Jonsa is Cat's reckoning. She didn't want her children seeing Jon as a true brother, and Sansa is ever the dutiful child.

As a proud member of the Catelyn Stark Defense Squad, I need to object to the idea that Catelyn requires punishment for her fraught relationship with Jon. Their society pits the rights of women (and their children) against bastard children in order to protect the property and sexual liberty of men. Her fears were proven right by Robb and Stannis. It was never about Jon as a person, only ever about the threat to her children's rights that he represented.

And in that context, the idea that he's actually Lyanna's son (still behind her kids in the line of succession in a way no legitimizing could ever change) and defended Sansa's right to inherit and, you know, would actually love and protect Sansa? She would be on board!!

It's not a reckoning, it's a miraculous solution to her problems with him. 😎

Hey everyone! I’m not sure how many of you remember this user, but lostlittlesatellites or batterydeaddotdot was a well-known Jonsa meta-writer in our fandom. Sadly, they deactivated, and as far as I know, we don’t really know why. A big chunk of their amazing work seems to have been lost, which was so sad for so many of us.

But here’s the good news: I recently discovered that some of their metas were saved on the "Way Back Machine" site! So, I put together a list of some of their pieces to share with all of you. I love how the books are their own complete sociological study. The reaction throughout the readership tells a lot.

I've seen this tweet yesterday and it annoyed me. I don't know if they're serious or trying to be funny. But idk... why do people put the blame on a child and not the adults around her ?

Sandor Clegane was charged by Cersei to find and kill Mycah. And he actually killed him without much problem and didn't seem to feel guilty when Ned asked him about it. Plus, when Sansa lied to Robert, poor Mycah was already dead. So both Cersei and Sandor should be blamed for his death. I'd even add that in the books, Sansa told Ned everything about what happened and he didn't do much either. But I don't see people blaming them either.

About Lady... it's never presented to Sansa, not even once that Lady could have died. And everyone was surprised that Cersei would ask for her death from Arya, to Ned and even Robert. Lady was killed because Cersei wanted it and because Robert didn't have the guts to refuse her that.

And everyting happened in the first place because Joffrey was a fucking bully and wanted to hurt Mycah because nobody thougth of teaching him better.

I'm not saying Sansa was right for lying. But she took the best decision she could in a difficult situation. I do think she wasn't well protected there - and neither Arya. It's crazy to me that Joffrey could walk/talk alone with Sansa. Where was her chaperone ? You don't let your 11 /13 daughter be on her own. Especially in medieval times. Then, when they ask her what happened, there was pressure on her. Joffrey was her fiancé. She was going to marry him. She was raised to be loyal to her future husband. And anyway, everyone was able to tell Sansa was afraid. Robert could tell that his "son" was lying. He admitted himself to Ned.

I'm sorry, but people always erase the whole context of situations when they talk about some scenes. It seems so weird to me.
