Silly goofballs

First officially finished drawing of the year. Donnie and April.

One goal of mine for this year, is to grow more in drawing expressions (eyes, mouth positions that aren't just flat lines), and hands. Those are all HARD for me to draw, and I hardly ever use references. Bad habit, I know, but I never have, except when I still drew prortaits directly off photo references.

For this one drawing, I was very lucky in how I could shape them in the sketching process, and I love how it rolled off the pencil colored.

This was drawn as part of Apritello Kinktober 2024, but for everything I couldn't do in October. Kept it sft, so they might as well be good friends here. I like them all the same.

That's better :D. Progress on the Ibis Paint color project. I got my Wifi back after a near 3 week wait, so I can actually directly upload stuff again in 2025.

This was one of my earliest drawings this year, and I am glad I am pushing through with trying to add some color.

I know it's been a WHILE since I've posted any art or updates for the art, apart from the initial sketches. This is because I have a billion projects going on; fics that need writing, other art, and also... This one project is BIG.

I will update the entire deal on my AO3 collection once it's ready at some point. I want to do a lot of scenes more (I currently have about 12), and I want to talk about it real good, and I want to include several of the intimate scenes and relevant action with them. Also a LOT.

So... It's not abandoned. It just takes time 😅. I'm currently doing a lot of detail hunting and thinking about what I want to include because sadly, I need to make choices. I'm not good at that xD.

As an AO3 writer and fervent fanfiction enjoyer, I am curious how other people enjoy stories on AO3, or even here.

Doesn't matter if it's about fluff, horror, adventure, romance, or things beyond romance... How do you tend to enjoy your stories?

With so many places to see it, and so much good stuff around, do you feel content with just seeing it once? Or twice? Or is there more to the story of enjoying art on Tumblr?

I like art, I like history, I like romance, adventure and intimacy in art, and I love me a good story that combines all these aspects. Chef's kisses to all creators out there!

So we have 2014, 2015 or 2016, and 2024 (two weeks ago, unfinished art for Apritello Kinktober; belongs to a fic I want finished first.).

I never really liked drawing humans until I started seeing TMNT (fan)art at 15 years old, and wanted to be able to do such things myself some day. Fast forward and several fandoms later, now I love playing with poses, and story aspects... And I like drawing humans. It's gotten a lot better :D

Levade.

A higher academic dressage movement, that once served its purpose in horses trained for war purposes. Takes a lot of strength and balance for a horse.

Can't believe I drew this ten years ago already. I was, and am still, quite proud of this one.

Another throwback. The hardest, most time consuming work I ever did, somewhere in 2016-something and spread out over multiple months (That I really have to take a better picture of at some point still, because it looks better than this).

This one, I did with ink and colored pencils that I've had since childhood. Would be cool if I get this technique down again, in my fan arts.

Old art, 2017. I tried a 'draw every day for a year 'challenge whilst also focusing on my degree. Not the easiest thing. Got pretty far, but lost motivation eventually.

Most of my art back then consisted of pencil drawings, but I've worked with paint, coffee as paint (which was pretty fun), and nail polish.
