The strange blackwash of fan art. Not only do black people seem to love blackwashing white characters but the fact that they do it as if this was ok to erase their ethnicity. I mean…what the hell is this?

I believe that’s not the Polaris I know and grew up with. The Polaris I know is quite beautiful with white light skin. Not saying the dark skin image here isn’t beautiful…but this is not the Polaris I can relate to. At least this skin here it’s nothing compared to this………

And this????????????????????What the hell is this???????????????????? Most disgusting level ever! That doesn’t look like Polaris at all. I mean…what’s their interpretation? How can they label this as Lorna Dane when clearly that’s not the real Polaris we know? But there are more……………..

LOL…I can’t get the art interpretation. The interpretation here is that dark skins are better than white skins. Sounds very racist to me. That’s the interpretation of what those blackwashed characters mean…which I just don’t get. I mean…what happened to the family? A sunburn? Did they all take a deep sun tan while on vacation? Do they know the increase in skin pigment…called melanin…which causes the tan color change in your skin is a sign of damage?…lol. I mean, really...what the interpretation? Nice how they always blackwashed the popular characters…and Professor some how remained…white…lol…how funny.

Black has nothing to do with Jewish because it’s a religion that anyone can join. Even I can become Jewish. Jewish comes in different colors and races. But if you type “Jewish” in Google and click the image…you’ll see that they are all white…or Caucasian…or European..or colorless…or what ever. Not even one single black image.

I understand this is all fan art…headcanon…fantasy…or whatever but why do they get mad when someone is whitewashed? Obviously…if they don’t like the whitewash…what makes them think others like the blackwash? Almost EVERYONE likes their characters to be accurate…I’m sure everyone here agrees with me.

Why black people or those that aren't white draw the Magnus family TOOO dark when they aren't? What's up with that? I mean WTF? BTW I like your blog.

I’m sure you’re coming to the wrong place to ask. Obviously they are not but I guess they’re just……black fans?

Now THAT”S what I’m talking about. I’d rather see her with this one instead of her classic one. I mean...LOOK AT HER. She looks POWERFUL. Here she’s truly looks like a Queen...leader and a warrior type. That’s what a Queen of Mutants should look like. Here she’s not all green but black added to her costume was an amazing idea. This is her unique look. Love those unique boots...her shoulder pads...her skull (just like she has in her classic costume) and her headpiece that makes her looks like a badass Queen. Not to mention her SMOKEY HAIR. She looked fabulous during that period of time. I love those designs as well as her personality. Here she was depicted as a powerful mutant that her father couldn’t be without. I literally don’t mind her wearing this again. If she can wear the classic over and over again...why not wear this. She looks amazing...wow...

Exactly. 50 years and still going back to the outdated costume...as if this was the only costume she can provide. Polaris is known for the amount of amazing costumes...and to believe that she can only go back to the old, green, classic costume...it’s super crazy. Often, I find myself contemptuous of those who pretend they cannot see the problem with Polaris wearing an old costume from the 60′s. I don’t care about classic...I care about transformation...that can take her personality to the next level. I don’t need the whole green to know it’s her. As you said...her hair and ability are her signatures. We don’t need the whole green as her signature.

Getting small amount of designs it’s not a significant innovation. She’s always plain green...no design whatsoever...and never getting secondary colors. Sometimes she does...but not always. If we want a perfect image as a Queen of Mutants...we will need a fierce costume that would serve her as a leader...just like in this image here. It’s all green but with secondary and tertiary colors and cool designs. I have nothing against her classic costume. I’m just mad that she’s wearing her old classic costume in the new Uncanny xmen. While Jean gets to have a completely different costume...Rogue gets a completely different costume...Psylocke...Storm..etc. Why can’t Polaris? Storm’s costume looks horrendous...with a giant X in her torso. It reminds me of Cyclops during his revolution. They can make the effort to create those ridiculous costumes but they can’t make Polaris a combination of variation of colors and designs? Fuck no... @marvelentertainment need to do better.

This is what we need...green and gold...not just green. But then again...that’s still her old classic costume. We need Polaris to have some nice makeover. It’s time. Magneto went back to his classic....AGAIN. He was better off with the last costume.

Are you saying in Lorna Dane’s forums from CBR is only run by just...one person...with multiple accounts? Just wondering since you said “ They just awful in hiding their mask.” I truly don’t give a fuck if you’re a Polaris fan...or a Storm fan...or both. But at least be honest with yourself. Don’t used Polaris’s name to provide or glorify Storm. You’re better off with a Storm avatar if that’s who you actually vote for...or die for...all the time.

I have noticed the trolls around here and twitter are laughable. Can you show me where Polaris is depicted as a raging asshole that constantly abuses her team members, spouts racist lines, and runs away in terror any time she has to fight? I thought this was more assumption than fact since she never ran away from any fight. Why can't people just be honest? I came to you since you seem to know everything and because I believe you're a fan that I can rely on.

Thank you so much. Trolls are always gonna be trolls and they will never be honest. Lorna has done none of the above and they can’t show you anything because there are no panels stating or depicting her in any of those situations you mentioned. If this was about her fighting with the Marauders for the first time on her own, then, no, she was not running away. Please read here so you can know the whole story.

Wow...where have I been during this particular moment. This is incredible. Came by to your blog since we both agree about Polaris getting some costume innovations and tumbled to this.

I remember that troll so called...“salarta” because it’s the only person in my block list. But I don’t know who is this strange name “valekementari”...but seeing this valeke-what ever...they do sounds like they are the same people. I mean...you gotta be that stupid when saying “And being you are the only worthy Polaris fan” to someone who actually failed as a Polaris fan. Reading each word slowly and distinctly...these two”people” are the same troll. Funny how this troll thought Pumazumba was someone she might know. Probably she thought it was me or some other people she faced before. But from being hilarious...this turned out interesting...lol.

First we have the Pumazumba and velekementari arguing...two distinctly different person...and then salarta jumped in right away. Well...not quite sure if it was right away but I can only assume this conversation went back and forth. I’m here reading each word slowly and distinctly...and reading and comparing every details from #1-3...is where the troll failed big time...and Pumazumba who was not a fan of Polaris...turned out he should be the fan and not vice versa. My guess about the troll...if the troll thinks people like pumazumba have “multiple accounts attacking people or that they are a group of people”...wouldn’t this also apply to her...or them...since here she got caught with 2 accounts (and I wonder how many more out there)? or maybe they are a group of people? I Mean...if the person accusing someone without knowing obviously the person is doing it.

How delightful to get her this time around in providing solid proof that she’s not who she says she is...a “fan of Polaris” but rather a Storm fan. I mean...this "fan” was defending Storm while denigrating Polaris...the character she was supposed to be defending...was the one...she was pushing over...lol. I must admit that this was a really good debate that I missed it...and I don’t need to say anything else about Polaris...it’s all here. So there is no need to repeat the same phrase when we know Storm didn’t win anything.
