).

My OCs: The Baker family

Mariella Villa & James Baker met during the Second World War in Italy. She a brave partisan, he an airline pilot. James and his supply crew were driven to a remote village by the partisan group to help the locals feed themselves and tend to their wounds. As the days went by, James was increasingly fascinated by young Mariella's strength of character and beauty; he said that a woman like that he had never met in his miserable life. After the war ended, James packed his bags to return to America. He promised Mariella that he would hear from her by mail, and he did. For months the two wrote each other beautiful words … confirming the love of one and the charm of the other. James wanted at all costs to marry the Italian woman who made his heart beat faster and did everything he could to return to Italy, to the small town where she lived with her family. James learned Italian and a speech to make to Mariella's father to marry her. After much hesitation, the patriarch of the Villa family decided with his wife that James was a good guy after all and that he would make their only daughter happy. A few days later they were married in the town hall and with the documents still freshly printed, they left for the United States and within a few months found a house in James' hometown. Five years have passed since that 'yes' and both have never a day doubted that choice!

New Historical simblr!

Hi, my name is Momi and I have decided after a long time to join the sims group. I am a fan of vintage especially the 1950s decade. On this blog I will post some excerpts of my rescue set in Copperdale around the 50s and especially of my oc, which I will present to you shortly. Besides that I will post some useful finds, historical articles about the 50s lifestyle and some lookbooks about the sims 4. I will not bring a story or a decade challenge but clips of my oc's life with poses and dialogues and a few summaries of the past.
