On the few occasions John has hung out with Edea, he’d been on a mix of his best and worst behavior. Being around the fae can kind of make someone both on edge and high as a kite on excitement. Normally when they hung out it was the latter, mostly due to the fact that he was around his friend! However on this off occasion they were lounging around, one of John’s many hands shoved into the queen’s messy hair and just slightly petting at it, slumped against her and dozing slightly. The mothman was fairly comfortable around her, though normally you would expect people to be more suspicious and wary around the fae, but John was fine cuddled against her and petting through his friend’s hair.

Edea said something to the moth, lightly teasing him as he seemed to be dozing off, John snickered quietly and looked up at her tiredly. He really wasn’t that sleepy, but due to the comfort he just felt like a good time to doze a little was now! That’s all! John muttered out a lazy reply, snickering once more before he grabbed her hand. He gently pressed a peck to her knuckles as a thank you for letting him nap slightly against her, as he immediately returned to doing such after he pressed the smooch.

The Autumn Queen had decided to make an appearance. Any excuse to get herself dressed up nice was one she would take, and any excuse to gain a treasure trove of visual knowledge gratis was one she’d snap up in a heartbeat. One problem with that though - visual knowledge would only feed her hunger for further knowledge, and the risks of trying to wheel and deal in a place like this would prove to be... Well. Disastrous. 

To keep herself from temptation, a simple charm was placed on an item of her dress - the golden laurels that appeared to hold up her mass of fire-engine red hair. They prevented her from actually speaking, and instead transmitted a simplified (and fae filtered) version of whatever she was going to say to a fashionable brown kerchief tied around Ginger’s neck. The feline then would speak for her, preventing any accidental curiosities from escaping. 

They arrived. The two of them, walking in perfect sync. To the area to be appointed her rune, then to mingle. The last thing on her mind were the events of the last soiree she attended - she was here to look nice, enjoy herself, and get as many eyefuls of interesting things as she could.
