I’m back with the promised Faruzan comic!

I've always been kinda fascinated by the tragic implications of Faruzan’s backstory, though it’s rarely touched on in the game itself.

All the text in the comic is taken directly from Faruzan’s 4th and 5th character stories.

Anyway, I never left but I haven’t been posting! Maybe when I have more free time I’ll give this place a good dusting.

A reminder that turning in assignments for partial credit is better than not turning them in at all. It is. Even if you think you’ve done a bad job and are ashamed of your work, or it’s way overdue, you take whatever you can get. Partial credit dramatically improves your grade over a zero, and I’m always astounded by how often even the smartest kids don’t really comprehend that. 60% is worlds better than 0%. Even 10% is going to help you. Letter grades are misleading and are not created equal. “F"s are mathematically valuable. Turn that late assignment in.

Lil icons I made for the Wakfu avatar design contest! I’m quite happy with most of these, and four of them were chosen for the gallery! :D Of course I would’ve liked to have a little more time to make more (I had a couple of sketches waiting), but I’m glad I was still able to make nine haha

I wasn’t able to post any art in a while, and that’s because I haven’t been drawing, period. I feel so creatively (and physically) exhausted because of my studies, which leaves me kinda struggling with my motivation to create, well... anything, really. I’m resting a little and hoping that passes eventually. Trust me, I would love nothing more than to show off my OCs in all of their (sometimes non-existent) glory _(:3」∠)_

Anyway, “being alive” problems aside, I’m proud to say that I’ve dusted some old Elsword OCs, and am now currently working to (slowly but surely) detach them from the game’s lore with my best friend. It’s not much and it probably won’t interest that many people but hey, it feels good to be working on those characters again.

If you struggle with anxiety, overwhelm, or just plain feeling like a failure, I have a mantra for you that’s been really helping me out lately:

Just show up.

I used to skip class because the whole thing was so overwhelming: I had to get dressed in something clean even though I never had the energy to do laundry, walk to school, sit in class for up to three hours, plus pay attention, take notes, and participate in discussion. In reality, I was being a perfectionist, and life would have been a lot easier for me if I had Just Shown Up. By staying home because of my depression and anxiety, I wasn’t giving myself the chance to do any of that. I was such a perfectionist that being a “bad” or average student was unthinkable, so I stopped being a student at all.

If you’re having trouble getting something done, Just Show Up. You don’t have to be employee of the month. You don’t have to be valedictorian. Just Show Up.
