"Funny how the truth works like that, isn't it? I avoided being you by letting you be me, I almost walked out of the story before deciding to join myself within myself. What can I say? I have an aversion to making sense."

"One of the fun things about Loki, you never know if the person standing next to you is me. Or a me."
"Of course, and I will be the first to admit, sometimes that's not a very fun thing at all."

“There was, until I brought him home, so to speak. Wait, that sounds like I killed him, no no, I just let him be me. Which, believe me, was significantly less harsh than what he deserved, but someone had to stop the cycle.” Loki grinned, tooth missing and head tilted. “The fantastic, all-in-one, three distinct timelines wrapped in one pretty package.”

"If I didn't know any better--and luckily, I do--I'd say you were developing a conscience."
That being said, Loki sat with a cup of five-flavor punch, watching. Trying to hide that he was more than a little worried.

"Ratatoskr," Loki explained, "Is the Asgardian and/or Norse goddess of gossip. Great friend of Doreen Green on account of being a squirrel, though I expect you don't know who she is, either." To be perfectly honest, Loki felt unwanted, but that feeling was hardly a novel one. Rather a bit like feeling home. "I promise not to get in your way. Er. I promise to do my best not to get in your way, let's be quite clear. Wouldn't want to make a promise I can't keep," he grinned, missing tooth on display. "I'm still somewhat new to the heroism bit, but I'd enjoy helping, I think. If you'll have me." Or, likely, even if you won't.
"I have no idea who that is," the Doctor stated and pulled the last lever for the TARDIS to land. "Like I said, right now I'm a bit busy. There's an alien stuck on Earth who has sent out a distress signal. They need my help getting home, so I have to find them, which can be rather difficult when they could be anywhere on the planet."

"Your family, it seems, is very fond of alliteration," Loki said unneccessarily. "The wolf wouldn't happen to be called Hati, Skol, or More, would they?" The little godling winced and fidgeted slightly, worried that might be the case, even more so than the vampire of any type. "There is a history, you see, of me and them, and I should hate very much for it to come out at school. I would likely be shortly missing several limbs and very much blood."
"I'm certain we'll get along then." Michiko smiles. When Loki pokes Piper, she giggles and her giggle turns into an undignified snort. "Well, if you're more familiar with robotic bodies, the gentleman down in the lunchroom is a Humagear, a sentient android who only wants to cook and experiment with new recipes. If you suggest a recipe for him, and he's able to get the ingredients, he'll put it on the menu the next week." Piper considers Loki's words. "Hmm, most-famous brother of Loki...oh, you mean Tyr!" She's teasing, obviously but she does have a fascination with esoteric information and trivia.

"You know, that's a very good question. Not on an individual basis. We're born, we live, we die, we go to Valhalla, Folkvangr, or Hel. Then Ragnarok comes again--despite several times being assured that this was the last one--and then everything is renewed." She smirked. "Although, one time, instead of the cycle starting over in that way, everyone was shunted into mortal bodies because Thor didn't quite know how to bring everyone back, then those bodies had to die to release our godly selves, our memories and forms returned. Quite an ethical dilemma when we had snippets of identity of the human form, too."
"I think that might fall under the Valkyries' area of expertise, but yeah, I used to be a naughty, naughty person. Did a lot of killing. And stood by when others did." A pause and a frown. "Some of that hasn't happened yet, I think."

"Well, alright, we can keep one or two, then," he agreed, though it didn't seem his heart was in it. "I suppose I need people to believe I exist, too, now that I think about it. Maybe we up the number to one or two hundred? Just a little farm."
“Loki, you don’t understand! If all the mortals die, then I will die!! Don’t you understand that?!”

Dear Old King Loki,
You’re now my papa.
No, you can’t get out of this.
No, I don’t care if you’re an old man.
My papa.
Love, Little One
PS. I got into da cupcakes again 😊
"Old?! I'm not old!" He stands up. "...I am old, but that's not the point."

"Oh, just President of the United States of America. My entire platform was that every politician lies, I'm just open about it. Turns out, they eat that up on ol' Midgard. I was polling very well, too, faltering at the debates a little when asked about actual policy, and J. Jonah Jameson was the first to poke the fact that I was only from Midgard on a very thin technicality, but before Angela got involved, I was doing well."
"She...takes a bit of getting used to at times. Was not pleased when I ran for Midgardian public office. Then again, despite having a very happy voter base, I was...polarizing in general."

“Well, you see,” he replied, slightly confused, “It all began on the day of my birth. Continued until my second death. Then it got a bit funny after that.” He waggled his fingers in a so-so gesture. “This is me. This has always been me. And I’m very confused, because you were saying you didn’t like mortals, so wouldn’t not having them make you happy?” Not that he knew what happiness felt like, except for very brief moments, so so long ago, moments he looked back on with spite for their brevity.
The illusion of Sal’s face faded back once she saw that her true appearance upset her husband.
“No one hurt me, my little icicle. I just got back from reaping souls…humans are just so cruel to their own people…”
Tears began to peek out from her eyes as her false eye began to roll in a different direction than her real eye before quickly popping it back into place.

"You know, crying's healthy once in a while, but too much of it and you get dehydrated," he said, picking up the eye, cleaning it off with magic, rolling it around in his fingers a few times, and handing it back to her. "You don't see Hela crying, eh? Not even when Karnilla died and died and died." A look of disgust crossed his face. "My ex-sister-in-law is my daughter-in-law. Oh, dear dear dear. Such tangled webs we gods weave."
"Safe and happy. Two words that never really applied to me. You definitely bring out a little more of it than most ever did, though. Cheer up, before too much longer you won't have any souls to reap, not on Midgard, not anywhere else!"
