“Long enough for Mav to get married,” he chuckled. “Killian. Owns a bar. Really nice guy.”
“Maverick got married?” Now that was something he wasn’t expecting to hear but it was great news. “Wow. How long was I actually gone?” he joked. “Who did he marry?”

Apparently they do. Yeah, no point you screwing over a roommate for someone who got screwed over by their roommate.”
“What the hell did you do, man? People don’t just up and leave then tell you a couple of months later… I’d offer up myself as a replacement, but I bagged myself a new place when I arrived so there’s no point.”

“I’d like to think I wasn’t suffocating to live with. Or that he’d tell me if that was the case. Two months apart doesn’t really give me time to all that suffocating,” he considered.
“Yeah? You never had an instant when something you had to do or say made you feel like you’re… I don’t know, being buried alive or something? You have the right to be annoyed though, not denying you that.” He shrugged. “We people like to sped our time in denial.”

“You better had,” he hit Mav’s shoulder, playfully. It was still rather unspoken between Maverick and Milo; the marriage. Milo knew full well that he’d reacted badly. A lot worse than he knew Maverick had wanted him to. It was his brotherly instinct – something that would never go away. “I think so. Some couples don’t even sleep in the same bed. At least you’re not at that stage, right?” he joked, knowing Mav needed it. “Have you tried talking to him about it?” he turned to him, stopping their walking for a second. “If it bothers you, maybe it’s worth discussing.”
Maverick smiled slightly, removing his hand from Milo’s neck and pushing it back into his pocket. “So I promise next time I’ll make sure you’re my best man,” he joked after a moment, feeling somewhat awkward about it all when it came to Milo. “We’re married but we don’t even live together. That normal?”

“We left it in our shared dressing room until it lost all of its petals and sagged over. It was a shared experience.”
“Aw, damn. I’d like to think it was for you, too. Otherwise it’s just kind of sad, especially if it’s dead and the person it was meant for never even got it.”

“We rent. Well, he rented.. I guess. Low commitment.”
“Is that even, um, is that even…legal? Isn’t there a lease or..or something?”

“Suck majorly, doesn’t it?” He agreed, trying to go keep the irksome feeling to a minimum; having a tendency to project on others. “We kept in contact the entire time he was gone. Not even a hint that he was thinking of moving out.”
“I’m more familiar withthe ‘never came back’ part of your statement than I would have wished to be,”Tucker said with a bit of a nod. He thought that at least someone had botheredgiving him an excuse as to why they were leaving; it was far more than he hadgotten, but, it would probably be one of those unwelcome comments. “Have youbeen able to reach them ever since they left?” he wondered.

“Don’t worry about it. I came for idle chit chat. Nothing serious,” he shrugged.
“Tha’s Mav. He moves like a ghost.” Killian smirked, though he wasn’t much convinced about the man’s congratulations, though he didn’t read much into it. “Do ya need me ta pass a message on fer Mav?”

“No, he went home two months ago – ‘family issues’. He only now decided to tell me that he’s moving out, never coming back. I mean, it was nice to have the place to myself while he was gone. But he still paid the bills while he was gone. Now I’m left in a rut.”
“Wait, I’m confused here. Is the person leaving in two months? Or are you being asked to leave in two months? Well can you get by without one then? I know it’s easier to have one, but maybe it’ll be nice? Or you could maybe find someone you like just as equally? Then it won’t be so bad.”

adriangallagher:
@milo-diluca
Adrian took a deep breath. This was the first time he was going to see Milo in a while. The two shared a brief period of time together in Australia for Milo’s birthday, but other than that, that was it. Adrian missed the man more than anything. He was his best friend. Yes, they had plenty of benefits and were trying out this dating thing, but he was always a friend first. Adrian wanted to surprise the man but he really didn’t know how to do it. It was why he showed up Milo’s door. There was no grand gesture that he could make. Adrian knocked lightly on the door waiting for a few seconds. When Milo did open the door, he let out the biggest smile he could manage. “Spero che mi hai perso tanto quanto mi see mankato.” Adrian tried his best to say, probably messing up severely. “Ah, tell me I didn’t say something wrong. I’ve been working on that for weeks.”
Milo had been in bed when he heard the knock on the door. Arguably, fighting his way out of the cocoon he had created from his duvet, followed by lazily stepping his way across his apartment, wasn’t the best look he could’ve answered to; the man on the other side made Milo forget all about what he looked like. His face lit up immediately upon seeing Ian. It had felt like years, despite being just over a month since he’d gone to Australia to visit him. “Mi sei mancato, tanto,” he pulled him in for a kiss. “You did perfectly,” he grinned, looking deeply into Ian’s eyes, not wanting to look away from them for even a second.

kenny-torres:
It really wasn’t a good sign but if Kenny ended up being sick, he could still blame Milo for that. “You can take as many as you want, they’re free anyway, I forgot that for a second”. Kenny nudged Milo with his shoulder and started walking. “Do you mind catching me up? I bet a lot has changed in six months”.
“I’ll fill myself up on them. That way I don’t have to make anything when I get in,” he smiled at the thought of going home and having nothing to do. “I don’t know if all that much has happened in life. Mav got married – did you hear about that? Who’d have called it?”

“I…. think it’s a good idea to look for a new place and or roommate if that happened to you, honestly? Without any word or way of contact in between? Don’t expect him to come back.”
“I can’t even begin contemplating all of this right now. I have to start thinking about paying bills on my own, and, and.. God!” he took a moment. “We kept in contact over the months. There were never signs that he was thinking about upping and leaving.”

“Pretty damn indecisive, it would seem.”

“Thanks, I heard it brings out my eyes” Alistair laughed, pushing a small chair in the man’s direction. “Just you wait, she’s in the kitchen right now making dessert”
“You heard correct,” he confirmed. Watching as the small plastic seat slid towards him, Milo felt slightly puzzled. “Thank you for the formal invite.”

“Or we could deliberately get that mail… Just imagine how many things I could order in your name just to watch hell break loose,” he said with a chuckle, this was somewhat amusing to him.
“If you start pulling anything like that, you can expect it in return,” he laughed, appreciating the fun side of his neighbour.
