I've come to realize that I tend to ship my favorite character with myself rather than creating an original character.

M represents a flawed version of me, although if that qualifies as an original character, then perhaps I simply hadn’t recognized it before.

In the Outlast Universe, the pairings I truly enjoy are Easterman with Wernicke and Eddie with Waylon. (Indeed, I exist within this timeline. My absence was merely a matter of having insufficient reason to make my presence known. So, yes, technically, I know most of youse.)

I have no issue with anyone shipping themselves or their original characters with anyone they like—I admire that kind of confidence!

However, one thing that tends to fuss me is when people overlook the fact that this is all fiction.

The media transmits messages that often lie hidden within us. When these messages surface, it’s crucial to focus on the underlying truth rather than getting lost in the fiction.
