revengeandretribution:
”I’m so annoyed right now that kneeing you in the groin sounds like a fun idea.” She drawls, looking up at him with an irritated expression. “So, we’re just going to stand here all night? I’ve kind of got things to do, so unless you actually want me to knee you in the groin, you should probably let me go.” An eyebrow is raised in his direction, and she cocks her head to the side in challenge.
But it doesn’t take long for her huff to go out of her. Because she is that tired, too tired to fight him, too tired to stand here and play this stupid game. “I’m not trying to pretend like things are normal. Things aren’t normal, they aren’t great, and they’re only going to get worse. And when they do, I’m going to be ready.” Sighing, she blows a long breath of air out of her cheeks. “If you’re going to be a pain in my ass and insist on holding me all night, can we at least move it to the bed? Maybe I’ll be able to sleep.”
"Violence is hardly the correct way to solve this." Which translated into 'i'm not letting you go so don't bring it up again'. "I'm kind of betting on your legs giving out at some point, which will lead to you realizing sleep is the only option." Isaac bites his lip for a second, almost worried that she might actually knee him. He tenses, waiting, but the hit never comes and he lets out a sigh of relief.
"You have to be mentally and physically ready. You can't be both if you never sleep, so really I'm just doing you a favor. One you will thank me for in the future." And he can feel the warmth of her breath move through the fabric of his shirt. He doesn't bring up the fact that if she plans to sleep, he won't be needed. That he could just go home so she could get rest. No instead he lifts her up, carrying her over to her bed and sets her down. A moments hesitation before he kicks his shoes off and moves to lay next to her, arms wrapping around her body. "Now get some sleep, Allison."

revengeandretribution:
Is he—? Oh, he’s really going to hug her. She sighs heavily, not trying to push him away, but also not really responding to it. The only thing she does is rest her hands on his waists and resist the urge to roll her eyes at him. He can’t really hug her for that long, can he? Sooner or later, he’ll have to let go.
”Oh, so you’d like me to live a long time? Good. But, my health is fine, so I’m sure I’ll get at least another ten years, at best. I can’t stop. If I stop then— No. I’m perfectly content going on the way I have. I’ll sleep later. Can you let go?”
"Can't." Completely ignoring everything else she said other than her request for him to let go. He couldn't, no he wouldn't. "Can't let go of you until you agree you'll sleep. I'll hold you all night if i have to, I'll hold you so long that you'll get so bored and annoyed that sleeping will sound like a fun idea."
He paused, letting out a sigh. Isaac could always try that, but he knows it would probably end in him getting his ass kicked. "I know you want to pretend that things are okay, normal, wonderful and great but the thing is you are going about it all wrong. People who actually think things are okay, normal, wonderful and great do a few things. They sleep, eat, go to work, school, they hang out with friends. They don't spend days avoiding bad dreams and feelings by playing with a weapons collection. So do me a favor, pretend everything is okay the right way."

”All the more time to prepare. I’m going to kindly ask you not to do that, and warn you that if you so much as think about it again, I’m going to kick your ass. —Why are you so worried about my sleeping habits, anyway? So, yeah, okay, that was a total lie. I just… can’t sleep right now. I don’t want to. I’ll be fine, even if I’m not right now.”
Which she’s also highly doubting, but she’ll try anything and everything to get him to leave her alone about it, even for a minute. It’s so much easier to convince yourself that thing’s are okay when you don’t have someone telling you that they’re not.
For the second his arms wrapped around her (in an almost protective way) he was just hoping she wouldn't hit him. No, he was showing affection. The correct way to react to that would not be to attack.
"Sleeping habits effect health, and your health determines how long you live. So excuse me for being a little worried about you. You'll get better, but not if you keep this up. Just take a nap, even a short one. Just something. Sleep, rest put the weapons away for the day. Just stop being an idiot and take some time away from training."

revengeandretribution:
”I’m preparing myself for something that’s inevitably going to happen. Deaton said giving power back to the Nema— thing, which will draw things here. And I’m going to be ready for them when they come. Sleep can wait. I’m honestly fine.”
Except, that honestly wasn’t so honest. She can feel the affects of not sleeping properly. Add that the fact that she never allows herself a moment to so much as sit down, she feels as if she could collapse at any moment. But it’s better than going back to the darkness, to the dreams, so she’ll continue to go on like this until she can’t.
"For all you know this thing wont get here for months, I think you can afford one day of sleep before that happens. If this keeps up I'm going to have to start crushing up sleeping pills and mix them in your water. I don't have to listen to your heartbeat to know that was a lie, you are far from fine. It's written all over your face and in the way you are with training."
He could just tell her that he's worried. That he doesn't want her to push herself too much and get hurt. But for some reason he wouldn't. So instead he'd just do his best to protect her from herself.

“Mostly is not all. Anything is possible when put enough effort behind; high metabolism really can be a bitch though. Like I said, drugs, not so much. Weed maybe; like self-proclaimed beach bums. Want something bad enough; and go for it. That’s the ultimate form of rebellion Curls. You can have whatever you want.”
"Have you been working on that inspirational speech for awhile now? Curls? I'm going to request you never say that again, or I'll be forced to make up a not so clever or cute nickname for you. The things I want, are always out of my reach no matter how much I want them."

revengeandretribution:
”I’m not going to die of exhaustion. I get a full two to three hours of sleep every night.”
Roughly. Most night’s it’s less than that, but when she closes her eyes, the dreams come. And the dreams aren’t just dreams, but full-blown nightmares that have her screaming herself awake. It’s not something she can handle.
"That's hardly acceptable. Allison, you are preparing for something that might not even come. You've got to get more sleep than that."
The wolf was starting to get sick of trying to force her to sleep. To face the nightmares he knew she was haunted by. Screams he could hear in the night. One's that belonged to the Argent girl, and maybe that was because he'd taken on the habit of walking by her apartment building every so often.

“Backhanded compliments suit you not sir. Really? Well it seems entitled. Anything that gets your adrenaline pumping; and adults look down their noses at. Sex, alcohol, drugs. Loads of stuff. Though not too fond of the drugs part. Partying till you drop works as well.”
"Weird, I was under the impression that everything suited me. I don't think it's possible for werewolves to get drunk, or so I've been told. Drugs- eh, smoking maybe. Ah, sex is the one thing on that list I can actually do. Kinda of stupid, don't you think, I can't even have a full teenage experience."

”There’s no way I could fit in a nap. Too busy.”
Because if she doesn’t keep herself busy, if she’s not constantly moving or training or doing something, she can feel the darkness crawling inside of her.
"Do you know how lame it's going to be when you die of exhaustion?"
And he thinks he understands. Thinks he knows why she is working herself so hard, but he can't be sure. Because he can't feel it, and he wouldn't ask. Not about that- it seems too personal.

“But an adorable fortune cookie, Lahey. And there shall be no more human sacrifices. No more alpha pack. Just good ole respectable teenage rebellion.”
"Adorable, irritating- same thing really. I never got the hang of the whole rebel thing. Mind lettin' me in on what being a teenager in rebellion entails?"

”As good as that sounds, I don’t think hibernation is going to happen anytime soon.”
"Y'know a nap wouldn't destroy your entire training schedule."

”So… is that it? Can we take a breather now?”
"It's over. For now, so I think a break and possibly a little hibernation would be a good idea right about now."

“How you optimism ~ Isaac Lahey style. Put a smile on your face; the outcome is far better then expected.”
"You sound like a fortune cookie, Argent. Though you're right, I mean none of us lost our lives in a creepy root cellar used for sacrifices of the human variety."

"Beacon Hills High is down a handful of teachers. I almost got crushed by the falling ceiling of a root cellar. The town has basically been one big battle field the last few months. But- I think we've seen our last dead body for quite some time, and that's something to be happy about, right?"

I'm going to try and be on later. Isaac's isn't really loving me right now.
My grandfather passed away on the 12th of july, and yesterday my cousin died.
I don't really know my cousin, i mean if i did know him i can't remember
but my Isaac muse is the only one who doesn't seem to be able to work through the deaths.

whatamianun:
Her eyes flickered to the water when he spoke and she didn’t have to think twice about wading through it to get to him. She had to be closer. Had to see for herself that he was ok. Lydia’s eyes met his and even though he told her he was alright she still looked him over purely for her own sanity. At his question she nodded her head lightly. “I’m fine." Without even putting much thought into her actions her arms encircled his waist as she breathed out a sigh of relief. “I—I thought I’d come in and you’d be gone."
"Oh thank god." Because much like her, he didn't believe she was truly okay. Not until she was standing right there in front of him. The room was dark, but he could see her perfectly. The only thing that was clear to him. Everything else seemed to blur away from him, arms surrounding her. Isaac's face pressed into Lydia's neck. "Not me- It wasn't me." Not him. Boyd. Boyd was gone and he was shaking. Trembling, but the tears wouldn't come. Not yet, but they would- sooner or later they would have to.

whatamianun:
As soon as Lydia noticed Boyd’s lifeless body surrounded by water her eyes immediately searched the room for Isaac. Her heart tightened in her chest and she held her breath until she found him safe. He was hurting that much she knew but comforting him would expose them. She didn’t care. “Isaac. Are you—did they—" Words failed her. This was a first.
Isaac's eyes were on the water. Just the water. Avoiding the eyes or bodies of anyone else around him. "So much water..." He mused. Unblinking, in shock. Stunned at the events that had just played out before him. Then there was that voice, the one that could pull him back from any thing, he was sure of it. Head darting up, gaze resting on Lydia. "I'm fine- alive, not bleeding." He trailed off, getting himself to his feet. "You- I mean, you're alright?" For the moment her safety was the only thing on his mind, pushing everything else away. Giving him a distraction of sorts.
