Modernism and the historical movement of design is huge! These photos describe definitions of schematics and development to something that will become of greater use to our society! The last image describes a visit to the Milwaukee County Art Museum. I explored the different pieces of artwork and drew them.

Design Thinking
Design can be defined in so many different ways. Integration and understanding what is being designed plays a huge part in this as well. In reading the “Design Thinking” article, I began to understand a true meaning of what a designer or artist goes through when thinking about a product. This is one of the most significant topics of discussion in my opinion. In regard to the subject of marketing, I personally play a huge role in it! As a vehicle sales manager, my role is to market and design an appealing image of my dealership to consumers around the United States! This means easy reading and easy understanding to everyone! A similar design thinking process is understood from the company that builds the iPhone! Apple is a major company that builds its entire marketing chain and product supply chain on the principle of creating a major aesthetic relative to its brand. Do you ever look at a fancy aluminum designed product and say, “Wow! That looks just like an Apple product!”. Apple build its brand upon people saying things like this and matching/creating its own design principals. “Aesthetic integrity represents how well an app’s appearance and behavior integrate with its function.” (Apple 2022). This integrity and design are brought forth as an inspiration to many phone and tech makers. The reading explained emotions of the designer along with their personality profiles. A personality trait that stood out to me the most was optimism. “They assume that no matter how challenging the constraints of a given problem, at least one potential solution is better than the existing alternatives.” (Brown 2021). This is another significant factor of design too! Steve Jobs displayed a huge amount of optimism before displaying the first iPhone. Interviews later said that the displays were just protypes, he was scared they were not even going to work for the keynote, but he did not let that stop him from releasing it to the world and creating a new era of smartphones! Overall, Apple, personal design experience, and the reading display a mutually exclusive ideology of aesthetics and optimism.

About me
Hi! My name is Mirko, but I go by Mark. I go to the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and study information technology. My hobbies include playing with my dog, football, cars, and anything tech related too! I began to take this class as it brings a lot of relevance to what I want to pursue and also gives me that experience of design and art. I have always held a certain type of respect for design and always enjoyed the overall attention to detail it may contain. I also enjoy abstract designs that give the viewer an open canvas on imagination to which they are able to decipher their own stories on this art and work. This is especially relevant when someone is critiquing a car and it's new design. They look for everything in regard to practicality and looks. Design quality is one of the biggest things to look for in a design. Car critiques look at panel gaps and design materials in order to decipher whether or not this is quality or not. Working in a sales environment currently, design is something we critique and judge very often in order to drive an efficient amount of sales in which I get my relevant experience from. Quality inspires me. I love the attention to detail in certain arts and designs. I love design and art in conjunction with my interests! I have definitely purchased items in which design was a factor over its competitor. Working for a BMW dealership, many people prefer the sporty curvy design over Mercedes and its dated design. As a customer myself, I not only wanted a design that looked good, but I also wanted something practical. Cup holders was the deciding factor for me! A design in which cup holders were to be large enough to fit my drinks was huge!
