I was always attracted not by some quantifiable, external beauty, but by something deep down, something absolute. Just as some people have a secret love for rainstorms, earthquakes, or blackouts, I liked that certain, undefinable something.

Lead through an iron cavern
Corrugated fixation
A gaze of understanding to an open door
Cool crystalline in cylinders
Distilled and swilled
And another grasp tonight
A slow retreat towards melody
When in the peace, an offering
Nail beds mark fibre
Citrus; ripped,
A pithy existence torn by enamels
Vesicle flecks on flesh, devoured
